Bubble Snooker 1.2

Bubble Snooker 1.2

Bubble Snooker is a new dynamic and bright logic game for Linux! more>>
Bubble Snooker is a game that combines the best features of Bubble Shooter, Pool, and Arcanoid. The winning strategy is to play from the cusions not letting the balls fill in the whole table.
Perfect 3D graphics, pleasant sound and music, addictive gameplay, this is what you get when play Bubble Snooker. Besides, you can take part in the International Bubble Snooker Tournament online. The game runs on major Linux flavors.
Game Rules
Your task is to remove the balls from the pool-table by shooting at them with the balls of definite color and combining together 3 or more balls of the same color. If the shot was unsuccessful, additional balls appear on the hexagonal net following the rules of John Conways Game of Life. The balls that do not have neighboring balls (single balls) are removed from the table.
When all the balls are removed you go to the next level. If the balls of the definite color are removed from the table, this color will not appear again on this level. The game is over if one or more balls touch on the lower edge of the table. In case the shooting ball strikes against the lower edge of the table, the colors of the balls on the field are substituted for
accidental colors (including already removed colors). On the right there is a cue which serves as the indicator of the power of shot: the more it is pulled out upwards the stronger the shot is and the farther the shooting ball gets between the balls. For every removed ball you get 1 point on the 1st level, 2 points on the 2nd level and so on.
Be very attentive and do not leave the "islets" of balls close to the lower edge of the table because after 2 or 3 misses the islets can grow and some ball will touch on the lower edge of the table (that will lead to the end of the game). The winning strategy is to play from the cusions not letting the balls fill in the whole table. Try to remove at least one color from the
very first shots. Do your best to make the winning combination (2 or more balls of a definite colors together) for all colors be available at all times.
Do not forget to send your best result to the International online tournament - this is done from the TOP SCORES window.
Be prepared that this game will keep you busy for quite a while.
The runs on major Linus flavors (RedHat, Debian, Mandrake, SuSE, Slackware and others).
Good luck!
Enhancements:
- Several players can use the game individually
- New skill level Easy Ride for more fun than ever
- Live Bubbles: now with real physics and smooth flying
- Games and configurations can be saved separately for each player
- Cool 3D explosions and other striking effects
- International online Tournament

Cold War 1.0.1 DEMO

Cold War 1.0.1 DEMO

Cold War follows the story of a freelance journalist who finds himself in the midst of an international conspiracy. more>>
Cold War follows the story of a freelance journalist who finds himself in the midst of an international conspiracy that aims to control the U.S.S.R. Twelve hours after arriving in Moscow for a routine story, he has been stripped of all possessions, beaten unconscious and thrown into the KGBs political prison.
Using only recovered weapons and improvised gadgets, he must now evade or overcome elite Soviet forces and defeat the conspiracy before he is sent to a Siberian prison camp or killed.
Cold War is an RTS game for Linux and Windows.
Razor Kane, an Independent Journalist and former CIA Agent, takes on the KGB in the former USSR at the height of the Cold War.
Razor Kane is a journalist with an edge, or three. Having been kicked out of the CIA for his extracurricular activities, Razor is now writing articles about his exploits for all the readers back home. Razor Kane is as much a newsman as Indiana Jones is an archeologist. Part investigative journalist, thrill seeker and adrenaline junky, Razor always ends up in the middle of the action, in whatever remote country he may find himself, which is usually one where the alcohol flows and exotic, friendly woman are plenty.
This time Razor penetrates the deepest depths of the Former USSR to hunt down a group of communist hardliners who are plotting to threaten world peace. Razor will fight and match his wits against the enemy in environments like Chernobyl, Mausoleum and Kremlin, some of the most well-known and symbolic places of the former Communist rule. This is the world behind the Iron Curtain, a world of a totalitarian Soviet Union at the height of the Cold War.
Razor has to draw upon all his skills and experience for this challenge. Stealth plays a leading role: Razor has to move quietly and deliberately; slip behind enemies unnoticed; duck for cover behind objects; and hide in the shadows. He can disable alarms, pick locks or confound security cameras. When in a tight spot, he is good with a gun, but usually outfoxing the enemy is the best way to succeed.
Venture Inside the Former USSR
Cold War achieves a first in gaming history, by transporting players inside a realistic depiction of some of the most well known places of the Former USSR, a place which has captured the imagination of the general public in books and films for generations, but has only been lightly covered in electronic games. This is not a highly stylized and fictional USSR, but the real thing. Who better to develop this environment, than a talented team of developers living in Eastern Europe.
Realistic Gameplay - Pierce the Iron Curtain
Outnumbered and on their turf, tactics and stealth are required for pulling off this mission. Just blasting away, Razor may win the battle but will definitely lose the war. Realistic play is required to pierce these almost impenetrable beacons of the Former USSR.
Master the Interactive Environment
Cold War provides a highly interactive environment, where clues to unraveling this conspiracy are found logically inside the game, not in disruptive pop-ups and pictures.
Use the highly interactive environment: If you cant slip past security cameras, disable them; pick a lock to access a safer route; enemy approaching through an elevator? - then shut it down.
Encounter Numerous Types of Enemies
Full of different types of enemies with unique AI, a large range of tactics and strategies are required: run away from a slow soldier; confuse a dog with pepper; or eliminate a soldier wearing night-vision goggles with a flash grenade. By observing the enemy and understanding their behavior, discover new strategies for outfoxing them.
Weapons & equipment
Full of equipment to allow a variety of problems to be solved using a number of methods: At night, use night vision goggles; for long distances, use binoculars; a heart beat sensor detects enemies behind walls; a uni-direction microphone can be used to overhead enemy plans.
Sound like a typical feature set of a typical game? - Well, Razor is anything but typical! And his unconventional approach is extremely frustrating for, well, the rather conventional enemy. He is able to cleverly use every day items to create superb tactical and lethal gadgets. For example, an alarm-clock and paint thinner, on their own, are rather harmless, but by combining the two, a dangerous trap can be created which will not only lure the enemy to the bomb, but blow them away in a fiery mess.
Weapons must be used sensibly though, because ammunition supplies are not infinite and the player is usually outnumbered. And of course, more overt use of weaponry will increase the response by the enemy - who will swarm and fire more, than if silent but deadly methods are used.
Technology & Graphics
Superb graphics masterfully depict the rich environment of the communist USSR during the Cold War, using N-Djinni proprietary game engine. Due to the unique mix of the technologies designed especially for this project, we intend to achieve a graphically stunning game even on average hardware configurations.
Main features:
- Stunning locales from mid-1980s U.S.S.R: Chernobyl, the Mausoleum and the KGBs notorious Ljubljanka prison
- Strong esponage/stealth style with realistic AI enemies and missions based on real world events
- In-game elements are combined to create weapons and traps
- Innovative gadgets including an X-Ray camera
Gameplay:
Players match wits and strength against the powerful Russian enemy using only recovered weapons and improvised gadgets to eliminate opponents.

