pyIrcServer provides a powerful and customizable IRCd.

pyIrcServer is a powerful and very customizable IRCd. Features can be added and removed by changing modules, classes, and utils. The modules expand the classes, and the classes expand the entire IRCd.

The core is very simple, modules are the most important thing because without them the IRCd cant run.

So thereare standard modules inserted in each release and unofficial modules made by users who use this software and want to add their own features.

Sflack Linux is based on Slackware Linux disrtibuition. Sflack Linux is a UNOFFICIAL port of Slackware to the x86_64 architecture. This means is:
- It runs nicer on an amd64;
- It is *not* called Slackware, or any direct derivative;
Do not bug Patrick Volkerding with bug reports. Sflack is not his responsibility.
Sflack isnt a multi-lib distribution, which means that you cannot run 32-bit applications easily.
The Official Release of Sflack Linux by Vincenzo Ingrosso would want to be an advanced Linux operating system, designed with the twin goals of ease of use and stability as top priorities. Including the latest popular software while retaining a sense of tradition, providing simplicity and ease of use alongside flexibility and power, Sflack brings the best of all worlds to the table.
Originally developed by Linus Torvalds in 1991, the UNIX-like Linux operating system now benefits from the contributions of millions of users and developers around the world. Sflack Linux provides new and experienced users alike with a fully-featured system, equipped to serve in any capacity from desktop workstation to machine-room server. A full installation gives you the X Window System, C/C++ development environments, Perl, networking utilities, a mail server, a news server, a web server, an ftp server, the GNU Image Manipulation Program, Firefox Web Browser, plus many more programs. Sflack Linux can run on amd64 systems all the way up to the latest x86_64 machines (uses -m64 optimization for best performance on amd64-class machines).
Enhancements:

GroupSTAT 0.12.1

GroupSTAT 0.12.1

GroupSTAT generates statistics from a local Usenet news spool. more>>
GroupSTAT generates statistics from a local Usenet news spool.
Recently, I seem to have become the unofficial stats maintainer for rec.arts.drwho. The program that I have been using to generate these stats, StatNews, was inadequate for the job. I thought about making a few alterations to it and sending a patch to the maintainer (Davide Salvetti), but after looking over the source code to StatNews, I decided that it would be easier to start over and do a complete re-write, using StatNewss source as a cheat-sheet for certain aspects of the project.

So, I set about writing this new program. I did a little research, and found the News::Scan Perl module (available on CPAN or from the authors website. The News::Scan module allowed me to write a program to get the stats without having to actually look at any news articles. This made my job a lot easier.

I have tried to make GroupSTAT as portable as possible. This program has been (for the most part) designed and tested under Debian GNU/Linux woody, and may not work on other platforms. This should be considered a bug; if you have problems getting it to work on your flavor of Unix, please tell me.

@list = $imap->list("user.bob");
@list = $imap->list("user.b*");

$imap->{Capability} # this contains the Capabilities reply from the IMAP server

$imap->close; # close open imap connection

IMAP::Admin provides basic IMAP server adminstration. It provides functions for creating and deleting mailboxes and setting various information such as quotas and access rights.

Its interface should, in theory, work with any RFC compliant IMAP server, but I currently have only tested it against Carnegie Mellon Universitys Cyrus IMAP and Mirapoints IMAP servers. It does a CAPABILITY check for specific extensions to see if they are supported.

Operationally it opens a socket connection to the IMAP server and logs in with the supplied login and password. You then can call any of the functions to perform their associated operation.

Separator on the new call is the hiearchical separator used by the imap server. It is defaulted to a period ("/" might be another popular one).

