Pub Team Football Manager is a football manager software.
From the main screen, there are six options available (yellow buttons) for showing or editing diffrent information during the game. Here is an explanation:
Info: This shows the details of your team such as kit colours and current news items. Kit colours can be changed by clicking them. The latest news from the pub team grapevine is shown, with any items directly relevant to your team are *** starred.
Squad: The place where you pick your team. Players numbered 1 to 11 will play, 12 and above are substitutes or rested. Each players current position, together with his fitness and morale, are indicated next to his name. Further vital statistics of a player are obtained by clicking on his name. To move a player in or out of your first eleven, click on the "Sub" or "Play" button. You may look at other teams squads by clicking on the < and > buttons.
Tactics: Choose the tactics and playing style of your team. A number of formations are available, and you can choose your teams passing style and aggressiveness.
Fixtures: Lists all your fixtures for the current season, including cup fixtures when drawn. You may look at other teams fixtures by clicking on the < and > buttons.
Table: The current league standings. There are two divisions, each containing 16 teams. Your team is indicated by *.
Records: Shows the best wins and record goalscorers for the current season.
Play: Click here to actually play your matches. The weeks fixtures from your division are indicated, with your match highlighted in red. Press "Start Match" to begin the match simulation, but you can later pause if things start to happen too quickly. A match report and stats are available, and are updated as the match plays. If one of your players gets injured, the game will automatically be paused.
To start a new game, select which team you wish to take charge of, and press "Start New Game". The main screen is then displayed, which is controlled by the large yellow buttons, described in the opposite panel...
Your squad consists of many players who frequent your local drinking establishment. Each player has many attributes, which are rated from A+ to F. These affect the gameplay in various ways. For example, a player who is good at tackling may make a good defender, whereas a player whose shooting attribute is high should be put up front.
All the players attributes are available in the "Squad" section by clicking on a players name. Also available is each players preferred position, indicated in brackets e.g. (Def/Mid), although this is only a guide.
The most important attribute is the players fitness. Try to pick players who are reasonably fit wherever possible. Players fitness may improve when rested, but if they are rested too long, their morale may suffer.
The chosen style of play and formation also have an influence, and some options work better with certain kinds of players. It is your job as manager to weigh up all the factors when picking your strategy and players.
As the season progresses, you will sometimes play cup matches. The Cup is a knockout tournament which includes teams from both divisions. If you are knocked out, you will not play in further rounds, but you can still watch the matches.
Occasionally, players will leave your club, and sometimes new players may join. Since it is a pub team, you dont have much control of what your players do. However, players with a low morale are more likely to leave.
At the end of the season, the top three teams from the lower division (B) are promoted to the higher division (A). The game is open-ended and you may continue for as many seasons as you like.

Eat The Whistle is an opensource soccer game originally developed by Hurricane Studios as commercial product for the Amiga platform. It has a lot of features never seen in other soccer games.
The original Amiga version has been made portable with the help of the SDL library, now ETW runs on a wide range of machines, the site will keep precompiled binaries for Win32, Linux, MacOSX, AmigaOS, but its possible to adapt it to run on every platform supported by SDL.

- World cup, leagues, cups with real teams (with slightly modified names).
- Time synchronized, faster CPU get faster framerate but not faster gameplay.

- Very intuitive control method with acceleration/deceleration.

Natrium Engine project tracks groups of parts by letting users define the relationships between parts. Users create definitions for configurations and parts.
These are joined together to form a rule for parts in configurations. When a part is removed from or added to a configuration, all children of that part are also transferred. This has special applications to "living" inventory, or groups of disparate parts that need to be tracked as a group rather than individually.
For example, if a carburetor is made a separate configuration from an engine, then when removing it all parts associated with the carburetor are also removed. A facility is provided for tracking user-defined line-item costs of each part.

StoryTestIQ is a tool for creating "Executable Requirements" which have also been known as acceptance tests or functional tests. STIQ was developed based on two other open source acceptance testing tools, Selenium and FitNesse.
This combination allowed StoryTestIQ to capture the web browser based testing facilities and elegant command language of Selenium along with the wiki based editing and pluggable Fit fixture loading of FitNesse. We believe that this increases the productivity of working with StoryTestIQ and also enhances the capabilities of Selenium to test beyond the user interface.
When developing web applications it is helpful for the cross-functional team to have a definitive and executable view of the requirements for a specified iteration.
StoryTestIQ may be used to record what the teams customer needs and get sign off before developing even a single line of code. Most of the test cases which are recorded will be failing. It is the responsibility of the team to implement the requirements in order to make the test cases pass. These practices are based in the tradition of Test-Driven Development.
Although teams would benefit greatly from the above approach in which your entire cross-functional team including the customer, business analyst, QA, development, and anybody else providing input on the product benefits, StoryTestIQ does not enforce this approach.
StoryTestIQ may also be used in traditional development teams to create acceptance and functional tests. They may be used to supplement the teams unit tests with a Test-Driven Development approach or even to automate existing manual test cases.

