Wings 3D is a subdivision modeler inspired by Nendo and Mirai from Izware.
Wings 3D is possible to assign materials, vertex color, UV coordinates and textures, but there will be improvements in those features before Wings goes 1.0.
There is no support in Wings for doing animations.

kdsing is a project that searches in words list (for translations).
kdsing uses a word list (e.g. English :: German) and lets you search though it.
This makes it a simple but very useful tool for looking up words when doing translations. It is derived from dsing.
kdsing is derived from dsing, a Tcl/Tk program to search in word lists
and help translators.
This is the port to KDE3.
Main features:

- Specify the path to your word list. This is /usr/local/dsing/words.gz if you use the kdsing-words RPM.
- Word delimiter
- One or more characters used to delimit the two language columns. Default is "::".
- Clear list for new search
- Will clear the output window before starting a new search.

- Show all matched lines or only the first n.

- Search for whole words only (-w grep option)

- Match has to occur at the beginning of line. This will only search in the first column.

- Zgrep is for searching in a gzip compressed file. The file in the kdsing-words RPM is gzip compressed, so you have to check this option.

GEAS project is a RPG-centric Web portal for moderated group authoring.

GEAS (Group Editing and Authoring System) provides a Web portal for a group of people to work on a set of documents together. It is optimized for RPG communication (campaign background, between-session summaries and details, online gaming) but is useful for any group that needs to manage an evolving collection of shared documents.

It supports multiple forums (i.e. campaigns) managed by moderators (i.e. GMs) with a flexible yet intuitive privileges model that enables users (i.e. players) to safely view, add, and edit content. It is based on a MySQL and Perl backend.

GEAS was started as a joint authoring environment for use by role playing groups that wanted to share materials away from the gaming table. This includes character descriptions, histories, session summaries, maps and scenes that were handled within GEAS rather than at the gaming table.

Since its inception, GEAS was designed to be as generic as possible, so that it could be adapted to other uses as well. Weve found it very handy for coordinating the development of the software, and its use for organizing genealogical information, such as family histories, has been proposed.

We think it is generally applicable to any scenario where many people can work together to build a web site organized by topics without any technical expertise in web site design or hosting.

wview is a linux/*BSD/unix/MacOSX-Darwin application that controls a Davis Vantage Pro or Vantage Pro2 weather station console to retrieve archive records and current conditions.

The archive records are stored in the Davis WLK file format (thus Weatherlink generated archive files can be used by wview). Archive records may optionally be stored in a relational database (MySQL or PostgreSQL).

At a user-defined interval, wview will use the archive history and current conditions to generate weather images (buckets and graphs) and HTML web pages based on configurable HTML templates. Optionally, the web pages can be transferred to a remote web server via an ftp or secure ssh process included with wview.

Optionally, the wview alarm daemon wvalarmd can be enabled to deliver current conditions to TCP socket clients as a near real-time data feed engine. wvalarmd can also be configured to function as a weather data alarm generator to user specified scripts or binaries. Optionally, your station data can be submitted to the CWOP system for use by NOAA and others or to the Weather Underground.

wview can be easily configured for international or US units, labels and text. wview supports serial and USB data loggers. wview natively supports connectivity with a terminal server or serial server via TCP sockets - no intermediate software required to make the ethernet port "look" like a serial port.

iBATIS project provides a very simple and flexible means of moving data between your Java and .NET objects and a relationaldatabase. Use the full power of real SQL without a single line of JDBC or ADO.NET code!

The Data Mapper framework (a.k.a. SQL Maps) will help to significantly reduce the amount of Java and .NET code that is normally neededto access a relational database. This framework maps classes to SQL statements using a very simple XML descriptor. Simplicity is the biggest advantage of iBATIS over other frameworks and object relational mapping tools.

To use iBATIS you need only be familiar with your own application domain objects (basic JavaBeans or .NET classes), XML, and SQL. There is very little else to learn. There is no complex scheme required to join tables or execute complex queries. Using iBATIS you have the full power of real SQL at your fingertips. The iBATIS Data Mapper framework can map nearly any database to any object model and is very tolerant of legacy designs, or even bad designs. This is all achieved without special database tables, peer objects or code generation.

iBATIS Data Access Objects is an abstraction layer that hides the details of your persistence solution and provides a common API to therest of your application.
When developing robust Java and .NET applications, it is often a good idea to isolate the specifics of your persistence implementationbehind a common API. Data Access Objects allow you to create simple components that provide access to your data withoutrevealing the specifics of the implementation to the rest of your application.

Using DAOs you can allow your application tobe dynamically configured to use different persistence mechanisms. If you have a complex application with a number of differentdatabases and persistence approaches involved, DAOs can help you create a consistent API for the rest of your application.

For Java users, the Data Access Objects framework is bundled as part of the iBATIS Database Layer, which includes the SQL Maps Framework. Although packaged together, the DAO Framework is completely independent and can be used without SQL Maps. .NET users can download the DataAccess framework seperately from the DataMapper framework.

taged is a commandline utility that can create and modify ID3 data, usually found in .mp3 files.
Besides supporting text frames like artist, title, track number and so on, taged also supports attached pictures, play counters and generated playlists. Taged aims at being quick and easy to use when many tags needs to be created/updated, and handles regular expression matching of tag data from filenames, as well as renaming files based on the tag.
Taged is based on libid3tag from libmad by Robert Leslie to read and render the id3 tags.
Taged is open source software, licensed with the GNU GPL.
Note that taged will crash with segmentation fault if you try to render an ID3v1 tag with a text string longer than 30 characters. This is a bug in the underlying libid3tag library, and patches are available at SourceForge.
