Citation 1.7
Citation project is a web based tool for bibliographic conversions. more>>
Citation project is a web based tool for bibliographic conversions.
Citation is a bibliographical conversion program designed to transform data between several different formats including GTEC, Refer, and Bibtex.
This program saves the researcher time by keeping unnecessary formatting from taking up their time. Currently, Citation is written in Java.
The use of Java moves much of the processing of the program to the users machine.
After downloading the Citation applet, the user is free to log off the network, but can still continue using the Citation applet.
Main features:
- Citation is available in both applet format and command line driven application.
- The Citation applet has the ability to convert between single or multiple entries.
- The Citation application is specifically designed for batch processing of files.
- Easy to use interface.
- Citation 1.7 supports format conversion from: INSPEC, ENGI, GTEC, PSYCH, Refer, and Bibtex to: Refer, Bibtex, HFS (Handbook for Scholars), Chicago Manual of Style, MLA (Modern Language Association), APA (American Psychology Association), and Galileo formats: ABI and Periodicals.
- Citation 1.7 has added new input manual format where user can add his or her own inputs in the input boxes rather than cut and pasting. This also supports format conversion mentioned previously.

Pentago 0.1
Pentago project is a two-player abstract strategy game. more>>
Pentago project is a two-player abstract strategy game.
The game is played on a 6x6 board divided into four 3x3 sub-boards. Taking turns, each player places a marble of their color (black or white) onto an unoccupied space on the board, and then rotates one of the sub-boards by 90 degrees either clockwise or counter-clockwise.
A player wins by getting five of their marbles in a vertical, horizontal or diagonal row (either before or after the sub-board rotation in their move). If all 36 spaces on the board are occupied without a row of five being formed then the game is a draw.
The program includes an AI (Artificial Intelligence).

Notalon is an application designed to make taking Cornell notes faster and easier. more>>
Notalon is an application designed to make taking Cornell notes faster and easier. Notalon is written specifically for the task of taking Cornell notes, unlike a word processor.
The idea came from the words "notes" and the "alon" suffix. Coincidentally, the title of the application is contained within the phrase "not alone", although this was completely unintended.

XQuark Bridge project extends relational databases with XQuery and XML-relational mapping.
XQuark Bridge expands existing relational database functionality with advanced XML import/export capabilities.
It supports flexible extraction and publishing of relational data into any target XML format using the XQuery language.
Using a mapping language, it can also perform efficient insertion of structured XML data into existing relational tables, while taking into account the database integrity constraints and transforming the implicit relations appearing in the XML document into explicit ones in the database.
It integrates smoothly with J2EE servers and currently supports MySQL 3.23.X and 4.0.x, Oracle 8i and 9i, MS SQLServer 2000, and Sybase 11.9.2.
Enhancements:
- This is a maintenance release of XQuare Bridge 1.1.
- It features numerous bug fixes capitalized during the past months.
- See the details in the release notes.

Wikalong is a FirefoxExtension that embeds a wiki in the SideBar of your browser, indexed off the url of your current page.
It is probably most simply described as a wiki-margin for the internet.
What are some possible uses?
- Also See. Interactive pointers on where else to look
- Discussion. Just plain old commentary
- Notes. Plain old note taking
- A roaming blog. Use kwikis blog feature and you can edit, others can view your thoughts on a site by site basis
- Web Site development (dont forget you could restrict your wiki behind http auth)
- Developer Notes, todo lists on a page by page basis.
- Corporate Notes, suggestions to developers, things theyld like to see
- Support / Sales Tool, script or advice to support team (on a per page basis, you get the idea)
- Users install for self help
- Adblock. Recording of effective Adblock filters for the current page.
- Product reviews. Perhaps eventually with Amazon-like ratings?

Net::YahooMessenger is a Perl interface to the Yahoo!Messenger IM protocol.
SYNOPSIS
use Net::YahooMessenger;
my $yahoo = Net::YahooMessenger->new(
id => your_yahoo_id,
password => your_password,
);
$yahoo->login or die "Cant login Yahoo!Messenger";
$yahoo->send(recipient_yahoo_id, Hello World!);
MAINTAINERS WANTED
This module is not in active maintenance now. Thus it doesnt play well with recent Yahoo! protocol updates. If you are interested in taking over this module on CPAN, please let me know your CPAN author ID to me at miyagawa[at]cpan.org.
Net::YahooMessenger is a client class for connecting with the Yahoo!Messenger server, and transmitting and receiving a message.
Since implement of a protocol is the result of analyzing and investigating a packet, it has an inadequate place. However, it is working as expected usually.

