Sound Studio 1.0.6
Sound Studio is a Sound Editing Tool. more>>
Sound Studio is a Tcl/Tk application written by Paul Sharpe as his third year individual project, for which he received the Microsoft Prize for Software Engineering. It was subsequently improved by Robin Whitehead.
It enables recording, playback and simple cut & paste editing of sound files of diverse formats on a PC equipped with a soundcard and the OSS (formally VoxWare) sound drivers.
It uses Lance Norskogs Sox for format conversion; the version weve used is bundled together with this software in its entirety to prevent incompatibility problems, although you should try it with your own sox if you have a more recent one.
Sound Studio is now "finished", but no doubt there are loads of bugs still to be found and features to be added.

package A;
package B;
@ISA = qw( A );
package C;
@ISA = qw( B );
package main;
my @derived_classes = A->derived_classes; # B, C
my @derived_classes_reversed = A->derived_classes_reversed; # C, B
UNIVERSAL::derived_classes provides the following methods:
CLASS->derived_classes(REVERSED)
$obj->derived_classes(REVERSED)
Where
REVERSED
is the flag to reverse classes
When used as a class method (CLASS->derived_classes(REVERSED)), derived_classes returns derived classes of the CLASS.
When used as an instance method ($obj->derived_classes(REVERSED)), derived_classes returns derived classes of a class where $obj is blessed.
If the REVERSED flag is true then reversed derived classes are returned.

64 Studio 2.0
64 Studio is developing a collection of software for digital content creation on x86_64 hardware. more>>
64 Studio is developing a collection of software for digital content creation on x86_64 hardware (thats AMDs 64-bit CPUs and Intels EM64T chips).
Its based on the pure 64 port of Debian GNU/Linux, but with a specialised package selection and lots of other customisations.
64 Studio has Debian Pure 64 with X.org, the Gnome desktop, kernel 2.6.12 with realtime preemption patches and a selection of creative applications. Please note that this release is provided for testing only, and comes with no warranty.
Problems in this release include useful packages missing or not installed by default, confusing Gnome menus and assorted warnings during installation. There are probably plenty of other things wrong with it as well, which is why were calling this an alpha release. But it does actually install and run on our Opteron and Athlon 64 test hardware.
Anyone who is interested in getting involved with the 64 Studio project would be most welcome. Our aim is to create a distribution with full (but completely optional) commercial support, which will generate revenue to pay free software developers.
Enhancements:
- 64 Studio 2.0 is designed to retain compatibility with Debian Etch, to create a long-lived and stable creative desktop. We combine the stability and quality of Etch with a specialised real-time preemption kernel and the latest creative tools demanded by multimedia artists. Our tweaks to Debian include simplified installation and default settings which help get production underway quickly. Its our target that users should be able to get from a blank hard disc to a fully hardware-optimised and usable creative desktop in just half an hour.

Extended Universal Resource Library 0.2
Extended Universal Resource Library is a pure Java library for cleaner, more flexible file access in Java. more>>
Extended Universal Resource Library is a pure Java library for cleaner, more flexible file access in Java.
How data is stored is completely transparent to the client, since the library is meant to replace java.io.File.
It provides implementations for handling local files, Jar/Zip archives, and XML documents. (Implementations for CVS and FTP are available seperately.) Other storage providers can be written and plugged in.
It also provides a merged filesystem implementation that allows multiple hierarchies to appear as one and to override each other in a controlled way. Other features include notification of changes to files, and support for attaching (dynamically updatable) actions to file objects.
Filesystems are an abstraction on top of java.io.File (in the case of local files), that provide a number of useful things:
- File storage is completely abstracted - third parties can create support for access to file-like objects stored in an arbitrary manner, such as in a database, or in a version control system.
- Built-in support for ZIP/JAR archives and XML-based filesystems and the ability to transparently use other filesystems supported by NetBeans (such as the FTP filesystem) by adding the necessary classes
- Supports listening for change events if a file is externally modified
- Ability to add arbitrary "status" data to a file object and be notified of changes on it
- Support for actions on file objects, allowing you to define what actions are possible on a given file (and dynamically update these), and then expose those actions through your user interface.

Linux X10 universal device driver 2.1.4
Linux X10 universal device driver provides a /dev interface to an X10 network through some Linux kernel modules and daemons. more>>
Linux X10 universal device driver (also known as Project WiSH) provides a /dev interface to an X10 network through a combination of Linux kernel modules and daemons.
It is intended to provide a standard interface and syntax to shell script utilities (such as cat and echo), Perl scripts, C programs, or Java programs so that everything from a quick hack to a more advanced program can manipulate the X10 devices in an automated home regardless of the transceiver used.
Its simplest use is with shell scripts (examples of which are provided in the package). Currently the project supports the 3 X10 transceivers (PowerLinc Serial, PowerLinc USB, and CM11A).
Main features:
- Full /dev/x10 capability with enhancements for non-blocking writes
- Full support for PowerLinc Serial transceiver
- Full support for CM11A Serial transceiver
- Full support for PowerLinc USB transceiver (with kernel patches for USB)
Enhancements:
- X10 state machine simulator runs in userspace
- Kernel module maintains status of individual devices and implements API only
- non-blocking writes (by popular demand) so commands can be queued up in rapid succession
- PowerLinc USB now uses HID interface
- Version 2.0 drivers work with kernel 2.6.7 and higher and with kernel version 2.4.0 (the PowerLinc USB will not work with kernel 2.4 due to lack of support for multibyte messages in the USB subsystem of the kernel. If you require the PowerLinc USB and kernel 2.4, use wish-1.6.10. )
- Simpler compilation and installation method

