Relax and Recover (abbreviated rear) is a highly modular disaster recovery framework for GNU/Linux based systems.
The disaster recovery information (and maybe the backups) can be stored via the network, local on hard disks or USB devices, DVD/CD-R, tape, etc. The result is also a bootable image that is capable of booting via PXE, DVD/CD and tape (OBDR).

The aim is to make rear as least demanding as possible, it will require only the applications neccessary to fulfill the job rear is configured for. All other applications will be copied to the rescue system if they are present.

Naughts and Crosses a simple tic-tac-toe game - with a twist.

This is a simple tic-tac-toe game, written in C++ for the console. Its a very simple affair, and only suited to the odd five minutes, but has a fully functional one-player mode (which I have tried to make neither too easy nor too hard) and offers the ability to modify the board size.

get_iat and iat_cmp are two small programs to extract and to very basic analysis of packet inter arrival times (unfortunaly often wrongly called inter packet gaps) in a pcap network trace.

- get_iat just reads one pcap files an outputs the inter arrival time and the time
difference between this packet and the first one for all packets

- iat_cmp compares several pcap files and checks how much their inter arrival
times differ. This "compare" is done by sorting the inter arrival time
difference into buckets. Currently the buckets must be configured by hand
in the source code.

BEWARE: these programs have not been tested very exensively. So expect
crashes.

Installation:

Requires GNU make (gmake)
Edit the Makefile and change the path to your libpcap installation.

Search And Rescue project is an air rescue flight simulator. The player pilots rescue helicopters to rescue victims in various situations of distress.

Search and Rescue is a helicopter based air rescue flight simulator. It employs a simple flight dynamics engine that is targetted towards the "average" player. It is not designed to be a cutting-edge realistic simulator, but rather a flexable game that everyone can play and enjoy.

The history of the development of this game goes back to 1997, when Search and Rescue was created as an explorative to design for more complex 3D games using the OpenGL graphics library. Much of the effort in the development of this game came from Wolfpack Entertainment and many dedicated contributors (see credits below).

This game was ported to Windows early on in its development to ensure the portability of its graphics code. However the Win32 version lacked certain features due to differences in Windows design of its graphic, sound, and controller implementation.

The flight dynamics engine (FDE) features helicopter, aircraft, and tilt-rotor aircraft flight dynamics models (FDMs). It uses source-centered (as opposed to world-centered) mathimatical equations to simulate movement which mimicks but does not fundimentally follow standard physics equations. This simplifies the "flyability" of the aircrafts at a slight cost of realisim and lightens processor load.

The 3D visual models of the aircrafts and objects were created by a program called Vertex 3D, an OpenGL modeller designed to create 3D visual models that are optimized for OpenGL.

Each scene is a finite sized flat world, separated vertically by cloud layer(s) and centered at the origin with an artificial longitude and latitude offset applied to displayed positions.

BORG is a combination calendar and task tracking system. The calendar supports simple todos. The Task Tracker goes way beyond todos.
BORG is basically meant to be a small self-contained Java application that you can run locally. Many users run BORG Calendar and Task Tracker from a thumb drive.
BORG actually stands for Berger-Organizer. Unfortunately, the name BORG seems to be a popular choice for software products, probably due to the number of Star Trek fans that write code. The fact that BORG calendar also seems to refer to the Microsoft Outlook calendar makes things even more confusing. Oh well....
Why would anyone want to use a home-grown calendar/task tracker when there are so many others out there, freeware and otherwise?
A potential BORG user might agree with the following:
- I use a calendar/task tracker to remind me to do everything in life that I have to do.
- I do not want to set up a web server just to see my calendar
- I do not want to access the internet to see my calendar
- I work on Linux, Windows and other OSs and would like any of my machines to run my calendar program
- I dont want to have to worry about my calendar not working if I upgrade linux, windows, glibc, mySQL, apache, < fill in any third-party software that causes things to stop working >, etc...
- I like open source software. Even if the developer(s) die, I can still build and enhance my calendar program.

Dariks Boot and Nuke is short DBAN is a self-contained boot floppy that securely wipes the hard disks of most computers.

Crown and Cutlass project is a 3D pirate action/adventure game in the spirit of Sid Meiers Pirates!.
It is simultaneously being developed in Linux and Windows, with a strong emphasis on cross-platform compatability. The project is still early on in development, although it is just beginning to look like an actual game.
Crown and Cutlass is written in C++, using OpenGL and SDL in order to allow cross-platform compatibility.
