Digital Radio Mondiale, also known as DRM, is a new digital radio standard for the long-, medium- and short-wave ranges.

The standard was formed by a consortium in co-operation with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The new system offers the radio stations and new service providers access to the multimedia age with small bit rates for large target areas and long distances.

The bandwidth of a DRM bandpass signal is less than 20 kHz and the number of carriers used in the OFDM-modulation is relatively small (max. 460). These features motivate a real-time software implementation of a DRM-receiver on a conventional personal computer (PC) using the sound card as the input and output device. A long, medium and short wave front-end with an intermediate frequency (IF) between 5 kHz and 15 kHz is used to receive the DRM signal.

Any commercial front-end with an IF of 455 kHz should be usable by adding a 455 kHz to 12 kHz adaptor (assumed the receiver bandwidth is sufficient for a DRM signal).

With this software project we intend to implement a working software receiver with, at least, the basic features. Since this project is created at a university and the fundamental idea of such an institution is to teach and stimulate the creativity, this source-code is free under the GNU-General Public License (GPL).

Dream is a development project which uses the open source model to improve DRM technology. The main aim of this project is to implement and test new research results on an existing system, whereby the synchronization and channel estimation is of special interest.

The programming-language is C++. The code runs under Microsoft Windows and Linux. Start of the project was June 2001.

Although this software is going to be distributed as free software under the terms of the GPL this does not mean that its use is free of rights of others. The use may infringe third party IP and thus may not be legal in some countries.

The intended audience of the Dream software are people who are interested in how to decode a DRM stream and want to learn from the algorithms used in this software and people who want to help us improving the performance of the receiver and the source code.

Check Website is a performance monitoring and uptime notification tool. Check Website will check if a Website is up, and check the response time of the site.
The administrator can then choose to receive an email notification if the site is down, or if the site response time is too slow. All results are also written to a daily log file.
Enhancements:
- This release fixes some small bugs that caused hang ups in the program when checking Web sites.

PHP Gift Registry is a a Web-enabled database that allows members to keep track of the gifts theyd like to receive and see what items other members would like to receive. Private reservations ensure gifts are not bought twice.
Main features:
- A single unifying view of items on your own list and people whose lists you can view.
- A now-optional request/permit system by which you can control who can see your list.
- A "checkin/checkout" system which allows you to reserve items on someones list.
- An in-system messaging system by which users can be informed of item deletions or custom announcements.
- New users can request accounts. Optionally, administrators will be informed about the request, and they can then approve or reject the request. Either way, the user will be informed by e-mail.
- A site-customizable ranking system for items.
- An events system for users to add significant (read: gift-bearing) events which will show up on others displays when the event nears.

Actually, Af-Arch is really robust and stable, having systems installed on many environments. Af-Arch, at this moment, runs on GNU/Linux and Microsoft Windows.
AF Architectures license schema is based on GPL and LGPL, allowing you to develop not only open source applications but also comercial applications without any royalty or fee.
Af-Arch is a strongly documented project, which is proved to work. Af-Arch keeps on evolving and growing its feature list allways keeping in mind productivity.
Enhancements:
- A new major stable release have come with many interesting features, library dependencies news, new API to make life easy and a bunch of work to make the library to be memory efficient.
- Af-Arch no longer depends on GDA library (http://www.gnome-db.org). Now AfGs, server side support for Af-Arch, includes built-in database abstraction support, implemented to fit better with the Af-Arch framework. For more details check the "libafgs" log below.
- Af-Arch platform now support three new return types: AfDalNodeData, AfDalStringData and AfDalDecimalData, which allows services to return a module node, a plain string and a decimal value as a result for the invocation.
- Af-Arch now support a new formal parameter service AfDalSetOf which implements set of items to be sent while the service is invoked.
- af-gen tool now support defining string literals that are separated by "+" sign, making it easy to write long SQL sentences.
- af-gen tool now allow to generate type definitions that could extend, making it possible to create a class hierarchy for types to be returned by services.
- libafdal core library now implements a better error reporting mechanism which allows to receive all errors generated while performing invocation at the reply process code.
- New reserved services have been added: element_peek_reference which allows to get the node associated to a module which is relationed through the 0..1 link.

AMP (Asterisk Management Portal)
- AMP is a web GUI that allows the configuration of Asterisk without the need for editing config files. If you use AMP be careful not to make manual changes to the config files that will affect AMP?s operation.
Flash Operator Panel
- Flash Operator Panel is a real-time web interface to Asterisk. You can see what all of your extensions, trunks, and conferences are doing. We have extension 200 set up for testing. This is a live extension and will work as soon as a phone is registered to ext 200. The rest of the buttons are dummy objects for examples.
- The op_buttons.conf file has all of the configs for each button in Flash Operator Panel you can edit this using the Config Edit button on the maint menu. You must reboot the Asterisk or restart the panel service after you make changes. The normal config files for Flash Operator Panel end in .cfg we changed them to .conf so they would match the other Asterisk files.
Cisco XML Services
- Asterisk@Home has a Cisco XML Services that can be used to look up contacts in a database. Click on Web Address Book from the Asterisk@Home main menu. (user: admin password: password) and enter all of your contacts and their phone numbers.
Music On Hold (mpg123)
- Asterisk@Home has now uses mpg123 for music on hold. Put a call on hold and they hear music not dead air!
Fax support (SpanDSP)
- SpanDSP allows Asterisk to receive faxes. You can set this up in AMP.
