Asterisk-Java 0.3

Asterisk-Java 0.3

Asterisk-Java provides a set of Java classes that allow you to easily build Java applications. more>>
The Asterisk-Java package consists of a set of Java classes that allow you to easily build Java applications that interact with an Asterisk PBX Server. Asterisk-java supports both interfaces that Asterisk provides for this scenario, The FastAGI protocol and the Manager API.
Asterisk-Java is compatible with Asterisk 1.0 and 1.2. The FastAGI implementation supports all commands currently available from Asterisk.
The Manager API implementation supports receiving events from the Asterisk server (e.g. call progess, registered peers, channel state) and sending actions to Asterisk (e.g. originate call, agent login/logoff, start/stop voice recording).
Enhancements:
- This release has full support for Asterisk 1.4 and the new Live API (org.asteriskjava.live).
- The Live API takes care of the low-level action and event handling of the Manager API, and offers an intuitive API for Java developers.
- Asterisk-Java takes advantage of the features of Java 5.0, and therefore requires a Java Virtual Machine of at least version 1.5.0.

AsteriskNOW 1.4.0 Beta

AsteriskNOW 1.4.0 Beta

AsteriskNOW helps you install Asterisk in 30 minutes or less. more>>
AsteriskNOW helps you install Asterisk in 30 minutes or less. The most popular open source PBX software, Asterisk, can now be easily configured with a graphical interface.

AsteriskNOW is an open source Software Appliance; a customized Linux distribution that includes Asterisk, the Asterisk GUI, and all other software needed for an Asterisk system.

Asterisk is a complete IP PBX in software. It runs on a wide variety of operating systems including Linux, Mac OS X, OpenBSD, FreeBSD and Sun Solaris and provides all of the features you would expect from a PBX including many advanced features that are often associated with high end (and high cost) proprietary PBXs.

Asterisk supports Voice over IP in many protocols, and can interoperate with almost all standards-based telephony equipment using relatively inexpensive hardware.
Asterisk and AsteriskNOW are released as open source under the GNU General Public License (GPL), meaning that they are available for download free of charge.

Asterisk was created by Mark Spencer of Digium, Inc in 1999. Code has been contributed from open source coders around the world, and testing and bug-patches from the community have provided invaluable aid to the development of this software.

Asterisk::LDAP 0.6.0

Asterisk::LDAP 0.6.0

Asterisk::LDAP is a perl module for generating Asterisk 1.0 compatible configuration files from an LDAP directory tree. more>>
Asterisk::LDAP is a perl module for generating Asterisk 1.0 compatible configuration files from an LDAP directory tree.
The package includes everything you need to get started, including the module itself, schema files, and example code.
Functionality is provided to see if a reload is necessary and optionally send asterisk a reload command when updates are made. Included is a script that can be called from voicemail.confs externpass option to update a users voice mailbox PIN number in LDAP.
Asterisk::LDAP is currently capable of generating extensions.conf, voicemail.conf, and musiconhold.conf. Support is planned for sip.conf, iax.conf, and meetme.conf.
Enhancements:
- Contexts are now written with a serial number and are not updated unless the serial number is incremented.
- This allows for granular and guaranteed consistent updates.
- The API has been dramatically cleaned up.
- Where before a number of calls were required to set up before getting any useful data out, only one call is required and three more optional calls can help automate most of the configuration.
- The developer may now choose to read the information from LDAP or write the contents to a set of files or to access the internal data structures directly for manual formatting.

Asterisk Live CF card b-01

Asterisk Live CF card b-01

Asterisk Live CF card is, clearly, a compact flash install of asterisk. more>>
Asterisk Live CF card is, clearly, a compact flash install of asterisk that will give you a complete, running system similar to that of the asterisk live CD.

Indeed most things are the same although there have been some additions and changes.

