Enhancements:
- A bizarre problem which occurred with certain version combinations of IE and Windows where the textarea wasnt properly hidden was fixed.
- The "Font Size" and "Font Select" buttons were fixed so that they are "unselectable" in IE 6+, so users cant drag and drop them into the editor anymore.
- The WYSIWYG widget should now always update the textarea on the users last command.
- Minor design changes were made to the toolbar so it displays better in various HTML doctypes.
- Undo/redo now works in Internet Explorer.

How the script works
As the admin you can write new articles and list, edit, delete and search in existing ones.
News script features a WYSIWYG editor that gives you full control over the format of an article. JavaScript is required, though. The script allows you to choose an article date and the date when the article is to be published.
The title of an article appears as part of the URL which is good for search engine optimization. In case your server supports mod_rewrite the article URL looks like a normal URL of an HTML page.
On the front end the visitor will be provided with a list of published articles. As admin you can set the number of articles per page which results in several result pages which can be browsed by the visitor.

• • CMSimple is recommended for sites with text contents less than 2 MB - This is about 1000 pages of text (about 2,000 characters per page). There is no maximum size to the site but speed will become an issue. Photographs are stored separately, there is no limit to the number of photographs you can use. You are only restricted by the capacity you have bought from your ISP, and by limitations imposed by your PHP settings.
  • Editing of the files is normaly done on your local machine, using a normal browser (see below). You will also need an FTP program (like WS_FTP or WinSCP) to upload the files to your webserver.

• • CMSimple is written in PHP. Thus, PHP >= 4.0.4 is required on your server. To install PHP on a webserver, you must have administrator rights. Many webhotels offer PHP as part of their standard service.
  • CMSimple runs on a Linux server under Apache, or on Win32 under Apache or IIS. It also runs on Abyss. No database is needed as the entire site contents are stored in a single HTML-file.

Platypus Wiki provides a semantic Wiki Wiki Web.

Platypus Wiki is an enhanced Wiki Wiki Web with ideas taken from Semantic Web. It offers a simple user interface for creating Wiki page plus metadata according to W3C standards.

Weve chosen HTMLarea v3.0rc1 as a WYSIWYG editor for creating content in (X)HTML. We are using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for presentation, and our intention is to be fully compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines v1.0 with Level AAA. Platypus Wiki lets you set "global" and "local" links. A global link is generated on every page: you just have to specify a word or phrase and the corresponding URL. A local link is similar, but only appears on a specified page.

Another difference from the classical Wiki is the way links are specified in a page: instead of CamelWords, square brackets, etc., we use the convention namespace:pagename; this lets the user write content without worrying about namespace collisions. We also use RDF to represent the page space as a directed labeled graph.

Each node in Platypus Wiki is both a Wiki page and an RDF resource. We are designing a navigation interface to simplify the interaction of users with the system and RDF metadata editing.
