ippfp is an easy-to-use library which provides oo-methods for creating and rendering user interfaces in PHP independently from output format. It features HTML, GTK, PDF and ncurses.
You can create input masks such as forms for databases or other user interfaces. ippfp features abstraction, elements can be accessed like data structures, they have values and various attributes.
For me ippfp is a construction kit to build software quickly.
Another purpose could be the automatically generation by software.
You can select one of these packages to display:

Elements are created with the "create"-functions which are members of the ippfp main instance and returns objects respective to the goal. To make them visible they will be grouped in a "view" which will be given to the ippfp main instance for processing.
This is a flexible way because an existing element can be used in several views. Thus, elements will be included by reference, not by copy. The advantages are: if an element is in a state, it is independent from the current view and related informations are available globally.

Cuiterm is a CUI (Composite User Interface) terminal.
CUI (Composite User Interface) is a compound type of user interface which incorporates the features of the GUI (Graphical User Interface) and the CLI (Command Line Interface) by realizing both interface in one area at the same time.
It is absolutely substantial that the CUI contains GUI elements and control language in the same area of the screen at the same time, so the incorporation is complete. CUI is not an optional, alternatively selectable combination of the two communication method but a truly new approach.
An other relevant feature of the CUI method is that it uses generated commands. When the user activated some GUI part of the user interface an automatically generated command appears to complete the task so the user can observ how the CLI part of the user interface can be used.
The cuiterm is a pilot application for the CUI methodology made to demonstrate the power of the composite user interfaces. As terminals are usually used with some shell to start simple UNIX utility programs, the Cui library can be considered as a composite user interface for the shell and some UNIX utilities. The following screenshot shows the starting screen of the cuiterm.
How to use it?
To test the composite user interface first you have to download the cuiterm and and install it. After the installation is complete the program can be started with the cuiterm command.
When the terminal emulator started it can be used the usual way by typing commands into it. Some programs and some complex commands are interpreted by the terminal and colorized (see the list below). For these commands the screen should have active areas usable with the left mouse button by double clicking on them. The output of some programs have floating menus with context sensitive functions. The menus can be accessed by the right mouse button. Some parts of the screen can be used to fire up a text entry field by holding down the left mouse button.
The following list contains some interpreted and processed commands that are worth trying.

EB-lite is the name of the rewrite that is being developed of the instant messaging client Everybuddy. EB-lite carries many major advances on the current codebase, the biggest of which is that the user interface is not contained in the same process as the core. How would you like to use the same messaging client everywhere - on your desktop, your console, your browser, even your mobile phone?
This is all possible because eb-lite allows interfaces written on any platform, in any language - they do not even have to run on the same machine. Any number of user interfaces can also connect to the same core.
Main features:
- Free software, distributed under the GPL.
- Supports the following IM protocols:
- MSN
- AIM (TOC)
- ICQ (TOC)
- Yahoo
- IRC
- Jabber
- Group chat (IRC, MSN, AIM, ICQ)
- Away messages
- Automatic translation (using Babelfish)
- SOCKS and (to a lesser extent) HTTP proxy support
- Modular structure allows different interfaces to share the same engine (and thus share preferences, contact lists, etc).
- Message queuing (including across UI sessions)
- Cross-platform code. The core is written almost entirely in ANSI C, making it easy to port to different operating systems. Although mainly developed on Linux, it will also build on other Unixes (including Mac OS X) and Windows.
