This project comprises a library for developing thin client application frontends using a browser. It helps developers creating (neat) application interfaces (GUI) for inter/intra- and extranet applications.

A note to Konqueror / Safari users: We do respect the work of the Open Source community, especially the K-Teams. However we did not have the time to dig too much into why Konqueror does not work as the others. But because Mozilla 1.x does work and comes with most Linux boxes, we focused on development of the supported browsers, rather than finding the key issues of this problem.
A note to Opera fans: Unfortunately the css and javascript support of all current versions does not allow many operations we do need (like dynamic clipping etc.) We did hope that the upcoming Opera 7.x version can be included as well. But so it is not the case.
Despite the success of NS 4.x it is clearly in excess of age. Therefore we are sorry to inform that NS 4.x or any prior versions of above mentioned browser cannot be used. In addition, the javascript engine of NS7.x seems to be very slow when moving or resizing desktop windows.

NetMAX Desktop is a live-CD distribution of Linux upon which NetMAX Server products are based. It includes best of breed applications: Secure Linux (kernel 2.6.11.5), OpenOffice.org, Blender, GAIM, Gnome 2.8, Dia, gtkam, Azureus bittorrent client, Firefox 1.0, Thunderbird 1.0, Totem multimedia player, XINE multimedia player, Wine compatibility layer, hotplug hardware detection and OpenVPN SSL VPN.
This distribution seeks to fill the role of a fully-functional enterprise class desktop system without licensing fees. NicE Desktop is a Debian-based, live Linux distribution. Being a live distribution, it runs from portable storage, such as a CD/DVD or USB flash drive. This operating system can be run in both text mode and graphical mode.

NicE Desktop comes with many programs for both recreational and administrative purposes. Its main goals are to be useful and entertaining while maintaining user-friendliness, as well as to provide a "complete" temporary operating system for any PC user.

Syntax Desktop is a publishing system used to manage the contents of a Web site. Syntax Desktop project has an attractive GUI with DHTML elements.

You can use it to insert news, photos, documents, and tree data structures into your site. It features easy DB backup and style switching.

Syntax Desktop helps you to create and manage large web sites without any knowledge of HTML. Theres an integrated WYSIWYG editor with a friendly user interface similar to common office applications. You can create the contents and a template engine manages all the parts of the site allowing complete control of the application.

Syntax Desktop is based on PHP technology. It is a web application, so it works on a wide range of modern existing IT infrastructures. Syntax Desktop runs with other "open source" technologies (i.e. Linux, Apache, MySQL), but it works also on commercial products (i.e. Windows, IIS, Oracle DB, MS Access).

Moreover, a great virtue of Syntax is its predisposition to being indexed from search engines. Syntax is constructed to generate pages optimized for search engines.

Desktop Gmail is a superkaramba theme which uses wget to read the rss feed for your Gmail inbox and displays it on a GUI. It displays upto twenty latest messages(five at a time) as well as the no. of total unread messages.

It shows the name of the author of the mail as well as the subject of the mail. On hovering over the name, a tooltip containing the authors email id is displayed and when hovered over the subject, the summary of the body is shown.

This theme displays upto 20 latest messages from your Gmail inbox(5 at a time), the authors of the message and the no. of unread messages.

On hovering over the name, the email id is displayed and on hovering over subject, a summary of the body is displayed.

Open gmail.py and enter your username and password.(see readme for details).

SaxenOS Desktop Server is as it seems the first working Live CD with a running LTSP Linux Terminal Server. This means you can serve thin client PCs from a live CD.
Usernames and Passwords:
After booting from the live CD you get the login Screen. On the desktop its XDM, on the Desktop Server its GDM. Use the following username/password combinations to login.
Desktop Server:
User: root, Password: root
User: demo, Password: demo
User: demo1, Password: demo1
User: demo2, Password: demo2
After installation please change these passwords!!!
Enhancements:
- The SaxenOS 2 ISO image is now down to a 534 MB and needs about 1.7 GB space on the target partition plus the space for home directories and temporary and log files - so a 2 GB partition is still the minimum. Changes: fixed German installer translations; changed formatting of target partition to ext3; removed win32 Codecs - theyre now a separate installer download (for legal reasons); removed REALbasic - check the installer downloads next week; new SaxenOS System Panel, written in REALbasic.

Kuartet Desktop project aims to create a visually appealing, easy to use desktop built upon KDE.

Kuartet Desktop consists of a library written around Superkaramba that makes it easy to write desktop applets that are integrated within a centralized desktop theme, a set of very usable desktop applets, and graphical configuration tools.

The main desktop applet is the Kuartet Manager, which provides quick access to documents, applications, bookmarks, etc.

Desktop Drapes is a wallpaper manager application for the gnome desktop.

It has features (period) Features like, randomly changing your wallpaper every once in a while, or whenever you fell like it.

It can also automaticaly pickup any wallpapers you added to a directory with the ninja magic of inotify. Desktop Drapes is written using C# (mono) with the help of Gtk#/Gnome#.
