This module implements a dockable toolbar. It is in the same spirit as the "short-cut" toolbars found in most major applications, such as most web browsers and text editors (where you find the "back" or "save" and other shortcut buttons).

Buttons of any type (regular, menu, check, radio) can be created inside this widget. You can also create Label, Entry and LabEntry widgets. Moreover, the ToolBar itself can be made dockable, such that it can be dragged to any edge of your window. Dragging is done in "real-time" so that you can see the contents of your ToolBar as you are dragging it. Furthermore, if you are close to a stickable edge, a visual indicator will show up along that edge to guide you.

ToolBars can be made "floatable" such that if they are dragged beyond their associated window, they will detach and float on the desktop. Also, multiple ToolBars are embeddable inside each other.

If you drag a ToolBar to within 15 pixels of an edge, it will stick to that edge. If the ToolBar is further than 15 pixels away from an edge and still inside the window, but you release it over another ToolBar widget, then it will be embedded inside the second ToolBar. You can "un-embed" an embedded ToolBar simply by dragging it out. You can change the 15 pixel limit using the -close option.

Various icons are built into the Tk::ToolBar widget. Those icons can be used as images for ToolButtons (see "SYNOPSIS"). A demo program is bundled with the module that should be available under the User Contributed Demonstrations when you run the widget program. Run it to see a list of the available images.

Tk::ToolBar attempts to use Tk::CursorControl if its already installed on the system. You can further control this using the -cursorcontrol option. See "PREREQUISITES".
The ToolBar is supposed to be created as a child of a Toplevel (MainWindow is a Toplevel widget) or a Frame. You are free to experiment otherwise, but expect the unexpected.

Neos 2.4

Neos 2.4

Neos is a port of the original theme for Gnome. more>>
Neos is a port of the original theme for Gnome.
BVCs "Alien" theme was used for modifications. Window decorations code was compiled in Alien. And toolbar icons from Alien theme of BVC. Thanx to good working of BVC ;).
You may wonder why is not exactly the same as the orginal one even though, this is neos theme port. The answer is simple: When you look at Gnome/Gtk as whole screen, some of the graphics looks disjointed. According to my personal taste i customized some of graphics.
Enhancements:
- Neos Improved Series Has been added.
- Improved Blue Gtk style 24x and 48x (sized panel presets), Neos 1 Style Win decoration , Neos 2 Win decoration has been added.
- Improved Lime Gtk style 24x and 48x (sized panel presets), Neos 1 Style Win decoration , Neos 2 Win decoration has been added.
- Improved White Gtk styles 24x and 48x (sized panel presets), Neos 1 Style Win decoration , Neos 2 Win decoration
- Please use 24x or 48x size panel. And choose to 24x or 48x Gtk Style preset depend on your using size panel. Dont use to any Panel Background texture. Gtk styles includes to default looking textures. On the next versions will be add other sizes (32,64,76...) presets.
- Improved style is indepent version of orginal Neos.
- Improved styles includes Gradient Graphics: Gradient Notebook border, Small sized 4 color menubackground, imrpoved tab styles etc... (in my opinion it looks very good).
- Improved to Orginal Neos ports graphics. But it hasnt gradient Notebook borders.
- Neos 1 and Neos 2 Window Decoration problems has been resolved and improved its graphics. From now not need to Gnome Configurator Os X like window decoration settings. Because windows buttons and titles positions changed to right side. So, dont use to Os X like windows placement with Gnome Configurator!
- Some of gtk-stock and toolbars icons has been added. Blue, Lime and White style...
- It may seems no different between improved theme and original theme.
- One of the reasons of this Original Neos theme is also taken, almost every property of the improved theme.it has not only gradient notebook borders. Actually improved versions are consisting of my personal edition. And these are the sets that will be effected by the changes in the future. Original neos wouldnt be effected by these developments. Actually there is detailed worked in Gtk Graphics and window decoration graphics. For understand about difference you can download it.

libexo 0.3.1.10 RC1

libexo 0.3.1.10 RC1

libexo is the extension library to Xfce developed by os-cillation. more>>
libexo is the extension library to Xfce developed by os-cillation. While Xfce ships with quite a few libraries that are primarly targeted at desktop development, libexo is targeted at application development, with a focus on applications for Xfce.
libexo library is already used by three Xfce applications - Terminal, Xfmedia and Thunar - and is expected to be used by other Xfce applications as well, once more application developers start to write applications for and with Xfce.
libexo contains a bunch of additional widgets (e.g. an icon bar and widgets that can automatically ellipsize text), provides a framework for editable toolbars (an improved version of the framework present in GNOME), light-weight session management support, functions to automatically synchronize object properties (based on GObject Binding Properties) and several miscelleanous utility and helper functions for application developers.
Installation:
Before we go into the details of how to install libexo from source, we should mention that binary packages prebuilt for your operating system will be available, either from your operating system vendor or from independent sources. Check the download locations mentioned above to see whether binary packages are available for your operating system.
The source package is distributed as bzip2ed tarball (.tar.bz2) and as a gziped tarball (.tar.gz). It is highly recommended to install libexo to the same location that you installed Xfce to. For example, if you installed Xfce into /usr/local, you would perform the following steps to build and install libexo:
# bunzip2 exo-X.Y.Z.tar.bz2
# tar xf exo-X.Y.Z.tar
# cd exo-X.Y.Z
# export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig
# ./configure --prefix=/usr/local
# make
# make install
Replace X.Y.Z in the above lines with the version of the tarball you downloaded (e.g. 0.2.0).
Enhancements:
- This release adds a new ExoIconChooserDialog widget to pick an icon from either the current icon theme or an image file.
- It adds exo_gtk_file_chooser_add_thumbnail_preview(), which adds a thumbnail preview widget to a GtkFileChooser.
- It adds ExoCellRendererIcon as the default icon renderer for the ExoIconView.
- ExoTreeView has been updated to add support for rubberband selection.
- A layout problem in ExoIconView where the appearance of a scrollbar caused the icons to be laid out again and again has been fixed.
- The GSlice allocator is used where possible to further reduce memory overhead.

Typist 3.1h

Typist 3.1h

Typist project is a web-based, Java typing tutor. more>>
Typist project is a web-based, Java typing tutor.
JTypist is a program that teaches you how to type.
It teaches you QWERTY and DVORAK even when you dont have the proper keyboard.
JTypist calculates statistics, shows a keyboard image highlighting key you should hit and features a wide variety of lessons.
Enhancements:
- Typist goes more graphical, with the inclusion of Xpm- capable classes, and image-displaying buttons. Added image buttons to several toolbars and dialogs. Why Xpm? Its easily handled with a text editor, and basing it on properties allows images to participate in localization. Watch the image on the "About Typist" dialog closely.
- Added a Tooltip class, and attached tooltips to several GUI components. Tooltips dont really work in the applet version, though, so are normally switched off when the program launches as an applet.
- Moved bulk data (.properties) files into subdirectories to reduce clutter.
- Major work on the class, source, and doc file naming for the distribution. This should significantly reduce the amount of unzipping required. The file names are also very close to DOS 8.3 format, making it simpler to copy the entire application onto a DOS-format floppy disk.
- Minor improvements to threads handling in cases where the frame associated with a thread is not visible.
