Simple Flash Menu allows fast constructing nested menus for html pages (like on left side of this page), simply by editing xml file. No, dont afraid, xml knowledge isnt required, look on example and make similar.
This done with macromedia flash, you must place on server flash script which will analyze xml file and draw menus depending on its contest (about 10KB) and xml file or multiple xml files describing your menus. Nothing more must be done.
Now available two versions: one - very small without any decorations, and a bit larger with simple menu decorations. You can choose depending on your needs.
Requirements: any browser with Macromedia Flash Player 5 or Macromdia Flash Player 6 (MX) plugin. Wouldnt work with Flash Player 4 and earliers.
Tested in Internet Explorer 6.0, 6.0 SP1; Mozilla 0.9.8 - 1.2b (aka Netscape 6-7); Netscape 4.78; Opera 6.0 - 6.0.4, 7.0b1 in Linux and Windows enviroments.

FLASH-PLAICE is a powerful in-circuit development tool that combines the features of a flash programmer, an emulator, and a high speed multi-channel logic analyzer into one device. The project runs uClinux.

The logic analyzer features up to 200MHz sampling rates and up to 32 input channels. The logic analyzer Java client features support for up to 200MHz sampling rates, user controlled filtering operations, time line in diagram, metadata (size, rate, and trigger position) stored in files, an ID command for device identification, configurable serial port transfer rate, user configurable drawing modes (logic level, hex value, and scope), and Java client access via almost any PC with a serial port.

The Java client uses the RXTX serial library with support for 34 platforms including Linux, Windows, and Solaris. Java client plugins include an SPI and I2C bus protocol analyzer, timing analysis to state analysis conversion, and post-processing functions.

LCD2USB is a open source/open hardware project. LCD2USB was meant to be cheap and to be made of easily available parts.
It is therefore based on the Atmel AVR Mega8 CPU and does not require any difficult to obtain parts like separate USB controllers and the like. The total cost (without display and pcb) are about 5 to 10 Euros. LCD2USB currently comes with a simple demo application that works under Linux, MacOS X and Windows. LCD2USB makes use of several projects to achieve this goal. LCD2USB is based on:
LCD4LINUX, a great framework to use small LCDs with linux, AVR-USB, a pure software implementation of USB for the AVR plattform, USBtiny, another software usb implementation for the AVR, and Peter Fleurys LCD routines for the AVR.
The hardware of the LCD2USB interface consists of the Atmel AVR Mega8 CPU, a cheap and easy to obtain microcontroller with 8 KBytes flash (of which ~3k are used in this application) and 2 KBytes RAM. The processor is surrounded by few parts, mainly connectors to interface to the PC and the LCD.
A power LED (LED1) indicates that the system is powered via USB. The system clock is derived from a 12Mhz crystal. This frequency is necessary due to the fact that the software USB implementation requires a precise timing with respect to the USB.

pam_usb is a PAM modules that enables either two-factor or password-less authentication using an USB storage device (such as an USB Flash Memory Token).
It can work with any PAM enabled program, such as login, su, gdm/kdm/xdm, xlock...
This is done with a pair of DSA keys, the private one is stored on the device and the public one on the computer.
Whenever a user tries to authenticate, pam_usb will try to find the usb device and will load the private key.
Then it will compute a private/public key signing challenge using the public key contained in the users home directory.
Then, if configured in two-factor mode (additional mode, in the documentation), a password is asked to the user in order to finish the authentication. Otherwise, if configured in password-less mode (alternative / unique in the documentation) it will log in the user without asking any password.
It can also work using any kind of mountable devices such as floppy disks or cd-roms. To improve security, it supports private key encryption and serial number access list.
