xbindkeys is a program that allows you to launch shell commands with your keyboard or your mouse under X Window.
xbindkeys links commands to keys or mouse buttons, using a configuration file. Its independant of the window manager and can capture all keyboard keys (ex: Power, Wake...).
usage: [--version|-V] [--defaults|-d] [--file|-f file] [--help|-h] [--display|-X display-name] [--vebose|-v] [--show|-s] [--key|-k] [--multikey|-mk] [--geometry|-g geom]
-V, --version Print version and exit
-d, --defaults Print a default rc file
-f, --file Use an alternative rc file

-X, --display Set X display to use

-s, --show Show the actual keybinding
-k, --key Identify one key pressed

Installation
Download the source (See the download section).
Open a text console (for example, xterm).
Change to the directory into which you downloaded the source.
cd source_download_directory
Uncompress the source :
tar xzvf xbindkeys-1.x.x.tar.gz
Change to the new directory (created by tar) :
cd xbindkeys-1.x.x
Compile the program :
make
Install the program (as root if necessary) :
su root
make install
exit
Configure the program :
see the Configuration section.
You can now use xbindkeys by typing :
xbindkeys &
or by loading it automatically when X starts up by adding the preceeding line to the file $HOME/.xsession.
On Mandrake (and maybe Redhat), this method doesnt works.
Instead you can use : Configuration -> Gnome -> Advanced -> Session -> Startup Programs on Mandrake
or Gnome menu -> Settings -> Session -> Session Properties on Redhat.
Enhancements:
- Correction of typos in the man page.
- An emphasis is made on the documentation about the Guile/Scheme configuration file (the preferred way for non-trivial configuration, and far more powerful than the default configuration file).

Global Javadoc Viewer is a tiny application that allows you to conveniently browse multiple Javadoc sets simultaneously, using a single packages/classes hierarchy tree.

Global Javadoc Viewer pre-alfa version is not configurable, but useful, it allows to browse the next javadoc API sets:

- From the Internet: j2se 1.5, j2ee 1.4, hibernate and some others.
- From the local filesystem, in a UN*X box: all javadoc sets installed to the /usr/share/javadoc/ directory

Featherweight Linux is my Live-CD installable Linux distribution that I remastered from Feather Linux, which is built on knoppix technology. Youll find some great people over at Feather and you can find some good documentation there.
Their goal is to make a light and fast Linux with a very small footprint that can be installed on USB pen drives and such. My goal is a bit different. I want a full featured Linux that isnt bloated with a kazillion gigs of crap that Ill never use. I want a small footprint that is light and fast, even on older machines, but still carries a knockout punch.
So I took Feather and stripped out a bunch of apps that I never even thought of using. I wanted to make an easy to understand desktop that was compatible and easily configurable with the latest apps being developed, so I removed all of the window managers and installed a minimal KDE 3.3 desktop.
I included the most popular internet apps like the Mozilla Suite complete with plugins, Gaim, Gftp etc... I added full printer support and wifi support. In my test environment, it automatically detects and configures both my network printer (HP PSC 1210)and my linksys wireless card. Hopefully, itll do the same for you. It is debian based so I installed Synaptic for easy upgrading and totally FREE software management. Customizing your own system with the software that you want is only a few clicks away.
In its current state, the ISO is about 240mb and the HDD install is about 700mb, which is about 1/4 of all the other overweight distros out there. Once you install it, you can install OpenOffice and a bunch of other stuff if you need it, but I just wanted to make a good solid functional base so you can build your own system if you want.
Featherweight is intended for novice users with "some" linux experience, intermediate users, and experienced linux users alike. It has a pretty straight forward install but you should know linux and HDD partitioning basics before trying to install it.

Enhancements:
- Ive upgraded e2fsprogs and e2fslibs as well as some other critical core files.
- I updated the apt sources and added abiword and acroread, as well as the acroread mozilla plugin, and I added kppp.
- I upgraded samba and switched the quick start konqueror and kde help buttons with a mozilla button and a konsole button.
- I fixed the install script where some folks were getting a blank screen after installation and added a grub install script for easy installation of grub after the initial install.
- The total installed size is now about 800mb.

WMCPULoad is a CPU monitor dockapp which has an LCD look-alike user interface, and displays the current usage, expressed as a percentile and a chart, The back-light may be turned on/off by clicking the mouse button over the application.

If the CPU usage hits a certain threshold, an alarm-mode will alert you by turning back-light on. WMCPULoad runs on GNU/Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, BSDi, Solaris, Cygwin, IRIX and Darwin.

Rcss addresses issue of CSS maintainability. Even a minor change in complex stylesheet usually requires using search-and-replace.
A simple way to fix this flaw is to allow some kind of constant/variable substitution inside CSS. Using Rcss you can achieve that in three ways:
ERB templates
ERB templating is the most flexible solution. It uses standard ERB syntax (the same you can find in rhtml files). ERB allows you to inlude in the CSS values defined in controller. This gives access to database through ActiveRecord and allows database-driven CSS themes.

Server-side Constants were originaly developed by Shaun Inman in PHP. SSC extends CSS syntax in a simple way. SCC is cross-platform and easy to use.
Rcss differs from original implementation in two ways :

Enhancements:
- Ruby 1.8.2 is now used for builds, which fixes an invalid GEM problem and allows the software to actually be installed.
