K3Guitune is a program that lets you tune a musical instrument using your computer and its microphone.
KGuitune project takes the microphone input, determines its frequency, and displays where on the note scale that is using an oscilloscope and a note scale graphic. K3Guitune supports three different tunings: normal, Wien and physical.
Its a port to KDE 3 of the K2Guitune program by Florian Berger. It is not likely to run out of the box on other systems than Linux, but porting should be easy. K3Guitune has been translated into Dutch and German.
Enhancements:
- K3Guitune now uses auto-correlation for frequency determination, which gives much more accurate results.

tuneroid is a tuner for variety of musical instruments. It is designed to tune musical instruments on PC using a microphone or directly connecting the instrument to the PCs sound card.

Pitchtune (Precise Instrument Tweaking for Crispy Harmony tuner) is an oscilloscope-style musical instrument tuning program.
It can also be used to find the frequency of sounds. Pitchtune uses the GTK+ toolkit.

- ALSA support (capture and playback).
- OSS support deprecated (still present but weak).
- Ported to GTK2.
- Added note playback support (ALSA only), so you hear what you tune.
- Added note up/down buttons.
- Added shortcuts for octave up/down and note up/down buttons.

TinySID project is the smallest SID player available. Its most advantage lies in its unique HardSID support, that is:
- exact C64 PC cycle syncronizing
- multispeed tunes will use the same timing a real C64 does
- improved HardSID sample output (includes mixer)
- support for multiprocessor systems
- Previous versions required just 20kbyte disk space. This was however skipped due to 64bit support.

Please note that TinySID has nothing to do with other projects such as SIDPlay. The 6510/6581 emulation is based on routines by Tammo Hinrichs (kb) and has been further developed.
Enhancements:
- This release added support for multi-speed tunes and digi-playback.
- Bugs in CPU emulation and endian neutral code were fixed.
- Speedups were achieved in the synth renderer.

Soundspigot is a sound playing program for attractions and halloween haunts.
Soundspigot project is designed for playing short samples triggered by switches connected to the PCs parallel port.
Several other triggering modes are available.
Main features:
- Plays sounds from RAM, so it reacts quickly to triggers.
- Can play sounds:
- in response to parallel port triggers
- in response to network messages
- at timed intervals
- randomly
- looping
- Automatically re-reads config file whenever its modified, allowing quick fine-tuning with a text editor.
- Mixes sounds that are configured for the same output channel.

inSAP is a XMMS input plugin based on libSap.

SAP Library is a software emulation of CPU 6502 microprocessor and Pokey chip.
Those two chips are used in Atari XL/XE computers.

SAP Library is used to run programs written in 6502 machine language, programs that are using Pokey chip to play tunes and sounds.

TAU (Tuning and Analysis Utilities) is a program and performance analysis tool framework for high-performance parallel and distributed computing.
TAU provides a suite of tools for static and dynamic analysis of programs written in C, C++, FORTRAN 77/90, Python, High Performance FORTRAN, and Java.
In particular, TAU offers a state-of-the-art performance profiling and tracing facility that supports a general scalable parallel execution model based on nodes, contexts, and threads.
The goal of the TAU project is to develop program and performance analysis technology that meets both the challenges of evolving scalable parallel computing systems and the needs of programming methodologies used for next generation scientific applications.
TAU should be able to target the diversity of computing paradigms and machines while offering a framework of portable and reconfigurable measurement and analysis components that can be optimized and extended.
Enhancements:
- This release features support for profile snapshots, improved Fortran support, multiple PerfDMF databases within ParaProf, Lahey 64 bit compiler under Linux and SiCortex 64 and 32 bit architectures, clock synchronization in trace files, support for metadata in ppk files and for building charts, TAU portal scripts for uploading data, support for persistent communication events in traces, and KTAU OS level shared counter coupling.
- Also included are Eclipse/PTP updates for accessing TAU options and build configurations.
