CookiePie 0.5.5
CookiePie is a Firefox extension enabling you to maintain different cookies storage in different tabs and windows. more>>
CookiePie is a Firefox extension enabling you to maintain different cookies storage in different tabs and windows.
You can open multiple Gmail/Yahoo Mail accounts in different tabs and windows simulteanously. Developers can use CookiePie to test their Web software with different applications users without needing to open a different browser.
How I can use it?
Download it from: CookiePie Extension
Use the tab context menu to enable CookiePie
For example: Toogle CookiePie in three tabs, and login to different GMail account in both.
Where the idea came from?
We need to use it internally at Nektra, and finally decide to publish it for the community.
What does CookiePie means for the end user?
It means that you can for example open multiple GMail/Yahoo Mail/Hotmail accounts in different tabs and windows simulteanously.
What does CookiePie means for web developers?
Developers working on Web Software supporting multiple users or profiles can use CookiePie to simultaneusly test their software with each user without needing to open a different browser.
How CookiePie was made?
A first look at the FireFox extensions capabilities let us think this extension was almost impossible to do. One of the limitations was the unconnected parts between http transactions and UI being difficult to correlate an UI to a specific http request/response, more when AJAX/XmlHttpRequest (i.e: GMail) is involved.
The work involved mainly short term research and trying to push to the extreme FireFox capabilities without knowing nothing of Mozilla Extensions at the start of development.
Version restrictions:
- Gecko 1.8.1 has some implementation errors: FireFox store cookies although our http observer changes the response header. This means the common cookies are changed in the FireFox extensions for every transaction on each tab. More information at: Mozilla Bugzilla
- The reordering of tabs is breaking GMail account opened tabs.
- GMail has added after we finish this extension, an alert we hope to repair it so GMail doesnt know about another connection on another tab or window.
- User may experience problems with another Firefox extensions (for example Tab Mix Plus)

SQL Admin 0.2.2
SQL Admin is a Java client application to connect and send queries to different databases through JDBC. more>>
SQL Admin is a Java client application to connect and send queries to different databases through JDBC.
SQLAdmin uses the brand new SWT Toolkit. The main idea is to create a multiplatform and multidatabase thin client. For example, you can connect to an Microsoft SQL Server from a Linux machine, or connect to a PostgreSQL/Linux server from a Windows machine using the same application.
Main features:
- Based on the SWT Tookit. Java applications can use the native Toolkit with a platform independant API. For example, SQLAdmin uses GTK2 in Linux
- Lightweight : The application itself is small, and the SWT provides a nice gui with a very small footprint
- Abstract JDBC driver backend. User should configure only basic parameters like server, port, and login without the need to know about Class names or JDBC URLs
- Graphical view of connections and database metadata such as schemas, tables and fields
- Multiple query execution. Also supports embedded comments on SQL Text
- Log window to view system messages and query results
- Table structure view
- Fast table rows view

MOSIX Grid and Cluster Management 2.21.2.6
MOSIX Grid and Cluster Management is a management system for Linux clusters. more>>
MOSIX Grid and Cluster Management is a management system for Linux clusters and organizational grids that provides a Single-System Image.
In a MOSIX based system, there is no need to modify or link applications with any library, copy files, login to remote nodes, or even assign processes to different nodes; it is all done automatically. Just "fork and forget", like in an SMP.
Main features:
- Provides a Single-System Image (SSI).
- Automatic resource discovery.
- Adaptive workload distribution by process migration:
- Preserves the users "login-node" environment.
- No need to open "logins" or copy files to remote clusters.
- No need to link applications with special libraries.
- Automatic process migration:
- For load-balancing.
- From slower to faster nodes.
- When a node run out of free memory.
- Supports virtual organizations:
- Manages disruptive configurations:
- Clusters can join or leave the Grid at any time.
- Guest processes are moved out before a cluster is disconnected.
- Long-running guest processes are not killed.
- Clusters could be shared symmetrically or asymmetrically.
- Each cluster owner can assign different priorities to guest processes from other clusters.
- A flexible use of nodes within and among different groups.
- Local processes force out guest processes.
- A secure run time environment (sandbox) for guest processes.
- Live queuing - queued jobs preserve their full generic Linux environment.
- Support of batch jobs, checkpoint and recovery.
- An on-line monitor for the status of the Grid and each cluster.
Enhancements:
- This release uses version 2.6.22.3 of the Linux kernel.

