ThinkTanks is a tank combat game designed to be a blast for the new and experienced gamer alike with lighthearted, fast paced pandemonium.
Either battling against brain-hungry bots in solo play or going head-to-head against others online, ThinkTanks has something for everyone.
Main features:
Tanks and special Weapons:
- Drive one of three tanks: light, medium and heavy. The light tank is quick, but with weaker armor. The heavy tank is an armored beast with a honkin weapon, and the medium tank is the best of both worlds. All the tanks can use weapon powerups, which give extra-special shots, and are just the thing for getting out of tight spots and racking up points. In addition to super-speed and area-effect projectiles, there are bounce back projectiles that bounce and skitter across the terrain and explode with deadly effect when they are near another tank.
Multiple Worlds:
- The richly detailed and vibrant worlds of ThinkTanks are designed to provide you with different challenges on different worlds. The rolling hills and lush valleys are great for long range sniping and dogfighting. The dark and spooky missions are harder to navigate, and you must keep your wits about you or you may get ambushed by others lurking in the shadows. The skatepark-like lava fields are great for highflying mayhem and aerial assaults. All the missions offer their own unique challenge and will provide hours of fun as you seek to refine and improve your fighting skills.
Bots:
- ThinkTanks Bots are some of the wackiest and interesting hunks of metal this side of the Crab Nebula. The cold-cunning and eagle eyes of the master HUM-Bot (and his annoying sidekick Ri-Bot) inspires fear in all. The strong and steady presence of the Bot Twins, Gul-Bot and Tom-Bot will give you a run for your money while the berserk Mal-Bot dives headlong off cliffs and runs circles around the dim-witted Gum-Bot.
Customize the experience:
- Custom Game creation and Bot Configuration allow for a true custom mission design enabling you to create custom battle scenarios. The Auto Drop Feature allows you to configure an online game and populate it with Bots who drop out when Humans join in. Password Protected Servers allow the player to keep out anyone but those they give the password to, allowing for private games with your close friends or for solo training missions. Our Child-Safe Filter can turn off player and server names and in-game chat messages, so parents can feel secure knowing their children will not be subjected to verbal abuse by "less-than-savory" characters.

TetriBox is a pack of 18 arcade games with different blocks, grids, strategies and logic. The games are the new interpretation of the popular Tetris game, greatly improved and having a lot of various features that make them really unique.

Game Rules

In all games your goal is to keep the board from filling up as long as possible and get the highest score.

There are six types of the game:

1. Quadrix - the most classic one. Each piece in this game consists of four blocks. You can rotate the falling piece to fit it into free space. When you build a line of blocks that goes from left side of the board to right one - that line of blocks disappear. More lines removed at once - more points you get. Game starts with empty board.

2. Pentix - this is more advanced game, because here pieces contain from 2 to 5 blocks. The other rules of the game are identical to Quadrix game.

3. Picktris - At the beginning of this game you have board partially filled with some special blocks on it. To finish a level you will have to remove all of these special blocks. Everything else is like in Quadrix game.

4. Columns - This game is much different from the previous ones, because here you cant rotate the falling piece, but you can switch position of blocks within the falling piece. In this game your goal is not to build lines that go from left to right through the board, but to place blocks with the same color close to each other. When three or more blocks with the same color are placed together - they disappear. Note that two blocks are treated to be places together only if they share one common side.

5. Blocktris - There are no falling pieces in this game, so you can place the piece wherever you want, but you dont have the ability to rotate a piece. All pieces contain from 1 to 4 blocks. If you build line of blocks that goes from one side of the board to another - that line of blocks disappear.

6. Mosaic - In this game there are no falling pieces either, you cannot rotate a piece, you cant even switch blocks positions within a piece, but you can place a piece wherever you want. In order to clear some space on the board you have to place blocks with the same color close to each other, and when three or more blocks come together - they disappear just like in Columns game.

All of the games mentioned above are available on three different grids - rectangular, hexagonal and triangular grids. Every grid brings some special tricks and different strategies of playing, so the same game on different grids appears to be a set of three completely different games.

Triptych is a fast-paced physics based block dropping game that will keep you coming back for more. Maneuver and rotate blocks as they fall so that 3 or more of a color are adjacent to each other.
By achieving this, the blocks will be destroyed and the player will collect points. As blocks are destroyed, connected blocks are freed to move independently and blocks above will fall to fill the empty spaces. This game combines arcade elements with a bit of strategy.
There are nine rather different games packed into it, and three skill levels for each one.

Installation

Mysterious Palantir runs on all major Linux flavors (RedHat, Debian, Mandrake,
SuSE, Slackware and others). It is distributed as a gzipped tar archive
bshooter.tgz To install and run this game on your Linux system, please do
the following:

1) copy the file to a directory of your choice

2) unpack the archive:

tar xzvf palantir.tgz

3) go into Palantir directory and run the game:

cd Palantir;

palantir

The trial copy of the program will expire in 14 days. You can obtain a
registration key any time during or after the trial period.

Game Rules

Look at the board - there are some spheres in the middle of its sides. Just click on one of them and it becomes active. The sphere will fly in the direction you point. Inside a small hexagon in the middle of the board you can see some other spheres - they show the color of the next ones, so you may develop your own game strategy. The numbers in a light

blue hexagon at the right of the board indicate the number of unsuccessful attempts left till the end of the game round.

You will get some points if the sphere you have shot joins a group of spheres of the same color and they disappear. You will get ten times more points for every sphere that fell apart if they werent connected to the center of the board. If you havent removed any sphere by your shot - the number of attempts decreases and when it equals to zero new lines will appear from the center of the board and a new game round will begin. New lines will appear if the sphere you have shot hits the sides of the board it has come from and disappears. But in this case you wont lose your attempts.

You may choose between nine different games available (click on the `Pick game button). First six games are single player games and the last three are multiplayer ones.

In the single player game your goal is to remove all the spheres off the board. You will have twice more points if you manage to kick off all the spheres of the same color. On the other hand the number of lines that appear at the end of every game round increases too.

In multiplayer games you should achieve different goals. The board is divided into two parts here. One half of which belongs to you and another - to your opponent. Your goal is to remove all the spheres from your half of the board and those common for both players lying on the line dividing the board. You should also fill the opponents half and make the spheres overflow its borders. Keep in mind that the player on whose part of the board the spheres have been removed will get points.

Try to clear your half of the board and your score will be doubled and the game will be over. In case the spheres overflow the board the game is over too. You will lose all your points and lose the game if spheres overflow the board on your half. Another player must follow the same rules. At the beginning of every game you can choose players - either

human or computer ones. You will watch the game in Demo Mode if you choose both players as computer players.
