WvStreams is a library set composed of a number of parts. WvStreams is a network programming library in C++.
It was constructed over the lifetime of the NetIntegrator mostly by apenwarr but also with tons of help from dcoombs. More recently, just about everyone in NITI R&D, as well as several people from the WvStreams MailingList have contributed many features, or helped us improve existing features.
WvStreams aims to be an efficient, secure, easy-to-use, and OS-independent library for doing network applications development, and we think that it has pretty much lived up to those goals. Currently all or parts of it work under Linux, *BSD, Solaris, and MAC OS X. Some parts have been ported to Windows, with a more complete port coming really soon.
Most people who have read WvStreams-based code seem to be very impressed with how readable it makes application programs. It would have been impossible to build WvDial, TunnelVision, Retchmail, and the rest of the programs found on this site as quickly as we did without a good framework library.
Currently, what documentation exists is a bit sporadic. The header files from the source code are fairly well documented, and, for those looking for examples, all of the programs on this site have been developed using this library, so you should be able to get some ideas from them.
Enhancements:
- The event loop model has been changed to allow for greater performance in the future.
- The X509 certificate and CRL API have been extended to support more features required for comprehensive X509 path validation.

Installation Instructions:

• pt-helper is written in Python, so you'll need a Python interpreter to get anything working. It also depends on several Python modules;
• If you do have all the dependencies, you should be able to run the program just by running the pt-helper script with a Python interpreter. From a shell, the following command should do the trick: $ python pt-helper.py
  
• Users of graphical file managers can probably double-click the pt-helper script to achieve the same effect.

Autodia::Handler::Torque Perl module contains an AutoDia handler for Torque xml database schema.

This provides Autodia with the ability to read Torque Database Schema files, allowing you to convert them via the Diagram Export methods to images (using GraphViz and VCG) or html/xml using custom templates or to Dia.

Description

The Torque handler will parse the xml file using XML::Simple and populating the diagram object with class, superclass, and relationships representing tables and relationships.

The Torque handler is registered in the Autodia.pm module, which contains a hash of language names and the name of their respective language.

JD Bible Bot is a chat bot for some instant messaging systems - mainly Jabber - with which people can read the holy Scriptures of Christianity and other related material.
The networking part is based on Jabber technology, the Bible part is based on diatheke and Sword project. This program is Free Software and Open Source - you can download, use, modify and redistribute it according to the BSD-style licence terms.
Because of free and open nature of the Jabber system this program can be used with MSN, AIM, Yahoo!, ICQ and other IM systems through special gateways or transports. I recommend using Jabber or Google Talk (which is directly XMPP/Jabber compliant, using industry standards). Most other systems try to limit users choice and freedom.

Enhancements:
- This release is a sort of "technology preview": it has important new features, most notably search and Bible book name localization, but search works only with the modified diatheke backend, and l10n works properly with latest diatheke svn.
- These features are optional at the moment, and upgrading is recommended anyway because of bugfixes and other enhancements.

Screen readers can help to read the text and so-called braille-displays can be used to make alphanumerical output by an application become tangible by the finger tips. However, these tools are valuable only, if the application does not make too much use of graphical symbols and different kinds of interaction with the mouse.

Cursed MIDI Sequencer is a MIDI-Sequencer which targets both terminal purists and visually impaired people. The purely character- based interface provides the kind of information needed by braille-displays and screen-readers.

But CuSE can also enable normally sighted people to run the sequencer over a network or on a low-end embedded device.