CRAM on the new call will attempt to use CRAM-MD5 as the login type of choice. A value of 0 means off, 1 means on, 2 means on with fallback to login. *Note* this options requires these perl modules: Digest::MD5, Digest::HMAC, MIME::Base64

SSL on the new call will attempt to make an SSL connection to the imap server. It does not fallback to a regular connection if it fails. It is off by default. IO::Socket::SSL requires a ca certificate, a client certificate, and a client private key. By default these are in current_directory/certs, respectively named ca-cert.pem, client-cert.pem, and client-key.pem. The location of this can be overridden by setting SSL_ca_file, SSL_cert_file, and SSL_key_file (youll probably want to also set SSL_ca_path).

I generated my ca cert and ca key with openssl: openssl req -x509 -newkey rsa:1024 -keyout ca-key.pem -out ca-cert.pem
I generated my client key and cert with openssl: openssl req -new -newkey rsa:1024 -keyout client-key.pem -out req.pem -nodes openssl x509 -CA ca-cert.pem -CAkey ca-key.pem -req -in req.pem -out client-cert.pem -addtrust clientAuth -days 600

Setting up SSL Cyrus IMAP v 2.x (completely unofficial, but it worked for me) add these to your /etc/imapd.conf (remember to change /usr/local/cyrus/tls to wherever yours is) tls_ca_path: /usr/local/cyrus/tls tls_ca_file: /usr/local/cyrus/tls/ca-cert.pem tls_key_file: /usr/local/cyrus/tls/serv-key.pem tls_cert_file: /usr/local/cyrus/tls/serv-cert.pem
For my server key I used a self signed certificate: openssl req -x509 -newkey rsa:1024 -keyout serv-key.pem -out serv-cert.pem -nodes -extensions usr_cert (in openssl.cnf I have nsCertType set to server)
I also added this to my /etc/cyrus.conf, it shouldnt strictly be necessary as clients that are RFC2595 compliant can issue a STARTTLS to initiate the secure layer, but currently IMAP::Admin doesnt issue this command (in SERVICES section): imap2 cmd="imapd -s" listen="simap" prefork=0
where simap in /etc/services is: simap 993/tcp # IMAP over SSL

LDView 3.1

LDView 3.1

LDView is a real-time 3D viewer for displaying LDraw models using hardware-accelerated 3D graphics. more>>
LDView project is a real-time 3D viewer that can display LDraw models using hardware-accelerated 3D graphics. It was written using OpenGL, so should be accellerated on any video card which provides full OpenGL 3D accelleration (so-called mini-drivers are not likely to work).
It should also work on other video cards using OpenGL software rendering, albeit at a much slower speed.
Main features:
- Ability to examine LDraw models from any angle in real time.
- Primitive substitution option which produces higher-quality results while simultaneously improving performance.
- Supports fullscreen rendering at any resolution supported by your monitor and video card. Note that this has been reported to not work on Voodoo1/Voodoo2 video cards (which unfortunately are the most in need). It has been reported to work on Voodoo3 cards, though.
- Cut-away feature which allows you to look inside models.
- Transparent pieces can be displayed using alpha blending.
- Specular highlight option to draw models with a shiny look, so they look more like real LEGO.
- Ability to use Type 5 line information in LDraw files to smooth shade curved surfaces.
- Printing support, to print the model using the current viewing angle.
- Ability to take a PNG or BMP snapshot of the model using the current viewing angle.
- "Cross-eyed" and "Wall-eyed" stereoscopic support, for those people who can focus on their monitor while crossing their eyes or staring off into the distance.
- Native support for Full-Scene Antialiasing on video cards that support this via an OpenGL extension.
- Lots of other options, to give you control over how the rendering looks.
Enhancements:
- Download and installation of the LDraw parts library was automated.
- So if you install and run LDView on a clean machine, it will do all the work of getting the latest version of the LDraw parts library installed for you.
- If you already have the LDraw parts library, you can still continue to use the one you already have with this version.
- Updating of the LDraw parts library was automated.
- Automatic searching is done for unofficial parts in the LDraw parts tracker when a file cannot be found locally.
- The ability to generate a POV-Ray compatible camera statement based on the current view in LDView was added.
