httping is a "ping"-like tool for HTTP requests. Give it a URL and it will show how long it takes to connect, send a request, and retrieve the reply (only the headers).
httping can be used for monitoring or statistical purposes (measuring latency).
Enhancements:
- A big memory leak in the SSL code was fixed.
- An audible ping mode was added.

Scylla Charybdis lets you get a data odyssey done with the help of two small monsters. Its easy to use, utilizes SSL (encryption), LIBZ (compression), and simple password protection. A builtin timeout detects link breaks (for dialups) such that an uploads can be automatically continued from where it broke (within a file). MD5 sums detect if files are successfully transferred. In case of data changes the destination is renamed and not overwritten (backup history). Data throttling can prevent the transfer from using up full bandwith, such that a background upload does not disturb your SSH sessions (like SCP does).
Scylla must be run from inetd. Charybdis connects to Scylla to upload file. The protocol uses ZLIB (compression) and SSL (encryption).If a partial uploaded file is found the missing part is appended. If a correctly uploaded file is found charybdis gives exit code 0.
The upload is protected by a clear text (SSL transmitted) password. Heavy timeout protection is built in in case that dialup breaks.Charybdis shows a little upload progress meter on stdout.There is a throtteling feature such that Charybdis does not utilize the full bandwidth.
Enhancements:
- charybdis.c (main): Timeout can now be given on the command line, too.
- example/backuploop.sh: Improved, now acts very reliable. Basic documentation is in README.backup.
- example/backuploophelper.sh: This is a crude script to run additional charybdis in parallel to backuploop.sh to speed up data trabnsfers in LAN. Note that S&C never were thought to be fast. S&C was thought to be reliable and work in a steadily failing
- surrounding.

PHPki is a Web-based application for managing a multi-agency PKI for HIPAA compliance. With it, you may create and centrally manage X.509 certificates for use with S/MIME enabled e-mail clients, SSL servers, and VPN applications.
Enhancements:
- This release addresses a number of bugs and enhancements reported on Sourceforge.
- It ads support for VPN and timestamping certificates.
- PHP5 compatibility has hopefully been improved.

SSL++ is simple C++ library that encapsulates some of OpenSSL functionality in easy to use set of classes.
SSL++ library is in very early stage of development now, but can do enough already to be useful to C++ developers, who want to use SSL in their programs.
Following classes are provided:
- CSSLObject
- CSSLConnection
- CSSLServer
CSSLConnection class represents SSL-enabled connection between two machines.
It could be used on both server and client side. If used as server, it will allow you to accept exactly one connection. Kind of P2P.
CSSLServer class represents SSL-enables network server. On creation server binds to the socket, and listens for incomming connections. To receive next connection call nextClient() function. It will block untill connection is received and SSL handshake is performed. It returns pointer to ready for I/O CSSLConnection object. This object must be explicitly deleted, once you no longer need it.
CSSLObject class is base class for all SSL++ objects. It is responsible for library initialisation, and some common functions. If you are not hacking SSL++, you dont need it.

Crypt::SSLeay is a Perl module for OpenSSL glue that provides LWP https support.

This perl module provides support for the https protocol under LWP, so that a LWP::UserAgent can make https GET & HEAD & POST requests. Please see perldoc LWP for more information on POST requests.

The Crypt::SSLeay package contains Net::SSL, which is automatically loaded by LWP::Protocol::https on https requests, and provides the necessary SSL glue for that module to work via these deprecated modules:
