Sound Studio is a Tcl/Tk application written by Paul Sharpe as his third year individual project, for which he received the Microsoft Prize for Software Engineering. It was subsequently improved by Robin Whitehead.

It enables recording, playback and simple cut & paste editing of sound files of diverse formats on a PC equipped with a soundcard and the OSS (formally VoxWare) sound drivers.

It uses Lance Norskogs Sox for format conversion; the version weve used is bundled together with this software in its entirety to prevent incompatibility problems, although you should try it with your own sox if you have a more recent one.

Sound Studio is now "finished", but no doubt there are loads of bugs still to be found and features to be added.

Universal Module Player or UModPlayer, is a audio module "tool-chain", providing you functions to work with modules like playing, exporting, getting information, and more.
Universal Module Player works in UNIX-like platforms, including Linux, Mac OS X, FreeBSD, Solaris...
It uses the Custom LibModPlug audio library, an improved version of the well-known LibModPlug library, supporting more than 20 formats and giving you high playing quality. It uses LibSDL to handle multiplatform sound support.
Main features:
- You can play the supported formats and seek to any order in the song. You have pause, timer, display, and other standard features.
- You can view the pattern notes while playing.
- You can specify noise reduction, megabass, surround, reverb sound options specifying the grade and the delay of most of the options.
- You can create, save and edit playlists to play a selection of modules.
- You can read and export to a file the song builtin message, the song instrument names and the song sample names.
- Each user of your UNIX box can save all the sound options.
- And much more!

Enhancements:
- Buffer length fixes.
- Playlist commands were a pain. Now we use the first letter of the command name. Also, pressing ENTER does not quit, the user has to explicitly specify to quit pressing q

UNIVERSAL::derived_classes provides the following methods:

Where

REVERSED

is the flag to reverse classes

When used as a class method (CLASS->derived_classes(REVERSED)), derived_classes returns derived classes of the CLASS.

When used as an instance method ($obj->derived_classes(REVERSED)), derived_classes returns derived classes of a class where $obj is blessed.

If the REVERSED flag is true then reversed derived classes are returned.

Firefox Universal Uploader is a Firefox extension that allows you to upload/download files from any website using a friendly interface. Upload files/photos/videos to Flickr, Picasa, Youtube, Box.net(1GB of free space) are Facebook in this version. Next versions would support other websites like Google Videos, Webshots etc.
Thumbnail view of local and remote files will be given in the next version. You can add multiple files to the queue at a time. Extension will take care of uploading them for you.
Main features:
- It shows the local folders and remote folders which enables you to upload files by single click.
- You can upload any number of files at a time.
- You can upload files to multiple websites using a single interface (using only one extension).
- Ability to add multiple accounts and upload files to each account independently.
- Site specific features are also included and will be improved in the coming versions. eg. Box.net: giving public/private access to files.

Monkey Studio is a Free crossplatform Qt 4 IDE.
The current major version is 1.x.x. The team is working on the next V2 witch will add some new features like complete designer integration, class viewer, abstract debuger support as well as abstract compiler(s)!
This Project is the first and so the oldest one building an Integrated Development Environment for Qt 4. Always copied, always concurrenced, but Monkey Studio is still there!
The project has been started by Azevedo Filipe aka Nox P@sNox. He developed it for his own needs and released the first version to the public around end of June 2005.
Monkey Studio is a cross platform Qt 4 IDE that allow developers creating Qt 4 applications the same way on all platforms that Qt 4 suports. It only use pro files to manage your projects and is ready to go! Monkey Studio is developed using Qt 4 Open Source.

Linux X10 universal device driver (also known as Project WiSH) provides a /dev interface to an X10 network through a combination of Linux kernel modules and daemons.
It is intended to provide a standard interface and syntax to shell script utilities (such as cat and echo), Perl scripts, C programs, or Java programs so that everything from a quick hack to a more advanced program can manipulate the X10 devices in an automated home regardless of the transceiver used.
Its simplest use is with shell scripts (examples of which are provided in the package). Currently the project supports the 3 X10 transceivers (PowerLinc Serial, PowerLinc USB, and CM11A).

- Simpler compilation and installation method

PXES project is a micro Linux thin client distribution. PXES will boot a real thin client or will help to convert in minutes any compliant hardware (see list bellow) into a versatile thin client.
They will be capable of accessing any XDM server presenting the graphical login screen or any Microsoft Terminal Server through RDP protocol. The actual configuration of clients is made with an easy to use graphical configuration tool, allowing the specification of clients parameters or the server to access to.
You can recover hardware that is useless running current desktop OS or office package and give it a second chance. This thin client boots from the network with PXE (Intel Pre-Execution Environment specifications) so neither boot diskette nor boot eprom is needed.
The linux kernel and an initial root filesystem is transmitted over the network (the compressed size as of version 0.4 is about 4M).

Aqua Data Studio program is a database query tool and administration tool that allows developers to easily create, edit, and execute SQL scripts, as well as browse and visually modify database structures.
Aqua Data Studio provides an integrated database environment with a single consistent interface to all major relational databases. This allows the database administrator or developer to tackle multiple tasks simultaneously from one application.

Query Analyzer/Window
- Aqua Data Studios sophisticated Query Analyzer allows users to work on database scripts with specific RDBMS syntax highlighting and auto-completion to develop and test SQL scripts. Other features to speed up development include SQL automation, auto-describe and sortable multi-grid results. The query analyzer also provides client side variable binding, allowing a user to execute stored procedures or functions with local variables binded to receive out parameters. The query window also provides two modes of operation, using a SplitPane View or a MultiTab View for the editor and the query results.
Schema Browser & Visual Editing
- Its graphical browsing capabilities allow you to understand the structure and dependencies of the database schema with a single mouse click. The schema browser also allows you to visually edit any schema object with a graphical design form to CREATE, ALTER or DROP the object. Visual editing supports Tables, Indexes, Procedures, Data Types and other schema objects. The visual editors also provides an SQL preview of all the commands to be executed to commit the operation.
Schema Extraction & DDL Scripting
- Its graphical browsing allows you to extract the structure definition of all schema objects and to script the SQL DDL and DML (eg CREATE, ALTER, DROP, SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE) syntax for database schema objects (including Tables, Views, Triggers, Stored Procedures and Functions).
Table Data Editor
- A powerful Table Data Editor allows you to modify your results graphically and save them. By writing a single table SELECT statement in the Query Analyzer and clicking on the Execute Edit button, a separate window is opened with the query results for you to edit and save. You may also browser to a table in the schema browser and select the Edit Table from the popup menu to edit the first 1000 records in a table.

- Enhancements in this release include OS X Integration, Windows integration, complete and customizable keymapping, a schema difference tool, a directory difference tool, a file difference tool, a tab difference tool, a copy history difference tool, SQL Server DBA tools, and Sybase DBA tools.