To install the CF you will need some way of getting the image onto the card. Generally this can be done with a USB CF card reader using

dd if=asterisk-cf-b01 of=/dev/sda bs=1k count=64000

Useful things to know

1. The cf install currently assumes its hda (1 2 and 3) so youll need to put it in as your primary master using your CF->IDE adaptor, this will be more automagical in the future

2. example configs are stored on hda3 along with a new feature script called remoteconfig. This will allow you to update the configuration/OS automatically on boot from a remote webserver. More detail on how to use this feature will appear at http://www.automated.it/asterisk be sure to read any notes there first.

3. At the minimum youll need a 64mb CF card but you can use a larger one if you wish and create futher partitions. Currenly when you create the CF from the image the following partitions exist

Disk /dev/hda: 8 heads, 32 sectors, 490 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 256 * 512 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 * 1 33 4208 83 Linux
/dev/hda2 34 354 41088 83 Linux
/dev/hda3 355 490 17408 83 Linux

4. Once booted you will need to make changes to the files in /dev/hda3/astlive-example, particularly networking and the zapata/zaptel configs. Note, if you rename the astlive-example directory to astlive then on the next boot the files will be copied and activated on the running system automatically. Using the example astlive directory includes a PASSWORD CHANGE for root from EPPING to epping (without quotes) as a demonstration. At the minimum you MUST change the networking to suit your environment, since they will change to what is in this directory too.

5. All partitions on the CF are unmounted after boot so if you need to work on them, you will need to specifically mount them.

6. Ive tested E100P, X100P and TDM40B cards using this install, and would be interested to hear of other cards proven to be working.

Asterisk::FastAGI 0.01

Asterisk::FastAGI 0.01

Asterisk::FastAGI is a Perl module for FastAGI handling. more>>
Asterisk::FastAGI is a Perl module for FastAGI handling.

SYNOPSIS

use base Asterisk::FastAGI;

sub fastagi_handler {
my $self = shift;

my $param = $self->param(foo);
my $callerid = $self->input(calleridname);

$self->agi->say_number(1000);
}

Asterisk::FastAGI provides a preforking daemon for handling FastAGI requests from Asterisk.

Read the Net::Server for more information about the logging facilities, configuration, etc.

USAGE EXAMPLE

First you need a module containing all of your AGI handlers.

package MyAGI;

use base Asterisk::FastAGI;

sub agi_handler {
my $self = shift;
$self->agi->say_number(8675309);
}

Then you simply need to have a script that runs the daemon.

#!/usr/bin/perl
use MyAGI;

MyAGI->run();

When it is run it creates a preforking daemon on port 4573. That is the default port for FastAGI. Read the Net::Server documentation on how to change this and many other options.

Asterisk Manager Suite 0.9.8

Asterisk Manager Suite 0.9.8

Asterisk Manager Suite (AMS) is a collection of software. more>>
Asterisk Manager Suite (AMS) is a collection of software; an abstraction library called Asterisk Manager Interface (AMI), a proxy daemon called Asterisk Manager Proxy (AMP), and a gui client interface called Asterisk Manager Administrator (AMA).
The intention of the software is to make management and administration of the Asterisk Open Source PBX easier. The software is currently targetted at corporate environments with call centers but plans for further expansion exist.
The C library, libami (AMI) is intended to make executing commands through Asterisks Manager Interface easier. The library is used extensively in both AMP and AMA, although you could use it in your own software as well.
The proxy daemon is intended to remedy an outstanding issue with Asterisks Manager Interface: The interface does not deal well with excessive connections. To get around this, a proxy is a suitable solution. As well as simply being a proxy, AMP has other functions as well, including recording statistics and activities of call center agents.
AMA is intended to be a gtk application for monitoring and administrating an Asterisk server. AMA requires AMP for connectivity and has many functions as well as some planned in the future. AMA was first inspired by Asterisks own gastman client, which was well done, but to small to be of any real use to anyone in a corporate environment except perhaps admins.
Enhancements:
- Minor bugfixes dealing with ampd not sending events properly.
