XMMSMG is a XMMS based player that removes the graphical user interface code. It allows one to use remote players like the gnome xmms applet without bringing up another window. Others are using it as a base for their own standalone mp3 players.
To install you have to be root and to follow these steps:
Create .xmmsmg and .xmmsmg/Plugins directories in your home directory.
Run make as yourself.
Run install as root.
This new release (xmmsmg-1.9.2) has the first implementation of Interface Plugins.

- Created stubs for InterfacePlugin
- Removed console interface from xmms main
- Created simple console interface as a plugin

cutmp3 is a small and fast command line MP3 editor. more>>
cutmp3 is a small and fast command line MP3 editor. cutmp3 lets you select sections of an MP3 interactively or via a timetable and save them to separate files without quality loss.
It uses mpg123 for playback and works with VBR files and even with files bigger than 2GB.
Other features are configurable silence seeking and ID3 tag seeking, which are useful for concatenated mp3s.
Playback is realized via mpg123, so be sure to have it installed or at least have a symlink to your favorite mp3 playing program.
I recommend a symlink to mpg321 which works better!
You can mark beginning and end of a segment with a and b and save the segment with s.
Using a timetable or direct times with VBR files delivers exact(!) results at the cost of slightly lower speed. cutmp3 even works with files bigger than 2 GB!
If you want a working graphical software you can try mp3directcut,
which runs fairly well in WINE after I asked the author about a WINEd version.
Installation:

Xfprot project is a graphical frontend to the F-Prot Antivirus for Linux Small Business Edition 3.12b/c/d, 3.13, 4.1.0, 4.2.0, 4.3.0 and 4.3.1 by Frisk Software International (www.frisk.is) which is free of charge for personal use.
Xfprot up to and including version 0.19beta was based upon the XSTEP-3.5.1 library 1996-2001 by Marcelo Samsoniuk and collaborators and released under the LGPL license.
Starting from version 0.20beta XFPROT is based upon Gtk+ 1.2 libraries. From version 1.0-rc2 it is also possible to use the Gtk+ 2.2 libraries.

Open Flash Chart software creates Flash-based charts for Web pages.
How does it work?
1. User browses to your web site.
2. The browser downloads the web page which contains the Open Flash Chart.
3. Open Flash Chart downloads the data file and displays the chart.
When you add Open Flash Chart to your web page, you tell it where to find the data file.
Why is that great?
When the user downloads the web page, Open Flash Chart requests the chart data from the server. The server knows who the user is so it can generate a chart for that particular user showing up to the minute data.
Is it complicated to set up?
You will need to include the Open Flash Chart in your HTML, and you also need to provide the data file on the server. The data file is either a text file, or a .php (or another flavour of dynamic) page.
For a simple chart you would just drop the data.txt file on your website and point the Open Flash Chart to this URL.
But what we really want is dynamic data that is pulled from a database or calculated or something. To do this you need to create the data file when it is requested. To do this we point the Open Flash Chart to a .php page and this PHP page does your calculations and/or database lookups, then outputs the data file.
To make this a bit easier I have written a PHP class to write the data file for you.

Python Stencil Environment also know as PySE is a new python library for solving Partial Differential Equations with the Finite Difference Method (FDM).
This is still a quite new library, and the current release must be considered as beta software. It is quite rough around the edges, installation is manual and some minor dependencies are even missing in the released software. But as PySE already is functional, I have chosen to release the software.
PySE will be a component of PyFDM, a more complete package for working with finite difference methods in python. The functionality of PyFDM is not planned at the moment.
The requirements for PySE are: Python 2.4, numarray 1.3 or newer, Numeric 23.8 or newer, swig 1.3.24 or newer, and pypar 1.9.2. Older verions may or may not work!
Enhancements:
- Added a pdf with some documentation, examples and performance evaluation of PySE.
