Netleak is a collection of small perlscripts that detects connectivity between network segments. It is mostly useful to detect "leaks" in large organizations that have private networks physically separated from the Internet.


Imagine some large corporation which has an internal development LAN were all sorts of sensitive information is flowing around. This corporation would likely have some very strict rules as to how its employees access the internet or other partner branches in order to
protect its information. For the systemadinistrator this is a daunting task - as the corporate LAN grows keeping track of all the routes through the network becomes extremely difficult. Some routers might simply have been forgotten over time or an employee might have gone wise and connected his own adsl-router or something alike.

Network Leak Finder tries to detect this in a centralized manner by sending out spoofed packets into the internal network and if any packets finds a way onto the external network, a "leak" has been detected. As an anology it works the same way you would find a hole in
a bucket: fill it with water and see if anything leaks.

In most scenarios the external network would be the Internet since everybody should be afraid of what their corporate LANs are leaking to it!

PHP feed finder is a PHP class that finds all the URLs for all RSS and ATOM feeds that appear on a given as well as OPML outline documents from a Web page.
The project will convert any relative links that are found into absolute links. The only required input is the URL of the Web page to be scanned for links.
Enhancements:
- ATOM feed links and OPML outline documents are now retrieved by the class, in addition to RSS links.

DupeFinder is a simple application for locating, renaming, moving and deleting duplicate files in a directory structure.
Its perfect both for users who havent kept their hard drives very well organized and need to do some cleaning to free space, and for users who like to keep lots of backup copies of important data "just in case" something bad should happen.
Main features:
Although DupeFinder is a quite small application, it should have all of the features you will need to remove and reorganize large directories full of duplicate files:
- Well designed graphical interface with full tooltip and "Whats This?" question button support, useful in an application which you probably wont need to use frequently
- Quick processing by eliminating analysis of unwanted data through file extension filtering
- View files in external applications by double-clicking
- Rename files in place or move to new locations
- Default settings disallow deletion of all copies of duplicate files to prevent accidental data loss
- Generate simple reports identifying groups of duplicate files for later processing
While everything works pretty well in most cases, there are a few issues with DupeFinder to be aware of. I hope to fix most of the following bugs sometime soon:
- May crash if files containing "~" or ":" characters are encountered
- May crash if self referencing symlinks are encountered
- Zero byte files cannot be deleted
- May not be able to delete files with Unicode characters in filename
- Display does not update if identified duplicates are moved, renamed or modified external to DupeFinder

SGI plug-in provides SGI image file load & save modules for The GIMP. The plug-in supports GRAY, GRAYA, RGB, and RGBA color modes.

Using the SGI Plug-In:
The Parameter Settings buttons control how much compression is applied to the image:
No Compression stores the image raw or verbatim.

RLE Compression stores the image as a sequence of repeated or non-repeated pixels.
Advanced RLE checks for duplicate lines and channels in the image and sometimes produces dramatically smaller images but also takes longer to save.

Doc Finder Tab is a Plone product which makes Dieter Maurers DocFinder available from a ZMI management tab. Looking "inside" an object becomes as easy as clicking its Doc tab! An essential tool for Zope and Plone development.

To install extract the tarball into your Products directory and restart Zope. This will add a "Doc" tab to every objects managment screens. Now go to an objects management screen, click the "Doc" tab and start exploring.

File::Find::Similars is a Similar files locator.

Similar-sized and similar-named files are picked as suspicious candidates of duplicated files.

The first column is the size of the file, 2nd the name, and 3rd the path. The motto for the listing is that, I would rather my program overkills (wrongly picking out suspicious ones) than neglects something that would cause me otherwise years to notice.
By default, File::Find::Similars(3) assumes that similar files within the same folder are OK. Hence you will not get duplicate warnings for generated files (like .o, .class or .aux, and .dvi files) or other file series.

Once you are sure that there are no duplications between folders and want File::Find::Similars(3) to scoop further, specify the first parameter as 1. This is very good to eliminate similar mp3 files within the same folder, or downloaded files from big sites where different packaging methods are used, e.g.:
