The poster plug-in is a Gimp plug-in that combines image layers by attaching them in rows and columns. This is useful especially for films.

The plug-in attaches the layers of a RGB or grayscale image row by row from the left to the right. The frames are separated by lines of selectable width in the current foreground color. If the row/column matrix is too small for all layers, the last layers are skipped. If the row/column matrix is too huge for the layers, additional slots are filled with the current background color.

Now, how does this look like???

Lets take the well-known high-speed film of an oscillating cavitation bubble... For a better visibility we choose a red foreground and a blue background color and select "< Image >/Filters/Animation/Poster" afterwards.

Eject removable media is a servicemenu to add "Eject removeable device" to all media.

Sometimes USB keys etc dont have any GUI option to unmount them (in KDE 3.5.2), and just pulling them out is so wrong!

GTagger is a gtkmm ID3Tag editor which allows you to comfortably browse file lists, select a file and edit/convert its ID3Tag. Furthermore the programm suggests a filename you can accept in order to rename the file suitable to the tag.
Some systems require unusual options for compilation or linking that the `configure script does not know about. You can give `configure initial values for variables by setting them in the environment. Using a Bourne-compatible shell, you can do that on the command line like
this:
CC=c89 CFLAGS=-O2 LIBS=-lposix ./configure
Or on systems that have the `env program, you can do it in this way:
env CPPFLAGS=-I/usr/local/include LDFLAGS=-s ./configure

Multiscan is a tcp port scanner for console which allows you to scan a range of IP addresses. Each IP address is pinged before it is scanned. It is also possible to scan just known ports, and to scan them in a random order. Feel free to send me a mail at coldn@gamearena.net

M3Tk generates M3U playlists from MP3 files and edits ID3 tags. Wrote in Tcl/Tk, the M3Tk create the M3Us playlists from itens Genre, Album, Year and Artist. Scan the computer to search MP3s files and sort them in M3Us playlists. The editor can change (or include) informations about MP3 in one or several files at same time. Plus, you can manage the files names with the MP3 Renamer -- fast and practical. And may open the player, send the playlist to the player to play it or enqueue it. M3Tk has a installer/uninstaller GUI and has a simple and practical interface.
To install, change to directory where you extracted M3Tk package (e.g., cd ~/src/m3tk-2.2) and:
./m3tk-instal
And follow the screen instructions. If you desire to install on folder of ROOT permissions, run m3tk-instal as ROOT.

mod_index_rss is an Apache module that creates RSS of directory contents on the fly. This can be used to publish static files (HTML, images, etc.) to RSS feeds by placing them in a directory.
Enhancements:
- Added support for RSS2
- Added support for enclosures
- The published date for the channel is now based on the directory that is being listed.

GIMP checkmark brushes is fourth in a series of "rubber stamp" GIMP brushes which help making simple objects easy and clean for GIMP users. GIMP checkmark brushes includes 30 brushes. They default to black, and some are in red, green, and blue.

Installation:

Stick them in the GIMP brushes folder and either "refresh brushes" or restart the GIMP. I put them in the system-wide folder, on my Slackware machine this folder is located at: /usr/share/gimp/2.0/brushes

You should also have a local brushes folder at: ~/.gimp-2.x/brushes

Checkmark brushes are my fourth brush collection for use in the GIMP.

Just another item I like to have around, because if I need a little something, I dont want to make a small idea for an image enhancement into a major side project --
which making or finding a good-looking checkmark can be.

I realize most folks use brushes for more artistic purposes than as a "rubber stamp", but lets face it, if we want to get things done in a timely fashion, it behooves us to have simple tools and objects at our disposal.

Since checkmarks will vary only so much, I decided to go ahead and make some of these in color. (Kind of makes a separate package of them worthwhile. (Although most folks would find it easy enough to change the HUE/SATURATION on their own.)

Fle3 project is a Web-based learning environment.
More specifically, it is a server program for computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL).
The Fle3 Knowledge Building tool allows groups to carry out dialogues, theory building, and debates by storing their thoughts into a shared database.
While knowledge building, groups may use knowledge types (also called thinking types) to scaffold and structure their dialogues.
Fle3 WebTops can be used to store items such as files and notes, organize them in folders, and share them with others.
The Fle3 Jamming tool is a shared space for collaborative construction of multimedia data.
