gtuner is a GTK+/GNOME radio controller.
Main features:
- Nice X windows gui using gtk
- Gui configurable via a scripting language which enables any combination of windows and widgets to be created.
- The program aims to be fully gui configurable, which means no editing of config files. Just point and click. (Not complete)
- Each device is actually a plugin that can be run time loaded and unloaded. You can therefore switch between cards without restarting.
- A control plugin interface with which you can write plugins to control gtuner.
- An almost unlimited number of channel presets are supported. (only first 999 can be used in the alarm though :-)
- A 7 day configurable alarm that can turn on any station you like on any day at any time.

Quadromania project is a board game written in C with SDL.

Your task is to restore the originating board filled with red stones. The computer will pick a named amount of 3x3 tile sets and will flip the colours of the selected tiles.

This means a red tile will become green, a green one the next colour in the amount of colours, red again in the simplest case. You select the amount of colours to use and the amount of initial rotations.

In the running game click on the center point of a 3x3 tile set to exchange that selected set following the rules above. Restore the board full of red stones before you reach the limit of maximum turns.

Quadromania is a work in progress. I currently lack the time to do a decent development on it. However the current alpha release is somewhat playable and working.

Cajun turns your computer into a car audio device.It can supports mp3s, CD audio, Icecast/Shoutcast, LCD/LFD display, keypad or infra-red input. Supports multiple audio streams, multiple input devices, and multiple displays (each their own size).
Main features:
- Multi-device support, including: multiple input devices and multiple output devices (displays). Both the front seats and passengers in your minivan can see whats playing on their own display. All displays are updated at the same time.
- Supports displays of varying sizes, all at the same time.
- Display content is completely customizable. Different-sized displays can display different data.
- Input and output devices may be connected and disconnected at any time. CAJUN continues to run.
- Supports keypads, infra-red remote controls, LCD/VFD displays, FM cards, CD players, MPEG audio files, Ogg/Vorbis, Shoutcast/Icecast streams, GPS devices, etc.
- Easy-to-use, documented Perl API for writing new drivers.

XScreensaver program waits until the keyboard and mouse have been idle for a period, and then runs a graphics demo chosen at random. XScreenSaver turns off as soon as there is any mouse or keyboard activity.
It can also lock the screen (immediately, after a longer idle period, or on demand.) xscreensaver consists of two parts: xscreensaver itself (the ``driver or ``daemon), which detects idleness and does locking; and the many graphics demos that are launched by xscreensaver.
Any X program that can draw on the root window can be used with xscreensaver, regardless of how that program is written, or what language it is written in, or what libraries it uses. The xscreensaver daemon takes care of detecting when the user is idle, locking, and checking passwords and all the other book-keeping; all the other programs need to do is draw.
The benefit that xscreensaver has over the combination of the xlock and xautolock programs is the ease with which new graphics hacks can be installed. You dont need to recompile (or even re-run) the xscreensaver program to add a new display mode, you just change a config file.
Enhancements:
- New cwaves, glcells, m6502, and voronoi hacks were added.
- Updates were made to bsod and webcollage.
- A possible crash with PAM USB dongle authentication was fixed.

Powernap is a small Python extension for accurate sleeping. Pythons time.sleep() function is fairly inaccurate. It is definitely not accurate enough for music, games, or graphics. powernap can sleep too long or too short, and usually does.
Using Linuxs real-time clock (RTC) allows for more accurate timing. This extension wraps all the messy RTC stuff and provides nap(), which performs the same job as sleep(), but more accurately.
Even more usefully, it provides rnap(), which is a padding nap. That is, if you call rnap(30), it will nap for however many milliseconds are required to make the time since the last nap 30 milliseconds. rtc_on() sets up the real-time clock, and rtc_off() turns it off. It also switches the scheduler to SCHED_FIFO.
Enhancements:
- This is the second public release.
- Most of the timing was moved into the C extension.
- rnap(), the rolling padding nap, is provided.

Fox Hunt project is a logic game written in Java.

It was inspired by the sports competition of the same name. In that competition, participants run in the forest equipped with small radio locators, seeking small hidden radio wave emitters called "foxes".

In Fox Hunt you are one of such participants armed with advanced locator which can scan full horizontal, vertical, and both diagonal directions and report the number of foxes "visible" at all these directions.

Whats New in This Release:

This release features minor design changes and two helper options (both options will cost the player a half of his/her score): "Autodecrement fox scanners" turns off every fox found, so on the opened locations player will always see the number of active foxes only. "Automark empty locations" marks locations without foxes after every turn (according to currently opened locations).

IRC-Chess project is a 2-player chess game for IRC which turns a computer into an IRC chess bot.

It consists of a Java chess server, with frontend scripts to convert an IRC client into a chess bot. Players then communicate with the bot using standard IRC commands, and dont require any special software to play.

Frontend scripts are available for IRSSI and X-Chat.

The client is merely responsible for interpreting this data and displaying it. In this way, porting the system to a variety of IRC clients is very simple, since
the client script will be short, and effectively contain no code specific to the game being played.

In other words, the Java part is smart. The script is dumb and is just there to make things look pretty.

This idea works. Currently, client scripts have been designed for RSSI and XChat. Since both these programs use Perl for scripting, the scripts are practically identical, with a few client specific modifications.

Porting this script to other IRC clients shouldnt be too much of a hassle, since its just the frontend thats ported, not the chess game itself. Anyone wanting to create frontend scripts for other IRC clients, please feel free to do so.

The PROTOCOL file describes exactly what needs to be done.

VidTorrent is a protocol for global scale cooperative real-time streaming over the Internet. At a high level, VidTorrent is a peer-to-peer protocol that builds an adaptive overlay mesh suitable for real-time streaming.

The protocol works by aggressively probing for bandwidth and minimizing latency. On the same time, the protocol continuously monitors and dynamically adapts the mesh to match the underlaying network topology and node capabilities.

VidTorrent is more than just a protocol from an end users perspective. VidTorrentLive provides application infrastructre for fostering communities around real-time media, similar to what BitTorrent? does for the file sharing community and Skype for internet telephony users all over the world.

In one such application, XPat-TV, we are experimenting with forming social groups within expatriate communities. These groups are created by VidTorrent co-casters, sharing live TV broadcasts from their home country.
