XML::Output is a Perl module for writing simple XML document. The following methods are provided.

new
$xo = new XML::Output;
Constructs a new XML::Output object.

open
$xo->open(tagname, {attrname => attrval});
Open an element with specified name (and optional attributes)

close
$xo->close;
Close an element

empty
$xo->empty(tagname, {attrname => attrval});
Insert an empty element with specified name (and optional attributes)

pcdata

XML Extractor is a set of tools for transforming XML-like markup into entities or well-formed XML files.

The sourcecode XML metadata extraction tools are intended to be used for extracting and transforming XML-like markup embedded in source code comments into syntactically correct external entities or well-formed XML files.

This can be used for JavaDoc-like code annotation, providing structured comments, or even embedding metadata used by the build process or configuration management tools.

XML::Filter::Sort is a SAX filter for sorting elements in XML.

This module is a SAX filter for sorting records in XML documents (including documents larger than available memory). The xmlsort utility which is included with this distribution can be used to sort an XML file from the command line without writing Perl code (see perldoc xmlsort).

The primary use of this module by its author was to manage the Better SCM comparison of version control systems.

The Perl versions can generate either HTML or DocBook/XML. (the latter can be converted into many other formats). Also available is an XSLT stylesheet for transforming the XML markup into HTML.

XML::Generator is a Perl extension for generating XML.

In general, once you have an XML::Generator object, you then simply call methods on that object named for each XML tag you wish to generate.

By default, use XML::Generator; tries to export an AUTOLOAD subroutine to your package, which allows you to simply call any undefined methods in your current package to get pieces of XML. If you already have an AUTOLOAD defined then XML::Generator will not override it unless you tell it to. See "STACKABLE AUTOLOADs".

XML::Conf is a simple configuration module based on XML.

XML::DOM::Lite::XPath is a Perl module for XPath support for XML::DOM::Lite.

This XPath library is fairly complete - there are still a few functions outstanding which need to be implemented, but its already very usable and is being used by XML::DOM::Lite::XSLT

XPontus is a free java based XML editor designed towards text editing. XPontus XML Editor aims to provide a free alternative to commercial XML Editors.

As XPontus is written in Java it is available for all java enabled operating systems. It has been reported to run correctly on Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, Solaris and FreeBSD. There are many installers for platform convenience.

The software is distributed under the GNU GPL License.
