AudioTT 1.4.2

AudioTT 1.4.2

AudioTT is ID3 tag editor, which is FREE to use. more>>
AudioTT is ID3 tag editor, which is FREE to use.
AudioTT supports both ID3 tags (ID3v1 and ID3v2). Editing ID3 tags by this application is very easy and saves your time, beacause it allows you to edit a heap of MP3 files at once.
This function is useful especialy for those who own a big collection of MP3s. Imagine that you have a discography of the QUEEN - it means hundreds of MP3 files. It would be silly to edit ID3 tag of each file separately. Therefore you may load the whole dicography to AudioTT, then write QUEEN to the Band item of ID3 tag and press Save/F12.
If you do so, AudioTT will write QUEEN as a Band to all files of your discography. In exactly the same way you may edit all the items of ID3 tag (Year, Album, Pictures, Official web site of the band/artist...).
AudioTT contains a panel, which shows the detailed information of MP3 files. It contains also another panel, which dynamicaly creates statistic for all your MP3s, which are in that moment loaded into AudioTT (Total time, Average time, Average bitrate, Average sampling rate...). If you are not interested in these information, you may simply hide the panels...
Pictures of jpeg, gif and other types represents a form of binary data similar to audio, video or text data. ID3 tag version 2 (ID3v2) has been proposed so it can contain any type of data. Therefore the new version of AudioTT is now able to handle pictures data. It means that AudioTT is now able to store any count of pictures into ID3 tag. Moreover you can specify a picture by selecting a type (Front cover, Band logotype, ...) and inserting an arbitrary comment.
This all is possible to do with a new tool - Pictures manager. It allows you also to export all images to external files (jpeg, png, gif), remove all images from MP3... This all can be done at one mose click! However, dont forget that adding too many images into ID3 tags might rapidly increase size of your MP3 files!
Main features:
- support of MP3 file format
- support of ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags
- support of 39 items of ID3 tag version 2
- full support of "Pictures", "Comments" ...
- ability to read, edit and save hundreds ID3 tags at once
- comprehensive MP3 details panel
- dynamic creation of MP3s statistic
- multilingual
- multi/cross platform

Wefis 1.4.2

Wefis 1.4.2

Wefis is a tool designed to manage files on a web-server: more>>
Wefis is a tool designed to manage files on a web-server: Wefis project works in a way similar to FTP, except that it is entriely hosted by the server. With WEFIS you can create, delete, modify, rename, copy, etc any file or folder in your section of the site (depending on WEFIS configuration), allowing the user complete freedom of operation...

WEFIS, contrary to most other (free) web-file-systems, is based on AJAX technology. What is AJAX you ask? AXAJ is the fancy anacronym given to the special javascript technique that fetches the minimum amount of information from the server without having to reload the entire page, similar to the technology which GMAIL uses. The result for the end user is that everything is faster, since much less information needs to be transferred every time, and so the whole system is pretty fast, even if the server happens to be slow,...

From the administration point of view, WEFIS bases its whole security on PRASI, a flexible user management system also developed by us. The use of this system makes site-wide authentication with only one password a reality, thanks to an extremely simple API which can be integrated into any perl module... PRASI is ideally suited for small to medium systems (in terms of the number of users), although it can be used for larger systems with slightly more hassle (setting up users is easy, but modifying services may take more time)...

WEFIS is, therefore, your best dream come true. Written entirely in perl, it is designed for unix/linux systems, although porting it to windows should not be too hard (but is not yet done. If you want to do this, contact us!). Vs. 1.0.1, currently the latest version, is the first to be publically released. It has undergone many months of hard work and beta testing internally on our servers, and we believe most of the bugs to have been ironed out... There are, however, a few known issues which you may find in the bugtracker. These, however, do not influence your usage experience, except under certain very specific and unlikely circumstances. Supported browsers: mainly IE and FIREFOX and NETSCAPE (to be confirmed), but other mozilla compliant browsers should work...

ncp 1.4.2

ncp 1.4.2

ncp is a utility for copying files in a LAN. more>>
"ncp" is a utility for copying files in a LAN. It has absolutely no security or integrity checking, no throttling, no features, except one: you dont have to type the coordinates of your peer.
npush will now use IPv6 and IPv4 multicast on the multicast groups ff02::6e63:7030 (6e63:7030 == ncp0) and 224.110.99.112 (110.99.112 == ncp). If both methods fail, npush will resort to the broadcast packets used by previous versions. You can force the broadcast method by passing "-b" to npush so that previous npoll versions can see the announcements.
NCP Basically it works like this:
1. You and your buddy want to play Quake
2. Your buddy has a level that you dont have
3. He types npush filename and waits. npush sends out UDP announcement packets proclaiming that someone wants to send something
4. You type npoll. npoll waits until it sees one of these packets
5. The files are copied with tar over a TCP socket, so permissions and file dates (and if you are root, owners) are preserved.

Mail2sh is a tool for send shell command by email with a simple module and to avoid you to know how procmail and sendmail works. Mail2sh makes it possible to carry out shell commands by email. Email is sent to a particular user on your host and the commands will be carried out if the user and password given matches ones in /etc/passwd. Commands are executed with the users privileges, and combined with a PGP module ensures a certain level of security for use. Note that the system is not natively encrypted, so use of an encryption mechanism is very recommended for security reasons.

