Gajim Now Listen changes the status of Gajim (jabber client) when amarok change song. The status remain the same, but the messages change to $artist - $album - $song.

Gajim Now Listen is very alpha, but seems to works.

qSong project is a song database and a lyrics manager program with multimedia features.

qSong is written in C++ with Qt4 library. It uses SQlite3 as a database backend so it is easy to acces the song database in standard way by 3rd party SQL tools through database intercaces as ODCB or JDBC.
I have chosen this platform because is very portable, relatively fast and easy to extendable with plugins.

Lyrics Manager is an amaroK script that manages the song lyrcis.

You can setup your editor (for editing) and directory with texts (for import and export) via script configuration. Script will take care of html break tags while importing and exporting lyrics text, so you can edit and store plain text with correct rendering it in amaroK.

Goggles Music Manager is a music collection manager and player. Goggles Music Manager allows you to easily manage your music collection.

Each song in your collection is organized according to Artist and Album. As of now, Goggles Music Manager supports Ogg Vorbis and MP3 files.

amaroK Now-Webing starts a webserver at an configurable port (Standard is 8080) which display the current song and artist.

Works great for parsing and displaying data on a webserver.

KMid is a X11 / KDE based midi player for Linux and FreeBSD.
KMid displays the text of karaoke files and change its colour as it is being played so that the tune can be easily followed !
It uses /dev/sequencer as output device supporting external synths, AWE , GUS and now also FM cards (such as sb16 or sbpro).

awn-amarok-minsec is an Amarok script that shows the album cover instead of amarok icon in Avant-window-navigator dockbar.

When a song is paused the cover is not unset, remaining time/pause are showed alternatively.
