Free xrtti 0.3 software for linux

RetrospeKt is my attempt to make working with backups easier and more intuitive. The project is inspired by Apples "Time machine" backup system and is based on rsnapshot backup script. With Retrospect you can easily browse your folders (in konqueror) as they were at any previous backup point. A simple konqueror service menu entries are also provided for:
- restoring files from backups
- comparing any two versions of a text file with the excellent Kompare (see exactly what you changed and possibly un-apply those changes)
- browsing all the versions of the selected file
- finding all the deleted files in the current directory
- listing all the changes made on the selected file/directory
NOTE: You have to have a working rsnapshot for this script to work.
Enhancements:
- name changed to RetrospeKt because, apparently, there already is a Retrospect backup software for MacOSX
- Cosmetic changes in the Journal

Charlix is a desktop assistant that is based on AIML (Artificial Intelligence Markup Language) and is compatible with any AIML interpreter with a working tag. Charlix assistent provides Web searching tools, a dictionary, a calculator, weather, translations, and more.
If you ask Charlix his MENU, he will answer:
- Enter GAMES to look for games,
- INTERNET MENU will show you internet search options,
- DICTIONARY (ANY WORD) : will show the definition of any word.
- ask CALCULATOR, or I can CALC or CALCULATE (YOUR CALCULUS)
- PREFERENCES will help you to configure the default application to use,
- say BAD ANSWER whenever you want to teach me a better answer,
- and FEATURE REQUEST to request what is to improve,
- and BUG to report a bug,
- of course ask anything or any applications, I might be able to help,

wmseti is a dockapp for monitoring and the control of upto 10 SETI@home processes. wmseti can display various statistics and can pause/continue or kill/run the program.
It can be compiled with or without graphics showing alien faces coming out of the shadows as the workunit progresses, with a progress bar that is green for running, yellow for paused, and red when not running.
Statistics for display are;
- [WMSETI..X] Title and current SETI directory where X=AB...
- [12.34%..X] Progress as percentage where X is program status
- [01:23:45.] Time spent on workunit
- [01:23:45.] Time left before completion of workunit
- [TX:...123] Number of workunits sent
- [RX:...123] Number of workunits received (no longer updated, defunct)
- [PID:.1234] PID of SETI@Home client
- [=====----] Progess as a graphic bar
- [PT:.12/34] Total CPU time contributed to SETI@home as years/days or days/hours
Controls available;
- A left click changes between SETI@home directories
- A middle click runs or kills the SETI@home client
- A right click pauses or continues the SETI@home client
- A left click on the top-left quarter changes to/from info text and alien (if compiled)
- A left click on the bottom-left quarter of alien sets the progress bar on or off (if compiled)
- A mouse wheel up or down changes to the next or previous directory.

Guten is a tool for browsing, retrieving, reading, and managing electronic books published by Project Gutenberg. It provides an interface for reading books that allows bookmarks to be added to text.

Books can be imported from files that have already been downloaded, or through a simple interface that browses and downloads files from a PG mirror.

A Python module that automates the retrieval of catalogues and books from a PG mirror is also provided.

KBiof project is an OpenGL screensaver for KDE.
This is a KDE port, rewrite & rearrangement of original BIOF XScreenSaver. This is an OPENGL screensaver. It depends by libGL & libGLU libraries. These libraries are normally installed into all linux distros.
Please note that the performance of the OpenGL screensavers depends by your graphic card power and its correct installation (please configure the right Xorg driver for your card).
Available for download: sources and precompiled binaries package for Felinux distro (also Slackware 11).
Installation:
open konsole
type "su" and type your root password
type "installpkg kbiof-0.1-i486-1.tgz"
All done.
KBiof screen saver is now accessible by open Desktop configuration -> ScreenSavers -> OpenGL Note: this package is also compatible with Slackware Linux 11.
Compiling KBiof sources:
KBiof sources, provided here must be compiled to works on your system. Please, start with archive decompression, then open konsole and go into the directory. Here type:
./configure
make
make install (as root)
All done.
KBiof screen saver is now accessible by open Desktop configuration -> ScreenSavers -> OpenGL
Enhancements:
- now it is possible to change the rendering color of Triangles, Spheres and BigSpheres object.

Xapwrap provides an improved interface to the Xapian text indexing library (see Xapian for more information).
Xapwrap provides a layered approach offering ample opportunities for customization.

Enhancements:
- This release was updated to fix bugs when used against the latest version of Xapian, 0.9.2.

kwmnet project is the fork of famous wmnet WindowMaker applet.

KDE system monitor + sysguard is not the thing I want to see on my desktop. Too slow, wants ksysguardd etc.

So, here is initial alpha release of kwmnet.

This is simple applet that show nice fast moving network device monitor in your kicker panel.

I just get wmnet sources, take off all X Window initialization stuff and use wmnet as library for drawing in window of simple KDE panel applet. Also, I rewrite code for /proc/net/dev driver to correctly read /proc/net/dev entries.

Before compiling edit string 44 in file src/kwmnet.cpp to set your device, speed and other settings. All settings are same as in good old wmnet.

Its stable and fast right now, but needs GUI configurator.

Compile:

./configure --libdir=/your/kde/applets/dir
make
make install

Then add "wmnet" applet to panel.

Hacking:

If you change something, recompile and reinstall applet, open console and just kill and start "kicker" application - kicker will start with new version of applet, and you will see your changes.
