XML::XMetaL 0.52

XML::XMetaL 0.52

XML::XMetaL is a Perl module with dispatch class for XML::XMetaL development framework. more>>
XML::XMetaL is a Perl module with dispatch class for XML::XMetaL development framework.

The XML::XMetaL class is a dispatcher for XMetaL customization handlers. XML:XMetaL objects are singletons. There can be only one XML::XMetaL object instantiated at any one time.

If an XML::XMetaL object already exists, the constructor (new) will just return the already existing object.

Customization handlers are registered and associated with a system identifier with the add_handler method.

When a method is called on a dispatcher (XML::XMetaL object), the dispatcher figures out which handler that should handle the call, and forwards the method call to the handler.

For example, calling On_Document_Save on the dispatcher, will make the dispatcher call the On_Document_Save method for the handler associated with the system identifier of the currently active document.

When the dispatcher calls a handler, the call is wrapped in an eval block. If an exception is thrown by the handler, it will be caught by the dispatcher and the error message will be shown in an XMetaL Alert box.

CTB is a personal/small business Web-based accounting system. CTB project is based on free and portable technologies like Apache, PHP, Python and MySQL.
NOTE: The system was initially made in Brazilian Portuguese (including source code comments etc. and it has just been translated.
So, there should be some translation typos, since I am not a native English speaker. Reports and/or patches are welcome.
This is free software in the terms of the LGPL license. Software is offered "as is", with no guarantees, as usual.
Enhancements:
- Some accounting terms incorrectly translated from Portuguese to English were fixed.

tact 0.52

tact 0.52

tact is a 2D/3D console tic-tac-toe program. more>>
tact project is a 2D/3D console tic-tac-toe program.
tact is a curses-based tic-tac-toe program that supports arbitrary sized 2D and 3D versions of tic-tac-toe, network play, and several computer players of varying intelligence, all of which can play either you, or each other, on any board size.
The most intelligent computer player can play perfectly (in real time) on all 2D boards, and all 3D boards except 4x4x4.
Main features:
- Curses interface (if you have ncurses you can use the mouse - welcome to the seventies!). There are options for changing the colors of the board, background, and pieces.
- If you dont have curses, or have curses and dont want to use it, there is also an ASCII interface (useful for larger board sizes or redirecting computer vs. computer games to a file). Also, if youre using a crappy terminal there is a chance the ASCII interface actually looks better than the curses one.
- Both the curses and ASCII use the same menu system, where you can configure most options for the game. All options may be configured using command line arguments (see the man page).
- Network play
- Arbitrary sized boards, both 2D and 3D
- Five types of players (all of which may play each other in any combination on all board sizes and dimensions)
- Human
- Network
- Computer Heurstic (three modes: easy, medium, hard, all of which are beatable).
- Computer Search, using standard alpha-beta algorithm. Depending on how far ahead you tell it to search, this player can play perfectly on all sized boards. For all board sizes and dimensions except 4x4x4, a search depth of 2 is all that is necessary to ensure perfect play. tact cannot play perfectly on 4x4x4 unless a very large search depth is used (probably on the order of a month!). This player also makes use of transposition tables (it caches various states so when they are again encountered it does not need to search again). On my computer, tact can play 10,000 perfect games of 3x3 (searching all the way to the bottom) in about 2 seconds, without the transposition tables, this takes about 32 seconds).
- Random (useful for benchmarking heurstic players).
Enhancements:
- Now compiles with GCC 3.x (2.x was more forgiving)
- Minor I/O (both curses and ASCII mode) fixes

Smurf 0.52.6

Smurf 0.52.6

The Smurf Sound Font Editor is a sound font editor for Linux and other *nix like operating systems. more>>
The Smurf Sound Font Editor is a sound font editor for Linux and other *nix like operating systems.
Soundfont is considered a standard for creating instruments (also called patches) for use in composing MIDI music. This standard utilizes digital audio "samples" (recorded or generated sounds) with effects and other parameters which can be stored in files for distribution. Creating instrument sounds from audio samples, often referred to as wavetable synthesis, provides a flexible environment that can be supported in hardware (sound cards, studio equipment, etc) or software.
Navigating this project: This web site and all other Smurf project services, are hosted on SourceForge. The links under the SourceForge heading will take you to the various services provided by the SourceForge system. Project Central is the SourceForge project summary page.
Enhancements:
- Fixed sequencer support for newest ALSA CVS (ALSA 0.9.0 versions less than 0.9.0beta6 are no longer supported)
- Added command line sound font file open feature as per user request
- Fixed AWE wavetable driver blank device file name bug

