Wallpaper Control is a graphical wallpaper manager.

Wallpaper Control is a non-window manager-specific wallpaper manager for the X Window System.

It aims to be a full featured utility for managing and setting your images you use as wallpaper.

Features include a preview window, directory listing, and deletion of graphics from hard drive.

WallpaperZapper is a random wallpaper selector for GNOME. It allows you to change periodically your background, randomly picking the new one from GNOME backgrounds lists.
Main features:
- changes desktop background periodically
- time between two changes is fully configurable
- popup menu provides available wallpapers list. Choosing an item in the menu changes the current wallpaper
- wallpaper list is taken from Gnome backgrounds list. Any change made to this list is detected and WZ adapts itself accordingly

- uses gtk/gnome throught pygtk
- preferences saved and wallpapers configured using gconf
- backgrounds file monitored using gamin (could change to gnomevfs shortly)

Enhancements:
- gamin is no longer used to monitor background files.
- GNOMEvfs is used instead.
- The wallpaper popup menu has been modified so it now presents a background together with a thumbnail.
- The wallpaper list is now sorted on wallpaper name.
- The about dialog now inherits from gtk.AboutDialog, so it should be more like GTK.
- An adapter between Wallpapers and GConf was added.
- Usual code cleanups were done, including fixes for typos, removal of comments, and modification of configuration parameters.

With AllTray you can dock any application with no native tray icon (like Evolution, Thunderbird, Terminals) into the system tray.
A high-light feature is that a click on the "close" button will minimize back to system tray. AllTray works well with Gnome, KDE, XFCE 4, Fluxbox and WindowMaker.

Wallpaper Slideshow is a software to make a slideshow in your wallpaper with images in your directory.

This application monitories a directory and put an image in wallpaper before X seconds.

You need mono and if you have ubuntu 6.10, only need to do: sudo aptitude install -y libmono2.0-cil libgconf2.0-cil gtk-sharp2.

qxPlayer is a simple qt4-based music player.

Silky is a secure chat client for SILC protocol.
The project was launched in summer 2003, motivated by the fact that there was no good graphical SILC client available. There was obvious demand for an easy to use client, as at the time there was only one fully featured client and it was a textual client.
First proof-of-concept version of Silky was drafted together quickly in couple of days, and it got some people interested in developing a fully featured graphical client. Now, after year and a half and with contributions from many friendly people Silky is starting to look and feel like a real chat client.
The primary objective of the project is to create a chat client that suits the needs of beginners as well as advanced users. Silky differentiates from other simple SILC clients, such as GAIM, by having more features and flexibility, but without losing the easy of use.
Portability is one of the key features of the Silky. The code has been tested to work in all major operating systems including Linux, Mac OS X and Windows. Silky should run in all kinds of environments from embedded Linux devices to powerful desktop workstation.
Next steps of the project are to complete all missing features, and to get Silky shipped with all major Linux distributions.
