Pagelets Technology 3.2.21
Pagelets Technology project allows developers to embed Java scripting elements inside of text documents. more>>
Pagelets Technology project allows developers to embed Java scripting elements inside of text documents in order to generate dynamic text-based output.
The idea and functionality behind Pagelets is very similar to Java Server Pages with one huge difference - Pagelets are not tied to the HTTP protocol. That difference opens up a plethora of new possibilities and uses for the technology.
For example, Pagelets can be used to dynamically render the content of email messages, or as a simple source code generator, or to render dynamic content in any other environment - whether that environment is tied to the HTTP protocol or not. Basically, Pagelets are - JSP without HTTP.

Virtual Machine Manager 0.3.1
Virtual Machine Manager (virt-manager for short package name) is a desktop application for managing virtual machines. more>>
Virtual Machine Manager (virt-manager for short package name) is a desktop application for managing virtual machines. It presents a summary view of running domains and their live performance & resource utilization statistics.
A detailed view presents graphs showing performance & utilization over time. Ultimately it will allow creation of new domains, and configuration & adjustment of a domains resource allocation & virtual hardware. Finally an embedded VNC client viewer presents a full graphical console to the guest domain.
The application logic is written in Python, while the UI is constructed with Glade and GTK+, based on mockups provided by UI interaction designers. The libvirt Python bindings are used to interacting with the underlying hypervisor.
This enables the application to be written independant of any particular hypervisor technology, although Xen is the current primary platform. When libvirt is ported to additional hypervisors minimal effort will be required to update the management UI.

Disable - Enable Touchpad 1.0
Disable - Enable Touchpad is a very very simple servicemenu to disable or enable your touchpad. more>>
Disable - Enable Touchpad is a very very simple servicemenu to disable or enable your touchpad (e.g. if sometimes you use a USB mouse, the touchpad may become annoying).
Notice: it only works if it is a *synaptic* touchpad
There are plenty of ways to disable your touchpad, for example through the comamnds synclient TouchpadOff=1 or synclient TouchpadOff=0 which is exactly what this servicemenu does.
At reboot, this setting is reset and touchpad is enabled by default. If you want to disable it permanently, you can comment the touchpad section in /etc/X11/xorg.conf
USAGE:
1) copy the file Disable_Enable_Touchpad.desktop in the KDE servicemenus folder, that is located in /home/your_username/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus
OR
2) just leave the file Disable_Enable_Touchpad.desktop in same folder and right click it; on "action" youll find the touchpad entry

KANOTIX 2006-01 RC4
KANOTIX is a Linux live CD based on Knoppix technology using Debian/sid. more>>
KANOTIX is a Linux live CD based on Knoppix technology using Debian/sid.
The included XFree86 is from Debian/experimental. The main specs are: GRUB based startup from CD, ACPI support, DMA default on, additional support for DSL modems (Fritz!Card DSL and Eagle USB), optimal for HD install (you get a working Debian/sid install in about 10 minutes!), kernel forcedeth (for nForce NIC), device mapper and some other patches.
Simply boot from CD and enjoy Linux. Some tools may request a root password. As none is set, you have to set one using "sudo passwd" or use "su" in konsole.
Whenever you execute something with root permissions, you should know what you are doing! For web surfing over LAN no root access is required. I am sure you can discover many things to do with it :)
Dont try to write to NTFS partitions using the standard NTFS driver included with the kernel, as its support for writing is very lacking - thus it could destroy the partition and the data in it.
There is a new Captive NTFS driver that does a better job at writing to NTFS, so use it instead. For FAT partitions you can enable write-access with the context menu (right mouse button).
You may not have the rights to modify Linux partitions, use the root mode in konsole if needed. Some links are not working in the menu - that is not my fault - the packages from Debian/sid are very new and may have some little bugs, but you can always use new releases.

GCC Introspector 0.7
GCC Introspector is a Perl/RDF/XML/SQL interface to the GNU Compiler Collection. more>>
The Introspector enables the programming tools that deal with source code such as the compiler to communicate in a standard and neutral manner reducing the accidental cost of programming.
Like a telephone switchboard connects many parties who might wish to talk to each other, the Introspector allows multiple consumers and producers of data about software to quickly and painlessly transfer information to each other.
This data about software, or meta-data is read and written in and out of existing software tools via a standardized plug-in interface. Each producer has its own flavour of data and format of data that it stores about your software, and the introspector allows for each software to speak its native language.
The Introspector plug ins act analogous to network cards in an ethernet allowing for broadcasting of the meta-data to the network of consumers.
The usage of RDF or Resources Description Format as the underlying representation is of essential importance. RDF is the foundation of the next generation of the internet, the Semantic Web where hypertext links is replaced by meaningful references to resources of type and quality.
The introspector uses the excellent Redland RDF Application Framework for parsing/serializing, storing/retrieving and querying/traversing the RDF data. The Berkley DB storage mechanism provides an efficent indexing system, and the SWIG Simplified Wrapper Interface Generator provides native langauge interfaces for all major programming systems.
The GCC interface uses Redland to create repositories of data that can be processed by any tool needed. Experiments have been made with compiling this graph data into arrays, so called "ICE Cubes" that can be traversed even quicker than the redland database.
This new technology when available will be able to be used from the same introspector API that gives access to Redland.