fancylogin is one of the most powerful login programs available for Linux. It can do everything your old login program can do, e.g., handling shadowed passwd files, user-time-terminal/network-verification as done with HP-UX login, etc. The project adds a lot of capabilities for logging logins and support for themes to control the logins look.
History:
I first had the idea of creating a better login for linux, when i was working for IBM in the summer. a really big company had lots of 5250 terminals standing around. OS/400 would allow you (just like fancylogin) to insert an ascii-graphic with colors, etc., so all terminals were showing the companys emblem. this really looked great. so why is it, that one of the best server-systems like linux has such a boring login-screen? even Novell Netware has at least bits of color!
The more i studied popular login-programs, such as Julienne Haughs shadow-login, the more i realized that much more capabilities for security and logging are needed, in order to guarantee a secure system. fancylogin shouldnt only be a a fancy login but also a secure and very functional one. And as everybody who wants to do something on a system must be authenticated by a login, a good login-program is one of the most important keys to a secure and reliable system. fancylogin should be the answer.
The first thing i did was write a litte fancy.o with really weird configuration (the signon.*-files). then i had a look at the sources of the shadow-login-program and included a call to my fancy_prompt-routine. that was all. but as i didnt know anything about that code, i decided to take my fancy.o and write my own login-program around it, because i had a lot of improvements in mind. that was in the christmas-holidays of 1999. after those holiday fancylogin 0.99.5 was out, and the first login program that supported techniques from shadow AND from HP-UX-login (usertty). that was when Andreas Krennmair joined the team. soon we released 0.99.6, and for the first time announced it in c.o.l.a. and on freshmeat.net. on the first day of the release we got 5000 hits, and our school-server had three times the workload it usually had. that was when we put the project on sourceforge.
If i had to give a codename to fancylogin 0.99.7 i would call it "0.99.7 - the great odyssee". first we released some minor patches and fixes in 0.99.6b, but we had great plans for 0.99.7. priority number one was an improved way of configuring everything. then Matthew Wormald wrote an email doing suggestions on fancylogin. one of these were to support ANSI-files, which was the solution of our dilemma. then i worked on support for ANSI-files, but just couldnt get an ANSI-interpreted terminal together with ncurses. after a few months we decided to forget about the ANSIs, because it was too difficult to implement. Andreas Krennmair wrote flted, a program to create signon*- configurations. it should never really be released, because he finally managed to do it. in fancylogin-0.99.7-alpha2 everything was finished already, with fancylogin supporting the signon.defs and two ANSI-files. but i wanted to have everything in one file, so themes could be easily installed, and every theme-related information was in one file. so i decided to put everything into a structure, and wrote fltcreate and the neccessary modifications to fancy.o, and fancylogin-0.99.7 was finished. the first fancylogin a normal human could actually configure and write themes for!

If i had to give a codename to fancylogin 0.99.7 i would call it "0.99.7 - the great odyssee". first we released some minor patches and fixes in 0.99.6b, but we had great plans for 0.99.7. priority number one was an improved way of configuring everything. then Matthew Wormald wrote an email doing suggestions on fancylogin. one of these were to support ANSI-files, which was the solution of our dilemma. then i worked on support for ANSI-files, but just couldnt get an ANSI-interpreted terminal together with ncurses. after a few months we decided to forget about the ANSIs, because it was too difficult to implement. Andreas Krennmair wrote flted, a program to create signon*- configurations. it should never really be released, because he finally managed to do it. in fancylogin-0.99.7-alpha2 everything was finished already, with fancylogin supporting the signon.defs and two ANSI-files. but i wanted to have everything in one file, so themes could be easily installed, and every theme-related information was in one file. so i decided to put everything into a structure, and wrote fltcreate and the neccessary modifications to fancy.o, and fancylogin-0.99.7 was finished. the first fancylogin a normal human could actually configure and write themes for!

Realms of Rivalry is an online tactical rpg. Play short skirmishes in random-generated game worlds.
The game can be summarized as an online graphical turn-based strategy/rpg game where you can play short tactical skirmishes with 2-4 players in small random-generated game worlds. The game is free and can be played either as an applet or downloadable client.
The time-limited turns (30-90 secs) give the game a semi-realtime feel, and the game has sometimes been characterized as "chess on steroids".
Main features:
- Community friendly game lobby where you can chat with others and join realms.
- Up to 4 players simultaneously battling on the same realm.
- Players control teams of 3 characters: Warrior, Archer and Mage.
- Time-limited turn-based gameplay.
- Random-generated game worlds (realms).
- CPU controlled monsters.
- Several weapons, armor, traps and other items.
- Occlusion calculation used in combat situations.
- Interrupts.
- Different types of terrain.
- Buy & sell items at vendors.
- Monster respawning.

The game development has been very "test-driven" in the sense that the game quickly was made playable and that features and changes were added and removed continuously during development. This hopefully improves gameplay, but of course at the expense of dramatically increased development time.
Realms of rivalry was never intended to "soothe the masses", but were made entirely to match the game that we ourselves would like to play - something we have done for many, many hours :-) But of course, some of you might enjoy this game aswell, and that is why we decided to share it with you!.
