Wallpaper Slideshow is a software to make a slideshow in your wallpaper with images in your directory.

This application monitories a directory and put an image in wallpaper before X seconds.

You need mono and if you have ubuntu 6.10, only need to do: sudo aptitude install -y libmono2.0-cil libgconf2.0-cil gtk-sharp2.

GRSlideShow project is everything you need in order to put your pictures online. Put the GRSlideShow script in the parent directory of your albums and youre done. Nothing else needed.
Put your pictures in different directories, each directory is an album.
There is much more you can do, you can upload pictures from the web, set descriptions and comments to albums, or create new albums, you can add descriptions to pictures, rotate your images or automaticallly resize pictures to reduce bandwith usage.
You can upload zip files, and have them automatically extracted on the server. The zip flle can be kept in the Download section so your friends can download all the pictures for offline browsing and printing.
You can allow image upload for guests for specific albums, so your friends can upload their stuff as well. All In One is the fastest way to see all the pictures on one page, just scroll down, but this is usefull only when your network is fast.
And of course there is the slideshow where everything started, fade in fade out style slideshow, simple and powerfull. The slideshow is quite fast, since the next images are loaded to cache while the current image is displayed.

Javascript Flickr Slideshow is a slideshow that shows images from Flickr.com. You can specify tags and/or users to limit the slideshow.
Javascript Flickr Slideshow uses the "canvas" object, works in Firefox and Internet Explorer using the excanvas.js library, and integrates into any Web page.
Enhancements:
- A bug that caused Internet Explorer to crash when refreshing a page was fixed.
- The API was expanded to handle image and canvas tags.

Wallpaper Control is a graphical wallpaper manager.

Wallpaper Control is a non-window manager-specific wallpaper manager for the X Window System.

It aims to be a full featured utility for managing and setting your images you use as wallpaper.

Features include a preview window, directory listing, and deletion of graphics from hard drive.

ChangeWallpaper application has two scripts for change your background in Gnome, from a Folder with several images or from art.gnome.org

This application is two scripts. One of them changes the wallpaper of your Gnome desktop from a Folder of your election. This script hence the necessary of wallpapers on that folder.

The second one, and for me the best, change your background with a random one selected from art.gnome.org.

For both of them you must select the softlink that its generated the first time you run it, and the add the script to you session manager, with this every time you boot your PC and log into your account you will see a new background.

Zen-slideshow is a slideshow application for Web sites. The Web developer decides where zen-slideshow will be installed, the folder which will contain the images for the slideshow, the maximum width and height for the images in the slide show, whether or not to use thumbnails, the maximum width and height of the thumbnails, whether to use manual slideshow navigatioin controls, whether to use automatic slideshow controls, and many other options.

Wallpapoz tool enables your Gnome desktop to have different wallpapers for different workspaces or virtual desktops. It offers quick orientation cues where you are. The other reason is to increase eye candy. In this version, it support randomization.

It means you can group your wallpapers into spesific workspaces. You can manage it so that your cartoon wallpapers will be randomize for certain times in workspace one, your nature wallpapers in workspace two, your adult wallpapers in workspace three and your Gnome wallpapers in workspace four.

There are two programs. One is the daemon that will monitor your desktop continuously. So when you change workspace or specified time has passed, the daemon wil change your desktop wallpaper.

The daemon it self reads your wallpapers list and preferation then acts according to that. The configuration file is written in xml format. Of course you can edit with any text editor but that is not convenient.

To make it easy, there is another program to edit this configuration file. Click the button, find the wallpapers that you would like to put into spesific workspace. Please see the screenshot to see how it works.

The daemon program name is daemon_wallpapoz.py. You need to add this program into Gnome start up programs list if you want every time you log into Gnome session, your Gnome desktop will have the ability to have different wallpapers for different workspaces. But first you need to make the configuration file by using program that called wallpapoz.py.