KProf 1.4.2

KProf 1.4.2

KProf is a visual tool for developers, which displays the execution profiling output generated by code profilers. more>>
KProf is a visual tool for developers, which displays the execution profiling output generated by code profilers.
The output of profilers being usually difficult to read (beyond the flat profile information), KProf presents the information in list- or tree-views that make the information very easy to understand.
Main features:
- Flat profile view displays all function / methods and their profiling information.
- Hierarchical profile view displays a tree for each function / method with the other functions / methods it calls as subelements.
- Object profile view, for C++ developers, groups the methods in a tree view by object name.
- Graph view is a graphical representation of the call-tree, requires GraphViz to work.
- Method view is a more detailed look at an individual method - cross referenced.
- Recursive functions carry a special icon to clearly show that they are recursive.
- Right-clicking a function or method displays a pop-up with the list of callers and called functions. You can directly go to one of these functions by selecting it in the pop-up menu.
- The flat profile view provides an additional filter edit box to filter the display and show only the functions or methods containing the text that you enter.
- Function parameters hiding if the function name is unique (i.e. no different signatures)
- C++ template abbreviation (template parameters can be hidden)
- Automatic generation of call-graph data for GraphViz and VCG, two popular graph image generators.
- Diff mode support to compare two profile results.

p2pshaper 1.4.2

p2pshaper 1.4.2

p2pshaper is a Linux QoS script to ensure good latency and fairness on a slow network connection overloaded by p2p applications. more>>
p2pshaper is a Linux QoS script to ensure good latency and fairness on a slow network connection overloaded by p2p applications. It also includes generic optimizations to improve fairness. This release includes a large number of improvements since the 1.3 test release.
In short p2pshaper is a set of scripts for the Linux OS, that is used to administer bandwidth on a network overloaded by massive p2p traffic.
Normally, the amount of peer-to-peer traffic on such networks, will make it impossible to surf, not to mention doing interactive traffic (ssh). The normal action is to shut down p2p traffic totally, and set up the net, so that Internet connection is only possible through a proxy. This breaks many useful programs. And not all p2p traffic is evil. Normally, one would mark packets coming to a specific port (emule ports) to be of a lower priority than packets to other ports. This used to be a good solution. But now, there exist a huge number of p2p clients, eact with different port ranges, and also, some programs are able to change the ports. Normally the Internet newsgroup port should have a high priority. But binary newsgroups are sometimes used for massive downloads, which will use up all bandwidth. Better packet markers are needed.
p2pshaper currently exists in two versions p2pshaper v1 and p2pshaper v2. They both works in different ways, so v2 is not "better" than v1. Which one you use depends on what kind of functonality you want.
Enhancements:
- Added unified patches against recent kernels With the amount of patches p2pshaper needs, people have had problems patching kernels. To make this easier, p2pshaper now includes patches for most recent kernels. This will probably ease the installation of
- p2pshaper. Old patches have been moved to the old/ directory.
- Normal connections will never get into the lowest priority bandIntroduced already in the 1.4.1 release. This makes sure that normal traffic isnt nuked all the way into oblivion, where only evil traffic (marked by l7_filter, ipp2p or band8ports) should be.

inetutils 1.4.2

inetutils 1.4.2

InetUtils is a collection of common network programs. more>>
InetUtils is a collection of common network programs. The GNU whois client reads a whois-servers file to figure out which whois server to use. It wont always pick the best server; whois.internic.net seems to know something about nic.ddn.mil, but the GNU whois client will use nic.ddn.mil to look up nic.ddn.mil if you use the configuration file we supply. Our configuration file probably also does not have a complete list of whois servers; feel free to send information about additional whois servers to our developers.
There are probably many BSD dependencies remaining, but inetutils is believed
to work on the following system types (and others may work):
i486-gnu0.2
i486-pc-linux-gnu
m68k-hp-netbsd1.2
sparc-sun-netbsd1.2
sparc-sun-sunos4.1.4
sparc-sun-solaris2.5
The file `paths contains a list of all paths used by programs in this distribution, and rules to find values for them. To change a path PATH_FOO, you may either tell configure, by using `--with-path-foo=VALUE (where VALUE may contain references to make variables such as `$(bindir)), or edit the `paths file.
If you wish to build only the clients or only the servers, you may wish to use the --disable-servers or --disable-clients options when invoking `configure. You can also use --enable- or --disable- to control whether to build individual programs; if you explicitly specify whether to build a program, that will override the values specified by --disable-clients or --disable-servers.
Notes:
1) all the manpages will be installed, regardless of which programs are built. The whois server list will also be installed. You can use `make install-exec instead of `make install if you do not want to install these files.
2) All of the r* commands clients, rcp, rlogin, rsh, need to be install setuid root to work correctly they use priviledge ports for communication.
Some known deficiencies:
o Many programs do not support long options, such as --version or --help.
o The authentication and encryption options have not been tested.
Enhancements:
- configure.ac: Bump version to 1.4.2
- NEWS: Update for inetutils 1.4.2
