Samba TNG 0.4.99

Samba TNG 0.4.99

Samba TNG is a SMB fileserver that concentrates on NT RPC and PDC functionality. more>>
Samba TNG is another SMB server for Unix-like operating systems. This software is concentrating on MSRPC interoperatability with Windows NT, 2000, XP, and 2003.
It provides PDC support and tools to remotely administer NT servers and workstations. Note that Samba TNG is currently in a beta stage. If you need advanced file/print serving capabilities, you should opt for Samba classic.
Enhancements:
- As with release 0.4, we highly recommend a working iconv library.
- Iconv is bundled with some C libraries - notably GNU libc - and shipped with almost all
- Linux systems, and some Unix systems.
- If your system does not have an iconv library, or (like Solaris) only has a limited one, we highly recommend installing the GNU libiconv, which you can find at http://www.gnu.org/software/libiconv/ .
- Samba-TNG will still compile and run with its own iconv stubs, but this probably will not handle international character sets well, if at all.

tngCalendar 1.3

tngCalendar 1.3

tngCalendar is a Web calendar addon to the TNG software for online genealogy. more>>
tngCalendar is a Web calendar addon to the TNG software for online genealogy.
I have a fairly large family and often have trouble keeping track of birthdays, anniversaries, and the like.
Ive also started keeping track of my familys genealogy via a web-based package, so the solution seemed obvious: add the component I needed so the software I was already using.
The result is called tngCalendar. The calendar is a simple monthly view with birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and dates of death overlaid.
tngCalendar operates in conjunction with the TNG package, but can (and should) be installed separately. Simply download the package, and uncompress in a temporary directory. Edit the php file according to the directions contained inside, and copy the pieces into place.
Note that tngCalendar may circumvent your security setup by "giving away" birth and marriage dates relevent to living persons. However, since the exact year of a persons birth or marriage is not shown on the calendar (it only shows anniversaries, the year is only used for dFixed a bug in the anniversaries.php links (the day numbers on the calendar).
Enhancements:
- This release fixes a bug introduced in 1.2 that caused anniversaries to fail to display.
- It fixes a bug that caused links to point to the wrong entries in some cases.
- It adds support for nickname, lnprefix, and suffix when available.

dbxbandmin 0.1

dbxbandmin 0.1

dbxbandmin collects traffic via ipchains/iptables/ipfwadm-rules and writes the data into an Interbase database. more>>
dbxbandmin collects traffic via ipchains/iptables/ipfwadm-rules and writes the data into an Interbase database. It uses Perls DBI-driver and can be extended with support for various database versions.
- You need a kernel with firewall-support
- you need ipfwadm or ipchains or iptables
- you need the InterBase-Client
- you need Perl 5.xx, pE. 5.5
- you need IBPerl0.8x
- you need DBI-Modul for Perl
- you need DBD::InterBase
(try "perl -Mcpan -e shell;" and type "install DBD::Interbase")
If you do not know what parts you needed, try install.sh for reports
First you must install a "Listening" firewall-policy. The tool tng-acc-bandminstart will do this. Follow the instructions of TNG-installation. The options-overview can you get by typing
"./tng-acc-bandmin --help", if you want a german-explanation, try "./tng-acc-bandmin --language=german --help". To remove firewall-policy use tng-acc-bandminstop.
If you have questions after reading all damn documentation, please dont hesitate to ask me for tng-acc-bandmin or marco for TNG in general.
Enhancements:
- tng-acc-bandmin.rc, tng-acc-bandmin: - added POD-documentation about all - checking if "kennung" exists - tng-acc-bandmin supports now a quiet simple and human-readable configfile - fixed misspelled words - moved short switch for "ReadDevices" from "-c" to "-r" - added switch to use a special config file (default one in current dir is "./.tng-acc-bandmin.rc"), please check documentation for side-effects - virtualization of "DBI"-driver, that means the DBI-Call is complete configurable by configfile or -switches - added an example for a configfile
