Radar Tools in short RAT is a small collection of tools for processing SAR (synthetic aperture radar) remote sensing data, packed together in a nice graphical user interface.
Our motivation to start the development of RAT is that modern remote sensing software like Erdas Image or ENVI include only some basic SAR functionality. Advanced algorithms have to be implemented by oneself.
So we descided to start the development of RAT. RAT should bring modern SAR algorithms to a wider user-base by simplifying in particular the data handling and processing of complex SAR data.
RAT is planned as an ongoing community effort, i.e. there will be no final version with a certain functionality. It is our idea to include more and more SAR tools in future and to make them freely available to the scientific community.
We of course also hope for external contributions. Because of this, the programming interface of RAT is kept quite simple and adding own functions is quite easy. Function templates are included in the distribution and a step-by-step description of how to program a RAT module will appear soon in the documentation.

SIOX4Java comes from Simple Interactive Object Extraction and is a Java SDK that provides a generic segmentation engine for extracting the foreground from still images with little user interaction.
The underlying method (which has also been integrated into GIMP) is noise and motion blur robust and can easily be adapted for the segmentation of objects in videos.
The SDK also contains an experimental feature called the "Detail Refinement Brush", which enables the removal of spill colors and manual refinement of highly detailed textures.
Enhancements:
- This release adds methods for video segmentation.
- There are minor documentation cleanups.

Email Security through Procmail (the Procmail Sanitizer) provides methods to sanitize email, removing obvious exploit attempts and disabling the channels through which exploits are delivered.
Email Security through Procmail also provides facilities for detecting and blocking Trojan Horse exploits and worms.

- This release added default poisoning of the application/x-msdownload MIME type in response to a new worm.
- Full MIME-type poisoning support will be available shortly.

Robust non-linear audio processing
A unique approach to non-linear audio processing was developed for Traverso to provide extremely solid and robust audio processing and editing. Adding and removal of effects plugins, moving Audio Clips or creating new Tracks during playback is perfectly save, giving the user the opportunity to instantly get feedback on his work!

Demokritos is a server implementation of the Atom Publishing Protocol.
Demokritos also provides a library that can be used for the development of other Atom-related applications.
Usage:
To run a test server, cd to test directory and run test_server.py
client_test.py in the same directory will run through a sequence of tests on this.
Enhancements:
- Duplicates are now handled in URI minting.
- A feeds updated property after a removal of an entry is now current datetime (not that of the latest entry).
- Posts missing a media type now throw an exception.
- A bug where entry collections were being retrieved from the persistence layer as media collections has been fixed.
