Peachtree Linux is a new Linux distribution being developed by several students/former students at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Since its inception in the fall of 2002, Peachtree Linux has aimed to be a small system for the seasoned Linux user. You wont find GNOME or KDE among Peachtree Linuxs packages, so it might not be the system for you. There are several simple rules we try to follow:
1. No GNOME or KDE.
2. All X11 programs have their binaries, libraries, and headers installed to the /usr/X11R6 tree.
3. All configuration files are placed in /etc.
4. /bin and /lib do not exist, they are soft links to /usr/bin and /usr/lib, respectively.
5. /sbin contains statically compiled programs that can bring a system up from a cold boot, nothing more.
6. We have one program per task. We do not like distributions which offer dozens of MP3 players, or mail clients, or window managers. We do have exceptions to this rule, but we generally stick to it.
Thats more or less the guiding ideas behind the distribution. It is developed in parallel on both PowerPC and i386. Work is being done to port the distribution to Alpha, PA-RISC, and MIPS platforms.
Were not out to change the world with this distribution. We just want to make a system that we like to use. If you like the sound of what were trying to put together, then Peachtree Linux may be for you. If the ideas really dont get you excited, you may want to find another distribution.

Grey Matter is a CGI-based logging application suitable for a variety of purposes, mainly blogging. The project doesnt require a backend database and features a very flexible template system, as well as a karma and comment system.
Enhancements:
- Continuing code refactoring, with small admin UI enhancements such as paging on very long screens.
- Contains security enhancements and bugfixes as well.

Mimas Toolkit is a C++ computer vision toolkit. It is easy to use and includes tools for edge detection, corner detection, various filters, optic flow, tracking, blob analysis, Web cam tools for real-time applications, and much more.
Mimas Toolkit project also includes many implementations of traditional algorithms such as Canny. It was developed for GNU/Linux but as the GUI is largely separate, porting to other platforms should be straightforward.
Mimas was originally conceived as a platform for real-time machine vision research. Its aim was and still is to reduce the turnaround time of new research into the application workspace. It is written in C++ and is released in source code form subject to the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL).
Mimas has been used to build a number of vision systems including for two European Union sponsored projects, namely MINIMAN (completed in 2002) and MiCRoN (expected to complete in the 3rd quarter of 2005). Mimas is also being used to build a number of customised vision solutions for academia and industry. As such, if you do require a vision-based solution then please contact the authors of this software.

Mimas is designed to be platform independent from the ground-up. Hence a user interface is not built-in. Rather Mimas acts as the engine of a vision system. Since it is written in C++, we recommend that you use the GPL-ed version of the cross-platform Qt toolkit or the Mozilla XP toolkit for building user interfaces.

PhareRouge is a GNU/Linux compatible version of the "RedLight Variety Alpha" Japanese-enabled Hotline client and server.

It has a very small performance impact, with the tradeoff of a large memory footprint. It includes a validation test suite to verify correctness of the library. It is tested on a variety of architectures, including Alpha, ARM, HPPA, PPC, ix86, IA64, rs6000, S390, SPARC, and SPARC64.
It is tested on a variety of platforms, including OSF, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, Linux, HP/UX, Mac OSX, AIX, SCO, and Solaris.
Enhancements:
- Some missing backtraces were fixed.
- An atexit replacement was implemented to catch allocations that are freed by previously installed atexit handlers.
- Deeper backtraces are stored, and internal recursions are handled.