DROD: King Dugans Dungeon 2.0.11

DROD: King Dugans Dungeon 2.0.11

DROD: King Dugans Dungeon is a puzzle adventure game for all ages. more>>
DROD: King Dugans Dungeon is a puzzle adventure game for all ages.
This is where Beethros delvings really got started. Go deep into King Dugans dungeon, solving puzzles and fighting monsters.
The game is easy to learn, but difficult to complete. There are hundreds of rooms to explore and each is a handcrafted challenge.
What happened to Beethro on his first excursion into King Dugans Dungeon? Well, mainly it was just the usual dungeon exterminators subterranean grind: killing off thousands of roaches, chopping through tar, guzzling mimic potions, and generally ridding the Kings underground chambers of all that should not be there. But also Beethro met an unexpected enemy, created lifelong grudges against him, and learned secrets that would later motivate his journey to Rooted Hold.
King Dugans Dungeon has been around in different forms for years. It is the original game that started many DROD players careers. Now weve upgraded it to make full use of the latest DROD engine.
King Dugans Dungeon now has better graphics, new rooms, new secrets, complete voice acting for Beethro and other characters, and is fully integrated into our online score and progress-tracking system.
The old version is still available, but for the best experience, we recommend this version of King Dugans Dungeon. To give you a sense of what lies in store, this level collection is roughly the same size as Journey to Rooted Hold, with over 350 rooms!
The full version of DROD: King Dugans Dungeon also contains Neil Fredericks excellent hold, The Choice. This is a challenging series of rooms organized such that each room must be completed in one of two ways, depending on an initial decision.
Enhancements:
Now demo recording isnt aborted when rewinding to a move inside the recording session.
- Lost drod.ini entries are now set to default values on startup.
- Reduced slowness caused by unneeded data saves.
- Faster in-game rewinding to a checkpoint save.
- Halph pathmapping faster with lots of monsters in the room.
- Script commands created, then changed to a Label type, couldnt be made Goto destinations.
- Victory demo recording wasnt working after restoring to the start of a clean room.
- Slayers wisp couldnt find player on a tunnel; wisp shouldnt intersect decoy swords.
- Goblins now avoid decoys sword when targetting the decoy.
- Now orb associations arent lost when door tiles are deleted in the room editor.
- Scripted sounds wouldnt play repeatedly.
- Minor aesthetic and UI fixes.

The game is played on a board with dark and light squares, arranged in an 8x8 grid. Each player sets his 12 pieces on his side of the board in three ranks on dark checks. Checkers is played on the dark squares only. The players move one piece at one turn. The pieces may be moved diagonally.

The game lasts until all of the opponents pieces are captured, or are blocked so that they cannot make a move. The player who loses all the checkers or has them blocked loses the game.