Quite Universal Circuit Simulator 0.0.12
Quite Universal Circuit Simulator is a circuit simulator with graphical user interface (GUI). more>>
Quite Universal Circuit Simulator (Qucs) is an integrated circuit simulator which means you are able to setup a circuit with a graphical user interface (GUI) and simulate the large-signal, small-signal and noise behaviour of the circuit. After that simulation has finished you can view the simulation results on a presentation page or window.
The software aims to support all kinds of circuit simulation types, e.g. DC, AC, S-parameter, Harmonic Balance analysis, noise analysis, etc.
Qucsator, the simulation backend, is a command line circuit simulator. It takes a network list in a certain format as input and outputs a Qucs dataset.
Whats New in This Release:
The new release comes with a new translation into Ukrainian, a selectable preprocessor in the SPICE file component and two new components, i.e. an exponential voltage and current source. Libraries
can now contain analogue as well as digital subcircuits. Analogue modelling is substantially strengthened by symbolically defined devices. And last but not least pure digital simulations can be also performed by Verilog-HDL as an alternative to VHDL.
In the simulation backend the equation defined devices (EDD) have been implemented as well as the two new signal sources. Also the list of
available functions in the equation solver has been extended to support vt(), hypot(), limexp(), arcsec(), arccosec(), arsech() and arcosech(). Furthermore logical and rational operators as well as the ternary ?: construct can be used in equations.

Syntax::Highlight::Universal is a Perl module for syntax highlighting based on the Colorer library.
SYNOPSIS
use Syntax::Highlight::Universal;
my $highlighter = Syntax::Highlight::Universal->new;
$highlighter->addConfig("hrc/proto.hrc");
$highlighter->setPrecompiledConfig("precompiled.hrcc");
$highlighter->setCacheDir("/tmp/highlighter");
$highlighter->setCachePrefixLen(2);
my $result = $highlighter->highlight("perl", "print Hello, World!");
my $callbacks = {
initParsing => &myInitHandler,
addRegion => &myRegionHandler,
enterScheme => &mySchemeStartHandler,
leaveScheme => &mySchemeEndHandler,
finalizeParsing => &myFinalizeHandler,
};
$highlighter->highlight("perl", "print Hello, World!", $callbacks);
$highlighter->precompile("precompiled.hrcc");
ABSTRACT
This module can process text of any format and produce a syntax highlighted version of it. The default output format is (X)HTML, custom formats are also possible. It uses parts of the Colorer library (http://colorer.sf.net/) and supports its HRC configuration files (http://colorer.sf.net/hrc-ref/). Configuration files for about 100 file formats are included.

Aqua Data Studio 6.0.10
Aqua Data Studio is a database query tool and administration tool that allows developers to easily create, edit, and execute SQL more>>
Aqua Data Studio program is a database query tool and administration tool that allows developers to easily create, edit, and execute SQL scripts, as well as browse and visually modify database structures.
Aqua Data Studio provides an integrated database environment with a single consistent interface to all major relational databases. This allows the database administrator or developer to tackle multiple tasks simultaneously from one application.
Main features:
Query Analyzer/Window
- Aqua Data Studios sophisticated Query Analyzer allows users to work on database scripts with specific RDBMS syntax highlighting and auto-completion to develop and test SQL scripts. Other features to speed up development include SQL automation, auto-describe and sortable multi-grid results. The query analyzer also provides client side variable binding, allowing a user to execute stored procedures or functions with local variables binded to receive out parameters. The query window also provides two modes of operation, using a SplitPane View or a MultiTab View for the editor and the query results.
Schema Browser & Visual Editing
- Its graphical browsing capabilities allow you to understand the structure and dependencies of the database schema with a single mouse click. The schema browser also allows you to visually edit any schema object with a graphical design form to CREATE, ALTER or DROP the object. Visual editing supports Tables, Indexes, Procedures, Data Types and other schema objects. The visual editors also provides an SQL preview of all the commands to be executed to commit the operation.
Schema Extraction & DDL Scripting
- Its graphical browsing allows you to extract the structure definition of all schema objects and to script the SQL DDL and DML (eg CREATE, ALTER, DROP, SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE) syntax for database schema objects (including Tables, Views, Triggers, Stored Procedures and Functions).
Table Data Editor
- A powerful Table Data Editor allows you to modify your results graphically and save them. By writing a single table SELECT statement in the Query Analyzer and clicking on the Execute Edit button, a separate window is opened with the query results for you to edit and save. You may also browser to a table in the schema browser and select the Edit Table from the popup menu to edit the first 1000 records in a table.
Enhancements:
- Enhancements in this release include OS X Integration, Windows integration, complete and customizable keymapping, a schema difference tool, a directory difference tool, a file difference tool, a tab difference tool, a copy history difference tool, SQL Server DBA tools, and Sybase DBA tools.
- In total, there were over 100 new features.
