SystemSearcher project is yet another Linux security scanner.
SystemSearcher is a Linux security scanner written in Perl. It scans single hosts or subnets for anonymous FTP servers, TFTP servers, SMTP servers which allow relaying, SSH servers, Telnet servers, NFS servers with exported directories, mail servers, Web servers (HTTP/HTTPS), well- known trojan ports, and exploitable CGIs.
You can also scan a list of specific servers and specific ports. It uses non-blocking socket communication with a 3-second socket timeout.
It can also scan for proxy servers which are open to the world (on port 80,8080,1080, or 3128), and SMB servers or Windows boxes sharing directories.

PostArabic project is used to provide Arabic shaping for the map display in DCMMS.
The PostArabic package provides Arabic shaping functionality for PostgreSQL. PostArabic is available from http://dcmms.sourceforge.net.
The package adds the following functions to PostgreSQL:

Enhancements:
- This release adds the bidi_reorder() function that provides better results than str_reorder() for numbers embedded in Arabic text.
- In addition, it fixes a build problem on Linux where libarabic.dll was referenced in arabic.sql instead of arabic.so.

PortMarks is a handy application that helps you keep track your favorites FreeBSD ports on a database, as it were some kind of bookmarks for them.

You can mark the more you likes with stars, write some description, or throw terminals with make on them, to safe some key strokes.

PortMarks is a Gtk# application that depends on castle.activerecord written on C#.

matrix_saver is a console screen saver for FreeBSD. It is based on Chris Allegrettas "cmatrix" which, in turn, was based on the "code" effect in the movie "The Matrix."

The net effect is a cross between a code listing and rain falling on a window pane.

Installation:

Build it:

cd /usr/src/sys/modules/syscons/matrix
make
make install

Edit /etc/rc.conf and add

saver="matrix"

or replace the current value if one is already set.

In FreeBSD 3.1+ "blanktime" is set to 300 seconds in /etc/defaults/rc.conf. If you want to change this then override blanktime in /etc/rc.conf. You can also adjust it with vidcontrol
as root, f.e.

vidcontrol -t 30

would set it to 30 seconds.

Now either reboot, or load the screen saver manually.

To install it manually:

- Use kldstat to get the ID of your current screen saver.
- Use kldunload -i to unload it; is the ID that you found in the previous step.
- Install matrix_saver: kldload matrix_saver.ko (or look for "saver" in /etc/rc.i386, and do what it does)

Wchange provides a very simple wallpaper changer.

It requires only java runtime environment (JRE) and gconftool-2.

Usage:

java Wchange /home/folder/pictures/ seconds [random]

Where:

/home/folder/pictures/ is the directory where are wallpapers

seconds is how much time the system will wait between wallpaper switching

random (optional) use it only if you want wallpaper random switching
