Compute Portal Project 0.8.11
Compute Portal Project is a portal project to produce a web based front end to a compute resource. more>>
Compute Portal Project is a portal project to produce a web based front end to a compute resource, such as a cluster, using PHP, mysql, and apache.
The intent is to allow non-programmers to use complex programs through an intuitive interface.
Enhancements:
- This is the third attempt to create a working release with an install script.
- The last two releases were plagued with copy and paste errors.
- This release is strictly a bugfix release that has been tested in a production environment.
- There may still be residual problems from the 0.8.8 to 0.8.9 transition that included the first install script and moved several directory locations.
- Please give this release a try.

Rubber 1.1
Rubber is a building system for LaTeX documents. more>>
Rubber is a program whose purpose is to handle all tasks related to the compilation of LaTeX documents. Rubber includes compiling the document itself, of course, enough times so that all references are defined, and running BibTeX to manage bibliographic references.
Automatic execution of dvips to produce PostScript documents is also included, as well as usage of pdfLaTeX to produce PDF documents.
The purpose of Rubber is to make the building of a document automated, from the source files to the final document file, replacing the work of a Makefile.
The basis is a routine that compiles a LaTeX source the right number of times to resolve all references and make all tables of contents, list of figures, and so on. On top of that, Rubber provides a modular system to handle various tasks needed apart from compilations.
This, for instance, includes processing bibliographic references or indices, as well as compilation or conversion of figures. Additionally, modules can perform a post-processing of the document (for instance to convert a DVI to PostScript or PDF) or even a preprocessing (useful when the LaTeX source is generated by another program, like cweave).
Dependency analysis is performed by parsing the source files, so that modifying any source, user package, graphics file or other dependency leads to appropriate compilations. Modules are triggered either explicitly using command-line options, or implicitly when the sources are parsed.
For instance, BibTeX support is activated whenever the source contains commands that generate a bibliography, graphics support is activated by usepackage{graphics} and similar commands, and so on. The modular approach allows any additional feature to be supported by simply writing a module to support it.

libtholoura 0.1.0
ibtholoura is a text-image distortion library. more>>
libtholoura is a text-image distortion library, useful for sites that want to ensure that a human (and not a bot) is viewing this page.
It is optimized to produce images of strings distorted in a way that made impossible for an OCR to read, but humans do.
The library takes as input any (ASCII preferably) string and is able to dynamically produce PNG indexed images (with 256 colors, interlaced) with the distorted image. In order to check this library a test program is provided.
Another feature of this library is that the distortion filters are actually plugins (i.e. dynamic libraries itself). It is easy to add or remove plugins on demand without the need to recompile the library itself.
As an extra value, it is possible to (easily) create new plugins since the developer does not need to deal with things like "how to produce an PNG" or "how to render text"; the only thing is needed is to be able to deal with a fixed size table (and a structure defining this table).
Installation:
Installation should be fairly easy. First become root (if you want to compile it somewhere system wide - check the configuration section above only if you want to change this default behavior).
Then type "make install", make sure that the paths are correct and press [RETURN] to start the installation.

Texinfo 4.9
Texinfo is the official documentation format of the GNU project. more>>
Texinfo is the official documentation format of the GNU project. It was invented by Richard Stallman and Bob Chassell many years ago, loosely based on Brian Reids Scribe and other formatting languages of the time. Texinfo project is used by many non-GNU projects as well.
Texinfo uses a single source file to produce output in a number of formats, both online and printed (dvi, html, info, pdf, xml, etc.). This means that instead of writing different documents for online information and another for a printed manual, you need write only one document. And when the work is revised, you need revise only that one document. The Texinfo system is well-integrated with GNU Emacs.

MacSlows Cairo-Clock 0.3.2

MacSlows Cairo-Clock is an analog-clock using gtk+ and cairo depending on the X11 Composite-extension and a compositing-manager.
Its an analog clock displaying the system-time. "So what?", you might say, "There are about 1.023.493 of those already out there!". Indeed there are and probably some more, but this one is a bit different.
It leverages the new visual features offered by Xorg 6.9/7.0 in combination with a compositing-manager (e.g. like xcompmgr), gtk+ 2.8.x and cairo 1.0.2 to produce a time-display with pretty-pixels.

Taglog 0.2.3
taglog is a computerised logbook, reports time spent by project, todo manager. more>>
Taglog provides an electronic workbook, combining logging of time to projects with keeping a detailed diary of what you actually do. Individual work elements can be tagged by project, allowing you to produce, for example, a record of work on one particular project, even if your time is spread across a number of projects.
Work items can also be tagged by activity type - for example meeting, phone, programming etc - allowing you to analyse where your time is going by activity. Note that this activity type is orthogonal to the project axis, so that - for example - user support would be a project - in the larger sense WHAT you are doing - and phone calls to users - HOW you are doing it - would be the activity type.

Instant Picture Creator 0.1
Instant Picture Creator is an Image Wrapper written in PHP to produce images on demand for websites. more>>
Instant Picture Creator is an Image Wrapper written in PHP to produce images on demand for websites. It uses filters, so you can manipulate images in every way by adding own filters. Currently it comes with two basic filters for Resizing images (Example: thumbnails) and Manipulation image colour palette. You can combine filters (like ‘Resize-square-100/Palette-grey’) and it is possible to define Shortcuts (like ‘greythumb’).
Filtered images can be cached, so it is fast and only need some more server time at the first image request.
It doesn’t need a special backend interface, you can manipulate images by a request like http://yourserver.com/picture.png?filter=thumbnail (you don’t need to do it by yourself, it will be done by the first request anyway). In this way you can integrate this mechanism very easy in running websites. You can use it only for one (or more) folder (with images) or you can you use Instant Picture Creator in general for all images on your website. Of cause you also can use it in your backends to prepare thumbnails for uploaded images, etc ...
Currently it supports GIF, PNG and JPEG image types.

WorldForge::Sage 0.1.2
Sage is an OpenGL extensions library that uses SDL to obtain its function pointers in a cross-platform manner. more>>
Sage is an OpenGL extensions library that uses SDL to obtain its function pointers in a cross-platform manner.
Sage source code is automatically generated from the glext.h header file available from the OpenGL site.
Our vision is to foster an independent community, active in the development and maintainance of many unique roleplaying-oriented game worlds, with access to a rich collection of game rules and audio/visual media, a wide selection of server and client implementations, and a standard network communication protocol.
WorldForges mission is to produce the necessary tools and technologies that will allow the creation of graphically rich games of cooperation and socialization.
We strive to blur the distinction between player and maker, and wish to establish a positive community environment for current and future free game developers. Our efforts will culminate in a game, codenamed Belchfire, set in a well developed gameworld called Dural and using the Circe RPG rule system.
Our strategy is simple: Listen to what players, authors, and artists wish to do, and put the tools in their hands that makes it possible for them to realize their visions.
The WorldForge project evolved out of a desire for better internet role playing games.
Where Multi-User Dungeons have had a great degree of success through the early years of the internet, games like Ultima Online have failed to build upon these successes to produce an advanced virtual world of any merit.
Avinash Gupta and a collective of perhaps a dozen enthusiastic gamers began to share their vision of what a truely fantastic gaming experiance should be.