AddTraction 0.002
AddTraction project is a SDL 2-player board game with numbers. more>>
AddTraction project is a SDL 2-player board game with numbers.
Two players ("red" and "green") take their turns on a 6x6 board. In the beginning, the board is empty except for a red "1" in the upper left and a green "1" in the lower right.
Taking a turn means setting one field of the board. Setting a field makes it assume the sum of the points of the 8 surrounding fields. But there is a catch: if the field is of the opponents color, their score is subtracted rather than added. If the resulting score is positive, the field will get your color, else your opponents color.
The same happens to the global score, which is just a colored difference of the score of all fields on the board. If the score in the end is red, red wins. If it is green, green wins. If it is black (0), it is a draw.

mod_xhtml_neg 1.0
mod_xhtml_neg performs content-negotiation for XHTML documents conforming to Appendix C of the XHTML 1.0 specification. more>>
mod_xhtml_neg performs content-negotiation for XHTML documents conforming to Appendix C of the XHTML 1.0 specification.
This module for the the Apache HTTP server gives it the ability to correctly negotiate content types for XHTML documents. Without negotiation, these would be sent as text/html. For browsers that support XHTML as an XML document, the content can (and should) be sent as application/xhtml+xml. See the W3Cs technical note for details.
Also see RFC 3236 for some of the technicalities of correctly negotiating XHTML documents.
One solution thats been seen around the web in a few places is to use the Apache mod_rewrite module to sniff the Accept: header in HTTP requests. This is crude but will work most of the time. See an example of this at Greytower Technologies.
This Apache module does similar negotiation, but with the following advantages:
- It can correctly handle relative quality values for different content-types based on the browsers Accept header
- It will correctly send Vary headers and a unique ETag header for each response type, thus ensuring proxy caches will work correctly
- Can perform character set negotiation based on the Accept-Charset header, taking into account the default character sets defined in RFC 2616 and RFC 3023
- Can perform negotiation based on XHTML profiles using the optional "profile" parameter in the Accept header.*
Will correctly degrade caching for HTTP 1.0 proxies
Profiles are XML namespaces that refer to the XHTML variants, such as XHTML Basic, XHTML Mobile Profile, and so on. The profile parameter was introduced in section 8 of RFC 3236.

NetHogs 0.6
NetHogs is a small net top tool. more>>
NetHogs is a small net top tool. Instead of breaking the traffic down per protocol or per subnet, like most tools do, it groups bandwidth by process. NetHogs does not rely on a special kernel module to be loaded. If theres suddenly a lot of network traffic, you can fire up NetHogs and immediately see which PID is causing this. This makes it easy to indentify programs that have gone wild and are suddenly taking up your bandwidth.
Since NetHogs heavily relies on /proc, it runs only on Linux right now.
Main features:
- Shows TCP download- and upload-speed per process
- Supports both IPv4 and IPv6
- Supports both Ethernet and PPP

Prostat 1.3
Prostat software is a statistic tool for Squid. more>>
Prostat software is a statistic tool for Squid.
HOWTO
Archive prostat_1.3.tar.gz contains very little documentation so heres the extra short manual for how to use prostat:
1. install prostat package
2. make your own copy of /usr/local/prostat/prostat.conf and edit it as you want (or edit directly /usr/local/prostat/prostat.conf)
3. run
prostat +g
(or just prostat in case you do not make copy of prostat.conf)
Example:
cat /var/log/squid/access.log.0 | prostat +g/usr/local/prostat/myconf.conf -
this produces statistic for entries in rotated log using options stored in /usr/local/prostat/myconf.conf file (option LOGFILE is ignored while prostat (in this example) is taking log data from stdin)
Note: do not insert space after +g option
Tips:
- use prostat and crontab to generate statistic automaticly as often as you want
- look at analhead.h in source prostat_1.3.tar.gz archive for some information about command-line options

DigiCam 1.20
DigiCam is a command-line interface to Kodak DC21x Digital Cameras. more>>
DigiCam is a command-line interface to Kodak DC21x Digital Cameras. I own a Kodak DC215Zoom and its pretty shitty.
Ive compared images my camera makes with others, and I guess there is just something subtly screwed with my camera.
Focus mechanics or something. Ill probably dump this crap and get a real camera one of these days.
What you can do with it:
* Display camera or specific picture information;
* Display number of pictures in the camera;
* Delete any picture from the camera;
* Delete all pictures from the camera in one step;
* Take picture, save to file, delete picture from the camera in one step;
* Retrieve any picture and save to file;
* Retrieve all pictures, and save to current directory as imageNNN.jpg;
* Set resolution to High or Low before taking a picture;
* Set picture quality before taking a picture;
* Set Flash mode before taking a picture;
* Set Zoom value before taking a picture;
Run "cam" without any parameters for a complete list of possible options. Some options can be combined to make cam usable inside scripts. Please use common sense, and dont combine options like -d and -R, or -t and -d

trickle 1.06
trickle provides a lightweight, portable, per-application bandwidth shaper. more>>
trickle is a portable lightweight userspace bandwidth shaper. It can run in collaborative mode (together with trickled) or in stand alone mode.
trickle works by taking advantage of the unix loader preloading. Essentially it provides, to the application, a new version of the functionality that is required to send and receive data through sockets.
It then limits traffic based on delaying the sending and receiving of data over a socket. trickle runs entirely in userspace and does not require root privileges.
INSTALL
$ ./configure
$ make
$ su
# make install
Enhancements:
- The polling functionality (poll() and select()) was reworked.
- Protocol messages are encoded using XDR in order to allow for host to host communications and sharing of bandwidth management.
- A control protocol and utility, tricklectl, was added in order to control a running trickled.
