Navyn OS is a GNU/Linux distribution based on Gentoo. Navyn OS is a live CD which can be booted from a CD-ROM, but it can also be installed on hard disk.
Most applications included with Navyn OS have very low resource requirements.
Enhancements:

Bandwidth Meter and Diagnostics is a Firefox extension that will automatically check whether Internet connection is working or not when a website can not be loaded, and a list of tools for network troubleshooting. Try to type a random domain name(e.g., qwqwqwq121212.com) to see what this means ...
This extension adds "Bandwidth Meter" to the Tools Menu. It performs the following tasks:
- Display your public IP address
- Display your public domain name
- Test download speed/bandwidth
- Test upload speed/bandwidth
This extension runs under any OS. If you use Windows, you could try our other Windows specific extension "Broadband Speed test and Diagnostics" that has extra features and can only run under Windows. We are creating this because we get many requests from non-windows users.

2-Disk X window embedded Linux is a very efficient Linux/xwindows distribution, implementing a net centric operating environment and user friendly GUI
The distribution is intended to be a demonstration of Mungkie assiciates embedded appliance development environment, showing the sort of environment that can be created for small appliance GUI systems using less than 4Mb flash and 4Mb RAM.
The embedded development environment is based around a standard source tree containing all the required utilities for a standard POSIX unix implementation with a number of XML based GUI configuration and compilation tools. Simple GUI utilities are used to configure required components and set compilation options.
The distribution is targeted as a base for:

Kate OS Live is a live CD edition of Kate OS 3.0 Beta which is now available for download and testing.
KateOS LIVE 3.0beta is now available. This version includes most of desktop applications and features Xfce as the graphical environment. It should be especially interesting for those who would like to help us in testing but do not have enough disk space.

Enhancements:
- The second beta of KateOS 3.6 is now available. It contains many changes, both important and purely cosmetic ones, such as: new update notifier; new 2.6.21.4 kernel; X.Org 7.2; the newest versions of KDE 3.5.7, GNOME 2.18.2 and Xfce 4.4.1, OpenOffice.org 2.2.0, and many more. The CORE edition also includes a partial French translation of the installer. The second beta also has a lot of bugs eliminated (including some in the KateOS LIVE installer). Everyone is invited to test and share the experience on the KateOS project forum.

Nexenta is a complete GNU-based open source operating system built on top of the OpenSolaris kernel and runtime.
It is a result of our inspiration and desire to build a great system based on the best existing software: SunOS kernel and GNU software. We use Debian - one of the best existing software distribution/packaging mechanisms - to glue the numerous pieces together.
At the moment, Nexenta is not part of the Debian Project. Our packages are not present in the Debian database. We are hoping that in the future this will change and our packages will get their "upstream acceptance".
Nexenta OS has been a hard and challenging work, yet every bit of it is fun! We spent many hours building the system and today it is out - itll start speaking for itself.
Nexenta is completely open source and free of any charge.

Nexenta software packages (for the most part) are originated from Ubuntu (Breezy) Linux. Ubuntu (yet another excellent distribution that uses DEB software packaging) contains more than 16,000+ software packages. One of our goals is to make them all available for use on top of our environment.
Today Nexenta runs on both 32-bit and 64-bit x86/x64 platforms. As a prove of relative maturity and a confidence booster - this web portal and the entire development environment (including Bugs and HackZone) are powered by Nexenta.
