OpenOffice.org is the open source project through which Sun Microsystems is releasing the technology for the popular StarOffice productivity suite.

It is an international office suite that will run on all major platforms and provide access to all functionality and data through open-component based APIs and an XML- based file format.

OpenOffice.org suite establishes the necessary facilities to make this open source technology available to the developer community.

Speak Good Chinese is a cross-platform application based on GTK technology that allows you or your students to train their Mandarin pronunciation. Our software is based on Praat, leading software in speech analysis. Our speech technology is backed by the Institute of Phonetic Sciences part of the University of Amsterdam.

Enhancements:
- This release makes administrative tasks easier for teachers or students that want to manage or distribute their own wordlists.
- Another new feature in this subsystem is the shuffle function.
- Several bugs were solved related to cleaning up old recordings.
- New documentation was added.

Intel C++ Compiler application is a full fledged C/C++ compiler and debugger suite. Its aim is to provide outstanding performance for all Intel 32-bit and 64-bit processors, while not requiring the need for porting applications from other compilers.

It provides optimization technology, threaded application support, and features to take advantage of Hyper-Threading technology. It is substantially source and object code compatible with GNU C, providing fullest compatibility with GCC and G++ 3.x/4.x both in terms of code and of API. It is thereby also easy to integrate with existing development environments.

WebMacro is a 100% Java open-source template language that enables programmers and designers to work together while promoting the ModelViewController pattern.
WebMacro is a viable (and proven!) alternative to JavaServerPages, PHP, and ASP. Its the fundamental page technology behind several major websites such as AltaVista.
WebMacro separates concerns about program code from concerns about the way a page looks:
- HTML should not clutter up program code
- program code should not clutter up HTML
- you should OwnYourOwnWork
- no-one should have to work through somebody else

The smartmontools package contains two utility programs (smartctl and smartd) to control and monitor storage systems using the Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology System (SMART) built into most modern ATA and SCSI hard disks. In many cases, these utilities will provide advanced warning of disk degradation and failure.

The suite of smartmontools contains two utilities:

smartctl is a command line utility designed to perform S.M.A.R.T. tasks such as disk self-checks, and to report the S.M.A.R.T. status of the disk.

smartd is a daemon that periodically monitors S.M.A.R.T. status and reports errors and changes in S.M.A.R.T. attributes to syslog.

The Z-machine Preservation Project is a Java implementation of the Z-machine.

Z-machine Preservation Project is to provide a Z-code interpreter in Java that conforms to the standard and is easy to comprehend, maintain, and extend.

Architecturally, it consists of a Z-machine core system that is independent of a particular user interface technology. The core systems behaviour is documented and verified through its test cases.
