watchDhcp is a simple script that lets you watch and react to a change in the systems IP address. It is useful for automatically reconfiguring NAT, DNS, and firewall services.]
This script has been written to help keep an unattended OpenBSD box working as a firewall on a cable modem. The box gets its IP through DHCP, and as such this can change. When the IP changes, there have been problems with NAT and IPF -- so these are restarted/reconfigured. Since the DNS records must also be updated, when the IP changes this information is mailed to a sent admin address, so the machine is never "lost".

Whenever something else comes up that mucks up the machine, I add it to this script. So far so good, five months and counting.

K ISDN Watch is a universal ISDN monitor for KDE 3, and can be used with each AVM ISDN-Controller and the CAPI4Linux driver.
K ISDN Watch is an "open source" program: the complete source code is available under the GNU Public License. The program is based on the ISDN monitor "kimon", written by Markus Dahlweid for I4L (ISDN4Linux) and the HiSax driver. K ISDN Watch can be used in all Linux distributions.

dvdwizard is a wrapper-script which incorporates a fully automated creation of a DVD-structure with Chapters and menus from one or more mpeg-streams.

This is done by several "sub-scripts" and various freely available tools. dvdwizard is free software distributed under the GPL license.

Usage:

Just issue

#> dvdwizard my_movie.mpg

and go grab yourself a beer, have lunch oder whatever you like to do for about half an hour (depending on your machines speed - for me its 30 minutes on an Athlon 1.4 GHz, 512 MB).

Come back, issue

#> xine dvd://`pwd`/dvd/

and watch your DVD or burn it and take it to your stand-alone DVD.

ipa provides a per-address accounting for networks.

/ipa-watch scoreboard interface [network/netmask | network netmask]
e.g. ipa-watch eth0-dump eth0

logs all traffic ON interface (same network) to the scoreboard.
the scoreboard is fixed size of 4*(2^(32-cidr))

SIGHUP msync() the scoreboard
SIGTERM sync and exit
SIGINT sync and exit

./ipa-dump [-r] scoreboard [network]
e.g. ipa-dump eth0-dump 192.168.1.0

-r resets the counters

writes all non-zero addresses to standard output. if a network-address
is supplied, all addresses will be relocated. e.g.

Detonate dynamite by the blue load bearing pilars to bring down the castles. Watch out for the guards, hide next to walls but not too close to guards, and escape via windows.
Enhancements:
- This release includes improved graphics and rendering engine.
- Two new gigantic levels were added.
- The game includes per-level high score.
- There have been numerous interface improvements as well as some minor bugfixes.

Gatotray project is a colorful tray icon to watch over CPU status including usage, frequency and temperature.
Main features:
- Time scale is non-linear: right-most columns reflect last seconds while lefter columns accumulate older measures, providing an idea of cpu usage evolution for up to 30 minutes in a glimpse. It makes a beautiful smoothing effect too.
- Colors of the usage bars vary with frequency, from green to red.
- Tooltip shows current usage percentage, frequency and temperature numerically.
- Instant temperature is shown graphically, in the form of a nice thermometer :-). Thermometer blinks on high temperature (>=85 C).
- Pops-up a top window with detailed system usage (on click).

tc-viewer provides the ability to watch current transfers that take place in HTB and HFSC traffic shaping classes on specified interface.

tc-viewer reads output from: tc -s class show dev iface, and analyzes (for each class) values in lines like this one :
