SoftwareUpdate is a Java class that assists with adding an automatic software-update feature to applications.

It doesnt perform the update, but takes care of administrative stuff like looking up the version number of the latest version, with the ability to distinguish and check different places based on operating system.

SoftwareUpdate also builds the OS-specific URLs to make it easy to do a quick latest-version check in any desktop or server application.

Olive is a totally sweet console mode RSS aggregator and newsreader written in Perl with Curses::UI as its toolkit.
The big difference between Olive and other newsreaders is that it takes a time-centric as opposed to site-centric view of newsfeeds.
Olive also tries to stay out of your way as much as possible by eating a minimum of screen real estate and streamlining operations to keep neccessary human interaction to a minimum.

- Standard --help and --version command-line arguments have been implemented.
- Licensing has been unified under the Perl license.

Golem is a lightweight, fast window manager for X11 which is very customizable.
Golems development has stagnated for a while and Jordan has given the project to Bruce Ashfield. Bruce is currently working on a new release which will have some existing patches applied.

gnome-terminal is the GNOME terminal emulator application. gnome-terminal is only the shell (menubar, prefs dialog); the terminal emulation ("stuff in the middle") comes from the VTE widget. Remember this when choosing a bugzilla component.

all settings are stored in profiles. prefs dialog edits the current profile

just the number of open windows/tabs and their profile is stored per-session

do not overlap things that are preferences

casse-tete project is a little game.
It runs under Linux/X-Window (it may work under other OSes, I dont know, just try, youll probably need gcc thus).
The goal is to let out to the right all the stuff. You can use left, right keys to move the stuff, and space to turn if you can turn. escape to quit.
I guess its easy to understand how it works.
Hope theres no bug in there, its old stuff, the code is ugly and the like.
How to run
- do a make in this directory
- run ./casse-tete and have some little fun.
