This is the IRC gateway for Microsoft(tm) Messenger.

You probably wonder what this is and why I wrote this. Some more information can be found in the DESIGN document that is included in this package.

This software is written by Johannes Verelst and is licensed through the GPL license (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html).

Note that this is pre-alpha code, it probably does a bit that you want, but dont email me bugreports or feature requests. It is under heavy development.

If this program doesnt run try to install corectly all required perl modules yourself.

The idea for this program came when I was getting annoyed by the fact that I had to use different programs for both IRC and MSN. Since I dont know of any good MSN clients that can do IRC too (on unix, ofcourse), I started thinking about the other way around: an IRC client that can do MSN.

When I saw a piece of software written by Adam Swann that allows easy connectivity to MSN with perl, I decided to write an IRC server in perl that would connect to MSN for you. This is the result.

BlogTrader Platform is a free, open source stock technical analysis platform with a pluggable architecture that is ideal for extensions such as indicators and charts. BlogTrader Platform is built on pure java.
It supports parallel quote data retrieval from Yahoo! or ASCII text files, historical, intra-day, and real-time charts, and candle, bar, and line charts. It has a natural date/trading date view model. "MACD", "OBV", "ROC", "KD", "BIAS", "DMI", "RSI", "MTM", and "WMS" indicators and drawing of "Line", "Parallel", "Gann Angle", and "Fibonacci Line" are supported. You can easily write your own indicators.

Whole Platform project is a technology for engineering the production of software.
We think that programming is an activity concerning the development of domain languages; so, we provide a platform for developing new languages, manipulating them using domain notations and transforming them to executable code.
Using the Whole Platform, the problem domain experts can work together with the programming experts for the development of software products.
The Whole Platform includes a modeling framework, a generative system, a family of languages, and domain editors integrated with the Eclipse platform.
The languages boundled with the Platform include popular languages such as Java and XML together with some new domain languages used for modeling the structure, the behavior, the persistence and the notations of a language.
Main features:
Architecture
- Extensible. The architecture provides an API for language extension. You can add/remove languages, notations, persistences and operations.
- Java frameworks and domain languages. All the expressive power of the Whole Platform is available as standard Java frameworks. Part of this expressive power is also available through a family of domain languages.
- Generative. The Whole modeling languages generate code on top of the Java frameworks. Together with the extensive use of wellknown Design Patterns in frameworks, the code generated feels hand written.
Metaprogramming
- Native support. Each Whole language can be used at template level and, if it has an executable semantics, it can be also used at base or host level.
- Staging support for visitors. Staging support is available for behavior defined using the visitors traversal framework.
- Mixing template languages. A single artifacts generator can use multiple template languages.
Persistence
- Stream based persistence. The Persistence syntax of a model is pluggable. Both stream based and model based persistence methods (kits) are supported. The streaming API looks like the building events produced by the Director participant of the Builder Design Pattern.
- Java code and XML default serializers. The standard persistence kits are based on a streaming API and are available in two flavor: Java and XML. The Java code, when executed, fires a stream of building events.
- Stream based behavior. Model behavior can be defined directly on top of the streaming API without prior building of the model.
- Multiple languages support. Programs written using multiple languages are supported even on a single source file.
- Versioning support. Facilities for versioning metamodels and migrate/import existing models are provided.
Editing
- GEF based editors for Eclipse. Model based visual editors for Eclipse can be added to a Whole language even using separate plugins.
- Rich graphical user interfaces. Multiple kinds of notations are supported including grammar layouts for text oriented languages, math layout for mathematical expressions, tree and graph layouts for diagram oriented languages.
- Multiple notations for a language. For each language multiple notations can be defined and deployed in a modular way. The notation can be changed while editing.
- Mixing notations. Multiple notations can be mixed even on a single editor view. This feature is especially useful for metaprogramming using concrete syntaxes for template languages.

Kannel WAP and SMS Gateway project is a WAP and SMS gateway.
SMS, short message services, are widely used all over the world in huge amounts. The main use for Kannel is to link HTTP based services to various SMS centers using obscure protocols.
WAP, short for Wireless Application Protocol, is a collection of languages and tools and an infrastructure for implementing services for mobile phones. Traditionally such services have worked via normal phone calls or short textual messages (e.g., SMS messages in GSM networks). Neither are very efficient to use, nor very user friendly. WAP makes it possible to implement services similar to the World Wide Web.
Unlike marketers claim, WAP does not bring the existing content of the Internet directly to the phone. There are too many technical and other problems for this to ever work properly. The main problem is that Internet content is mainly in the form of HTML pages, and they are written in such a way as to require fast connections, fast processors, large memories, big screens, audio output, and may require fairly efficient input mechanisms. Thats OK, since they hopefully work better for traditional computers and networks that way. However, portable phones have very slow processors, very little memory, abysmal and intermittent bandwidth, little screens and extremely awkward input mechanisms. Most existing HTML pages simply will not work on them.
WAP defines a completely new markup language, the Wireless Markup Language (WML), which is simpler and much more strictly defined than HTML. It also defines a scripting language, WMLScript, which all browsers are required to support. To make things even simpler for the phones, it even defines its own bitmap format (Wireless Bitmap, or WBMP).
HTTP is also too inefficient for wireless use. By using a semantically equivalent, but binary and compressed format it is possible to reduce the protocol overhead to a few bytes per request, instead of up to hundreds of bytes. Thus, WAP defines a new protocol stack to be used. However, to make things simpler also for the people actually implementing the services, WAP introduces a gateway between the phones and the servers providing content to the phones.
The WAP gateway talks to the phone using the WAP protocol stack, and translates the requests it receives to normal HTTP. Thus, the content providers can use any HTTP servers, and can utilize existing know-how about HTTP service implementation and administration.
In addition to protocol translations, the gateway also compresses the WML pages into a more compact form, to save bandwidth on the air and to further reduce the phones processing requirements. It also compiles WMLScript programs into a byte-code format.
Requierments:

- The gnome-xml (a.k.a. libxml) library, version 2.2.0 or newer. We recommend that you use libxml version 2.2.5. If you are installing it from your distributions packages, youll need libxml2-dev in addition to run-time libxml2 package libraries.
- Note: there is a bug in libxml version 2.2.3 and 2.2.4 that causes problems with character encoding in attributes. This problem is fixed in 2.2.5. See http://xmlsoft.org/xml.html.
- GNU Make.
- POSIX threads (pthread.h).
- GNU Bison 1.28 if you modify the WMLScript compiler.
- DocBook markup language tools (jade, jadetex, DocBook style-sheets, etc; see README.docbook), if you want to format the documentation (pre-formatted versions are available).
