OpenDocument Text Library 0.0.1

OpenDocument Text Library 0.0.1

OpenDocument Text Library for creating OpenDocument text files. more>>
There are some interesting projects (OpenDocumentPHP, OpenDocument Fellowship) around the creation of OpenDocument Text from a Web-application.

Thus far none of these projects yielded a result to create an OpenDocument Text. Therefore - and inspired by an article in the German cumuter magasin ct - I desiced to implement a libary that takes a template document and adds some to it.

XML From Plain Text (xfpt) is a program that reads a file of plain text that contains relatively simple markup, and outputs an XML file. It is intended to simplify the management of XML data.
The project is not a program that attempts to turn a plain text document into XML. Markup within text is introduced by ampersand characters, but is otherwise "soft". You can define what follows the ampersand, for example, &" to generate a "quote" element. There is also a macro facility that allows for higher level concepts such as chapters, displays, tables, etc.
Enhancements:
- The macro library has been extended to include preface, appendix, colophon, footnote, figure, and table.
- The program has one new directive to enable it to handle "nested" sections such as footnotes.

Multiple Time Sheets 4

Multiple Time Sheets is a simple tool to help you keep track of how many hours you work and for whom. more>>
Multiple Time Sheets is a simple tool to help you keep track of how many hours you work and for whom.
It differs from most time-tracking software because its designed to work like paper that magically totals up hours.
Main features:
- Uses text files, requiring no database.
- Supports only one user per app, for simpler code.
- Sends and tracks invoices, and payments thereof.
- Features a rudimentary to-do list that displays your list as an outline.
- Sends you a backup of your data automatically.
- Assume the user prefers free-form data entry in text files rather than typing into forms.
- Uses the htmlMimeMail.php class by Richard Heye (phpguru.org).
- CSV and OPML exports of some data.
- Automatic hyperlinking from MTS to your favorite web-based software.
Enhancements:
- This release added a feature that replaces text patterns with links so that strings like "Bug 10" can link to a bug tracking application.
- CSV export was added for the timesheet along with OPML export for the to-do list.

Parse::RecDescent::FAQ 5.02

Parse::RecDescent::FAQ 5.02

Parse::RecDescent::FAQ is the official, authorized FAQ for Parse::RecDescent. more>>
Parse::RecDescent::FAQ is the official, authorized FAQ for Parse::RecDescent.

OVERVIEW-TYPE QUESTIONS

Is Parse::RecDescent LL(1)? LL(N)? LR(1)? LR(N)?

Answer by Yves Orton:

I have a data structure which is

a hash of entries where an entry is a list/array of sets

I have also a grammar that can parse the syntax of the text files that contain the data I want to fill this structure with. Until here everything is ok.

Problem: I cannot figure out how to actually FILL the parsed data into the structure. I can only decide if a string is grammatically correct or not.

Also see the "Left-recursion" section under "PARSER BEHAVIOR"

DEBUGGING

Flags you can set

Paraphrased from Yves Orton:

To understand more about why your parser is not behaving as it should take advantage of the follow variables:

$::RD_ERRORS # unless undefined, report fatal errors
$::RD_WARN # unless undefined, also report non-fatal problems
$::RD_HINT # if defined, also suggestion remedies
$::RD_TRACE # if defined, also trace parsers behaviour

Making warning line numbers correspond to your grammar

How do I match the line numbers with the actual contents of my script?

At present, you cant (but thats on the ToDo list). Setting $::RD_TRACE can be useful though:

Once youve run with $RD_TRACE, do this:

perl -w RD_TRACE

Then go and examine the actual line numbers given for the error in the file RD_TRACE.

That will show you the actual generated code thats the problem.

That code will, in turn, give you a hint where the problem is in the grammar (e.g. find out which subroutine its in, which will tell you the name of the offending rule).

Joel Dares Dynamo 0.0.2

Joel Dares Dynamo is a PHP library that executes complex MySQL queries and automatically generates HTML code. more>>
Joel Dares Dynamo is a PHP library that executes complex MySQL queries and automatically generates HTML code.
For example, it can draw a spreadsheet-like table from a simple query such as "SELECT last, first, phone FROM users". It can generate horizontal tables, vertical tables, multi-column tables from a single column result, and it even generates simple HTML forms based on a select query.
For example, "SELECT firstName, lastName FROM cust WHERE id = 1234" automatically creates an HTML form that contains fields for firstName and LastName.
Enhancements:
- This version adds the DynamoColTableQuery() function, which generates multi-column tables from a single column query.