DXX-Rebirth 0.52

DXX-Rebirth 0.52

DXX-Rebirth is the Remake of the two DESCENT ports D1X and D2X. more>>
DXX-Rebirth is the Remake of the two DESCENT ports D1X and D2X.
This version of D1X is based on PLDs RPM release of d1x-1.43. Since this version is based on the original source code of 1999 it is hard to get it working on newer distributions.
My only goal is it to bring D1X back on Linux in a small package with an user-friendly installer that provides everything, that let the game run on every Linux box out there.
Linux is being developed day for day and every software must be prepared to be compatible with this daily updates. Unfortunately D1X isnt getting developed any more and its possible, that it wont run on distributions that will come in some years.
Your see in fact I have not debugged the source and/or compiled this binaries itself. Im just the guy who searched the best working binaries, packed them together with needed libraries and stuff, searched and solved some annoying bugs, wrote a small installer and this readme.
Since i cant compile the source any more i just can try to keep all files that are necessary for this game to live on. But this is a situation we will encounter in some years and now Im proud to present you the first distribution-independent installer for D1X!
I hope youll have fun with the installer and with the game of course, too. If you have something to say about my release, feel free to contact me.
Main features:
- Provide simple and easy to handle installer packages to let the ports run on every Linux distribution out there.
- Maintain the ports as good as possible to ensure their continuity.
- Arouse the interest and orm a new community to help to improve D1X and D2X to make them better as they already are and let them live on. Everyone - especially with coder skills - is welcome to help.

XML::Filter::Dispatcher 0.52

XML::Filter::Dispatcher 0.52

XML::Filter::Dispatcher is a path based event dispatching with DOM support. more>>
XML::Filter::Dispatcher is a path based event dispatching with DOM support.

SYNOPSIS

use XML::Filter::Dispatcher qw( :all );

my $f = XML::Filter::Dispatcher->new(
Rules => [
foo => &handle_foo_start_tag,
@bar => &handle_bar_attr,

## Send any elts and their contents to $handler
snarf//self::node() => $handler,

## Print the text of all elements
description
=> [ string() => sub { push @out, xvalue } ],
],

Vars => {
"id" => [ string => "12a" ],
},
);

WARNING: Beta code alert.

A SAX2 filter that dispatches SAX events based on "EventPath" patterns as the SAX events arrive. The SAX events are not buffered or converted to an in-memory document representation like a DOM tree. This provides for low lag operation because the actions associated with each pattern are executed as soon as possible, usually in an elements start_element() event method.

This differs from traditional XML pattern matching tools like XPath and XSLT (which is XPath-based) which require the entire document to be built in memory (as a "DOM tree") before queries can be executed. In SAX terms, this means that they have to build a DOM tree from SAX events and delay pattern matching until the end_document() event method is called.

XML::XSLT::Wrapper 0.32

XML::XSLT::Wrapper 0.32

XML::XSLT::Wrapper is a consistent interface to XSLT processors. more>>
XML::XSLT::Wrapper is a consistent interface to XSLT processors.

SYNOPSIS

use XML::XSLT::Wrapper;
my $xslt = XML::XSLT::Wrapper->new(
ProcessorList => [libxslt, sablotron],
)

$result = $xslt->transform(
XMLFile => $xml_filename
XSLFile => $xsl_filename
#OR: XMLString => $xml_string
#OR: XSLString => $xsl_string
#OR: xml => $xml_filename_or_string,
#OR: xsl => $xsl_filename_or_string,
XSLParams => { COMEIN => knock knock,
GOAWAY => conk conk },
);

$result = $xslt->transform(
OutFile => $output_filename,
XMLFile => $xml_filename
XSLFile => $xsl_filename
XSLParams => [ COMEIN, knock knock,
GOAWAY, conk conk ],
);

# NB: The pre_parsing interface is likely to change:
%pre_parsed = $xslt->pre_parse(
XSLFile => $xsl_filename
);
$pre_parsed{$processor}{xsl} = $parsed_xsl;

foreach (@xml_files) {
$result = $xslt->transform(
XSLParsed = $parsed_xsl;
OutFile => $output_filename,
XMLFile => $_,
XSLParams => [ COMEIN, knock knock,
GOAWAY, conk conk ],
);
}
See also examples/*.pl, t/*.t and Driver/*.pm in the distribution directory.

