Hanzi Quiz project is a JavaScript multiple-choice Hanzi quiz generator.
Hanzi Quiz randomly generates multiple-choice questions from a list containing Hanzi (Chinese characters), Pinyin (pronunciation), and English. Questions and choices can be from any category.
Enhancements:
- With the v0.3.1 release, the choices are even less random: You wont see the answer to the question you just saw as a choice in the next one. Or the one after that. After all, theyd be too easy to eliminate. Towards the end of the quiz I have to start recycling answers, but youre more likely to have forgotten that youve seen them by then.
- The other improvement in v0.3.1 is that it will now work in Mac IE 5+ (although you need to install the appropriate font to get all the pinyin accents). I had no idea that this didnt work until I visited my family this past Christmas. Argh! All these browsers have different quirks. (I hear Hanzi Quiz is hosed on Safari. That wont be fixed for a while.)
- Version 0.3 was an extensive re-write of the prior version (0.2a), using DHTML and Unicode.
- While the 0.3 series is light-years beyond the 0.2a version, it does require a modern browser. Either Mozilla or its commercial variant Netscape Navigator (version 6 or greater), or Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5 or greater will do. It looks like your current browser will work.
- If, for whatever reason, you want to to stick with the older, non-DHTML version 0.2a, you can find it here. I hope everyone will use the shiny new one, though.

dialogquiz game contains anagrams, hangman, and trivia questions.

Dialogquiz is a collection of console-based trivia quizzes for Linux. Currently the collection consists of anagrams, multiple choice questions and hangman, with around 30,000 questions in total.

Subjects range from The Sopranos to English monarchs, 80s rock to capital cities.

Dialogquiz is written in perl, and is console based. It has been tested on RHEL, Debian, and Slackware, and should work without problems on other Linux distros. It will likely also run on Unix, although this has not been confirmed. Support for more obscure OSes such as MS Windows is not planned.

Please read the INSTALL file for installation instructions. Youll also need the dialog tool (sometimes packaged as cdialog), and perl v5.0 or higher.

All quiz questions were created from data on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org), and were converted into a suitable format using our friends cut, sed, grep, and perl. Wikipedias content is covered by the GPL, as is dialogquiz.

If you spot any inaccuracies in the questions, please hesitate to mail me: I dont have the time or incling to correct apparent mistakes. That said, mail is welcome on any other issue (bugs , feedback, praise/critisism, invitations to help out deposed
Nigerian politicians etc). If youve installed sucessfully on a non-Linux platform, Id certainly like to hear.

libdisassemble is a Python library that will disassemble X86.

A disassembler is a computer program which translates machine language into assembly language, performing the inverse operation to that of an assembler. A dissasembler differs from a decompiler, which targets a high level language rather than assembly language. Disassembly, the output of a disassembler, is often formatted for human-readability rather than suitability for input to an assembler, making it principly a reverse-engineering tool.

Assembly language source code generally permits the use of symbolic constants and programmer comments. These are usually removed from the final machine code by the assembler. If so, a disassembler operating on the machine code would produce disassembly lacking these constants and comments; the dissassembled output becomes more difficult for a human to interpret than the original annotated source code.

Some disassemblers can infer useful names and comments; however, interactive disassemblers are able to successfully disassemble more programs than fully-automated disassemblers because human insight applied to the disassembly process parallels human creativity in the code writing process.

There can never be a completely automated disassembly tool which always outputs correct source code because the disassembly process reduces to the impossible-to-solve halting problem.

eformmail project is a stand-alone CGI program that accepts an HTML form and emails it. The target email address is not buried in the HTML form, making it impossible for spammers to take advantage of this email address.
The output can be formatted by an XSLT processor, and form fields can be validated against a regular expression. A comprehensive manual is available.
Main features:
- Mail the contents of a form to an email address.
- The email address does not have to be present on the form, so it can not be used by email address harvesters in order to spam it.
- The contents of the email body that will be sent is completely configurable. eformmail can pipe the form data through an XSLT processor, so any formatting is possible.
- Supports both application/x-www-form-urlencoded and multipart/form-data encodings.
- It is possible to specify which fields must be validated. The contents should conform to the specified regular expression, else the email will not be sent.
- Single binary program. No PHP, Perl or other libraries needed.
- eformmail.cgi is protected against harvesting of web pages that might use it, in order to exploit it by sending spam through that web page.
Enhancements:
- A spam trap facility has been added, so form submissions that are obviously spam can be dismissed immediately.

httpFileManager is a file management script written in PHP allowing the remote administration of files over HTTP.
httpFileManager will turn your standard browser into a "Windows Explorer" and allow managing files on your web server on the fly. Its a complete replacement of traditional FTP, allowing you to manage files on your web server just with a web browser instead of a FTP client.
httpFileManager project also will provide extended features which are impossible with FTP such as creating and editing HTML files right on the server and zipping and unzipping files on the fly.
The purpose of httpFileManager is allowing file management and Web site maintenance right on the server. It may be used to manage a single site or multiple sites. The root of the files to be managed must of course be Web accessible.
httpFileManager is a simple, yet powerful tool allowing the administration of files through HTTP.

- This release fixed a security issue.
- A number of smaller bugfixes and code improvements were also included.

Syllogism Quizzer is an educational game that systematically quizzes you so you learn all 256 syllogism forms.

Hyperic SIGAR (System Information Gatherer and Reporter) is a cross-platform, cross-language library and command-line tool for accessing operating system and hardware level information in Java, Perl and .NET.
Hyperic developed SIGAR to overcome the lack of portable access to low-level hardware and operating system metrics found in the Java platform. Its now a key component of the Hyperic HQ management platform since it provides HQ with visibility into things that are otherwise impossible to get to through the standard Java API.
Over the last four years of development, weve enhanced SIGAR to support multiple language bindings and operate on more than 10 OS/hardware combinations.
We think other applications would benefit from the type of information SIGAR provides. We also want to create and foster a community of users who will help us push this technology forward and incorporate it into both open source and commercial applications. So we decided to make this technology open source to give others the ability to enhance their applications.
