wallpaperChooser is a small application for managing your wallpapers. It has the ability to store wallpapers, preview them, and set them on the desktop.

Installation:
To install this application just run as root:
#make install
In order to uninstall it (as root too):
#make uninstall
Enhancements:
- Added to the code the ability to check if the needed directories and files exist and in case they dont, create them.

Wallpaper Slideshow is a software to make a slideshow in your wallpaper with images in your directory.

This application monitories a directory and put an image in wallpaper before X seconds.

You need mono and if you have ubuntu 6.10, only need to do: sudo aptitude install -y libmono2.0-cil libgconf2.0-cil gtk-sharp2.

Wallpapoz tool enables your Gnome desktop to have different wallpapers for different workspaces or virtual desktops. It offers quick orientation cues where you are. The other reason is to increase eye candy. In this version, it support randomization.

It means you can group your wallpapers into spesific workspaces. You can manage it so that your cartoon wallpapers will be randomize for certain times in workspace one, your nature wallpapers in workspace two, your adult wallpapers in workspace three and your Gnome wallpapers in workspace four.

There are two programs. One is the daemon that will monitor your desktop continuously. So when you change workspace or specified time has passed, the daemon wil change your desktop wallpaper.

The daemon it self reads your wallpapers list and preferation then acts according to that. The configuration file is written in xml format. Of course you can edit with any text editor but that is not convenient.

To make it easy, there is another program to edit this configuration file. Click the button, find the wallpapers that you would like to put into spesific workspace. Please see the screenshot to see how it works.

The daemon program name is daemon_wallpapoz.py. You need to add this program into Gnome start up programs list if you want every time you log into Gnome session, your Gnome desktop will have the ability to have different wallpapers for different workspaces. But first you need to make the configuration file by using program that called wallpapoz.py.

WallpaperZapper is a random wallpaper selector for GNOME. It allows you to change periodically your background, randomly picking the new one from GNOME backgrounds lists.
Main features:

- time between two changes is fully configurable
- popup menu provides available wallpapers list. Choosing an item in the menu changes the current wallpaper
- wallpaper list is taken from Gnome backgrounds list. Any change made to this list is detected and WZ adapts itself accordingly

- uses gtk/gnome throught pygtk
- preferences saved and wallpapers configured using gconf
- backgrounds file monitored using gamin (could change to gnomevfs shortly)

- autotools were used to bring it altogether.
Enhancements:
- gamin is no longer used to monitor background files.
- GNOMEvfs is used instead.
- The wallpaper popup menu has been modified so it now presents a background together with a thumbnail.
- The wallpaper list is now sorted on wallpaper name.
- The about dialog now inherits from gtk.AboutDialog, so it should be more like GTK.
- An adapter between Wallpapers and GConf was added.
- Usual code cleanups were done, including fixes for typos, removal of comments, and modification of configuration parameters.

Webilder aims to be a complete solution for Webshots users who use Linux (and possibly Mac OS X soon).

Permatomumas is a theme made on Mandriva 2007.0 distribution, and was selected Mandriva Theme. I used some wallpapers from kde-look.org.

The name means Transparent in Lithuanian.

Extract to ~/.kde/share/apps/kstyle/themes/ 2 dirs 1 thm file ;)