Provides a consistent interface to various XSLT processors. Tries each of a supplied list of processors in turn until one performs a successful transform. If no list is given, tries all the processors it knows until one works. Does its best to fail gracefully whenever a processor does not work for some reason.
Can return the result of the transform as a string, or write it to a specified file.
For those processors which can accept parameters to an XSLT stylesheet, XML::XSLT::Wrapper can accept these as hash of name-value pairs, or as an array of [name, value, name, value, ...]

On completion, returns: - if it has written an output file - the result string if it has succeeded but not written an output file - undef if it has failed

Currently knows how to use XML::LibXSLT, XML::Xalan, XML::Sablotron, XML::XSLT as well as the Java processors XT and Saxon. You need to set your CLASSPATH environment variable first for the Java processors, or pass it to the transform in a JavaClassPath hash element. In a future version, there will be a parameter to turn off support for the Java processors. The XML::Sablotron Ive tested with is 0.52.

gnormalize 0.52

gnormalize 0.52

gnormalize is an audio converter, a front end to normalize, an encoder/decoder, a ripper, a tag editor and a cd player. more>>
gnormalize is an audio converter, a front end to normalize, an encoder/decoder, a ripper, a metadata (tag) editor and a cd player. gnormalize uses gtk2-perl under GNU/Linux.
gnormalize decodes the MP3/MP4/MPC/OGG/APE/FLAC file to WAV, then normalizes the WAV to a targeted volume level and re-encodes it. Moreover, gnormalize can extract Audio CD track and output as various popular audio formats (MP3, MP4, MPC, OGG, APE, FLAC, WAV) with fast speed and high quality. gnormalize can also convert audio format between MP3, MP4, MPC, OGG, APE and FLAC with high fidelity, which meets your need to play and collect audio files. It can change the encoding and Metadata (tag) properties of final normalized files.
gnormalize can be used to adjust the volume of audio files to a standard volume level, where different recording levels on different albums can cause the volume to vary greatly from song to song.
gnormalize is an alternative for replaygain, because "there is no consistent standard by which to define the appropriate replay gain which mp3 encoders and players agree on, and no automatic way to set the volume adjustment for each track".
Main features:
- Convert from/to MP3, MP4, MPC, OGG, APE, FLAC and WAV;
- Support for LAME, FAAC, OGGENC, MPPENC, FLAC and MAC encoders;
- Support for LAME, FAAD, OGGDEC, MPPDEC, FLAC and MAC decoders;
- Rip audio CDs utilizing cdparanoia or cdda2wav;
- Play audio CDs utilizing cdcd or Audio::CD or cdplay;
- Support normalization with adjustable sensibility;
- Can normalize/convert files recursively into the directory;
- Edit and get MetaData like artist, title, album, ... ;
- Get MetaInfo like bitrate, time, frequency, ... ;
- Includes mppenc, mppdec;
- Read the CDDB entry for an audio CD with CDDB_get;
- Translation to English and Portuguese (Brasil).

Convert::UU 0.52

Convert::UU 0.52

Convert::UU, uuencode, uudecode is a Perl module for uuencode and uudecode. more>>
Convert::UU is a Perl module for uuencode and uudecode.

SYNOPSIS

use Convert::UU qw(uudecode uuencode);
$encoded_string = uuencode($string,[$filename],[$mode]);
($string,$filename,$mode) = uudecode($string);
$string = uudecode($string); # in scalar context

uuencode() takes as the first argument a string that is to be uuencoded. Note, that it is the string that is encoded, not a filename. Alternatively a filehandle may be passed that must be opened for reading. It returns the uuencoded string including begin and end. Second and third argument are optional and specify filename and mode. If unspecified these default to "uuencode.uu" and 644.

uudecode() takes a string as argument which will be uudecoded. If the argument is a filehandle this handle will be read instead. If it is a reference to an ARRAY, the elements are treated like lines that form a string. Leading and trailing garbage will be ignored. The function returns the uudecoded string for the first begin/end pair. In array context it returns an array whose first element is the uudecoded string, the second is the filename and the third is the mode.