DBIx::Log4perl 0.09
DBIx::Log4perl is a Perl extension for DBI to selectively log SQL, parameters, result-sets, etc. more>>
DBIx::Log4perl is a Perl extension for DBI to selectively log SQL, parameters, result-sets, transactions etc to a Log::Log4perl handle.
SYNOPSIS
use Log::Log4perl;
use DBIx::Log4perl;
Log::Log4perl->init("/etc/mylog.conf");
my $dbh = DBIx::Log4perl->connect(DBI:odbc:mydsn, $user, $pass);
$dbh->DBI_METHOD(args);
or
use DBIx::Log4perl;
my $dbh = DBIX::Log4perl->connect(DBI:odbc:mydsn, $user, $pass
{DBIx_l4p_init => "/etc/mylog.conf",
DBIx_l4p_class => "My::Package");
$dbh->DBI_METHOD(args);
DBIx::Log4perl is a wrapper over DBI which adds logging of your DBI activity via a Log::Log4perl handle. Log::Log4perl has many advantages for logging but the ones probably most attractive are:
The ability to turn logging on or off or change the logging you see without changing your code.
Different log levels allowing you to separate warnings, errors and fatals to different files.

teepeedee 0.3.2-pre
teepeedee provides a fast, single-threaded personal HTTP(S) and FTP server. more>>
teepeedee provides a fast, single-threaded personal HTTP(S) and FTP server.
teepeedee is a small, fast, single-threaded file server.
It is very scalable, and can serve multiple files over HTTPS, HTTP and FTP simultaneously, listening on any number of ports and providing entirely different views of the filesystem to different users.
It supports most of the draft-ietf-ftpext-mlst-16.txt FTP extensions, as well as EPRT, EPSV, AUTH TLS, and HTTP 1.1 persistent connections.
vsftpd is 20% slower than teepeedee for 512 transfers, and will probably scale even worse as the number of transfers rises. OTOH both servers were not saturating the link, so possibly the problem was with the wget clients or something wasnt tweaked in the network stacks of the two machines.
teepeedee will probably scale even better on single CPU boxes, because of its single threaded design. On multiprocessor boxes vsftpd might have an advantage. Of course it would be fairly easy to get teepeedee to fork enough times to exploit the multiple processors but I dont have an SMP box so I havent done it.
Enhancements:
- License update
- Include manpage

American Express Expense Report to QIF Converter 1.0
American Express Expense Report to QIF Converter is a utility that converts American Express expense reports into QIF. more>>
American Express Expense Report to QIF Converter project is a utility that converts American Express expense reports into QIF.
There are three main reasons:
1. American Express only offers QIF files for the last 6 months of activity whereas the expense reports go back 2 years. You can also run a report with a custom 1- to 12-month time period within 24 months of the current calendar month.
2. American Express QIF files have limited to no "categorization" whereas the expense report categorizes each transaction with a "Merchant Category" and "Subcategory".
3. American Express QIF files do not indicate which credit card in a multi-card account performed the transaction.
Main features:
- Inserts card owner and last 5 digits of the credit card in the memo field
- Reads config file for user defined rules so transactions can be automatically mapped to different accounts in your accounting software. Mapping can be based on:
- Credit card owner
- Vendor name
- AMEX "Merchant Category" and "Subcategory"
- Any combination of the above
- Sanitizes and cleans up vendor names
- Has the ability to add a prefix to all vendor names

moftpd 1.2.3
moftpd is a powerful ftp server supporting IPv6, TLS, SQL and much more. more>>
moftpd project is a powerful ftp server supporting IPv6, SQL, TLS and much more.
Main features:
RFC compiance
moftpd is a very RFC compliant server. supporting all standard commands and all protocols except SKIPJACK-KEA encryption. Included standards are IPv6, TLS encryption and verification, UTF-8, internationalisation and more.
Powerful authentication
moftpd includes powerful control over authenticating users. In addition to the system users you can specify any number of users in the configuration file, and put permissions on directories and files on a per user bases (or group of users).
You can let users connect to different servers based on the client ip address, and a compliant client can choose server upon connect if theres several available.
moftpd can also authenticate users based on the certificate they present when encrypting the connection. This is useful as you can restrict an account to only be allowed with a specific private key.
There is also support for SQL (currently MySQL only) for specifying users and directory permissions.
Strong permission system
As mentioned above, file and directory permissions can be specified individually for each user and directory. You can choose between a real or faked chroot, and if using the latter, allow specific symlinks out of the chroot to access other directories.
You can also put restrictions on critical files, which must be encrypted and/or signed during the transfer. File and directory permissions can also be fetched from SQL.
Internationalisation
moftpd is fully compliant with the specification of running FTP in different languages. So far, only Swedish is implemented, but more is easy to add.
moftpd always run in UTF-8 as per the RFC, but has functions for converting file names and commands in different encodings to UTF-8.
Good documentaion
An easy to navigate html documentation is included and is also available here on the homepage. For those that prefer text documents that is also available and the HTML code for the options are actually generated from an included XML source.
