SystemXInfo 1.1

SystemXInfo 1.1

SystemXInfo is a Karamba theme for system monitoring. more>>
SystemXInfo is a Karamba theme, and requires superkaramba 0.37+. SystemXInfo displays:

- Kernel and KDE versions
- CPU Model + Clock (Mhz)
- CPU Performance Graph
- CPU & Case Temperature
- Ethernet Connection Statistcs
- WiFi Connection Statistics
- RAM & Swap Usage
- 3 Partitions Usage
- Uptime and Date

This is made for systems that have 1 Ethernet and 1 WiFi Connections enabled and running.

My Linux box is running SuSE 10.0 + KDE 3.5.1

For WiFi, replace "ra0" with your module name (ex. wlan0)

Under CPU INFO:

I got text "O/C @2700Mhz", as mine is. You can change the text to your o/c specs, or delete it ... as you wish.

To show CPU and Case temperatures use the correct config line to sensors result.

Also you can modify this script further to suit your system configurations.

Thanks to the creator of original Talv 0.1 applet, that was modified further by me.

All these features are fully customizable to allow maximum flexibility.
KStella is NOT an emulator. It is merely a frontend to Stella, a multi-platform, Atari 2600 emulator.
Enhancements:
- Fixed a bug where ROMs with the #" symbol wouldnt appear in the ROM list.
- Added a progress dialog box when loading ROM information from disk.
- Fixed problem with compiling on Mandrake 9.2 when using older versions of QT.
- Finally fixed the long-standing bug where KDE items (icons, rc files, etc.) would be installed in the wrong places. This was due to a bug in the configure script generated by KDevelop. Thats what I get for relying on a GUI development environment.
- Tested this release on Mandrake 9.2 and 10.0, Libranet 2.8.1 (Debian) and Suse 9.0.

KWallBuilder 0.1

KWallBuilder 0.1

KWallBuilder is a tool for adding iptable rules based on the responses of the user. more>>
KWallBuilder is a tool for adding iptable rules based on the responses of the user. KWallBuilder project tries to insulate the user from the complexities of the iptables mechanism.
The current version supports rules based on network layer protocol and ports. It supports TCP,UDP and ICMP protocols.
While KWallBuilder adds iptable rules, it does not guarantee that the added rules will be sufficient to completely protect the system, more details can be obtained from the applications home page.
Though the rpm provided is for SuSE, it can be used on any distribution. The rpm installs in /opt/kde3/ . The application and the icon can then be copied into the KDE directory for the distribution.
Main features:
- KWallBuilder adds rules based on ports and network layer protocol.
- The added rules are restored on application startup.
- Packets of similar type (i.e. those that will result in the same rule) are queued if the first packet of the type is awaiting user response and the user response applied to them.

dnsreflector 1.02

dnsreflector 1.02

dnsreflector daemon listens for DNS queries on a local UDP port and answers with records pointing back to localhost. more>>
dnsreflector daemon listens for DNS queries on a local UDP port and answers with records pointing back to localhost. Combined with OpenBSDs packet filter pf(4) this works as a bandwidth efficient spamtrap.

dnsreflector was written and tested with OpenBSD. If you are interested in running dnsreflector on another platform, please contact me .

PF Setup

table < spamd > persist
rdr inet proto udp from < spamd > to any port 53 -> 127.0.0.1 port 53000

Usage

dnsreflector [-d] [-a address] [-p port]

-d Run as daemon in the background
-a address Bind to this address (default: 127.0.0.1)
-p port Bind to this port (default: 53000)

Linux: On popular demand I made a diff to compile dnsreflector with Linux (tested on SuSE). You will need a facility to redirect DNS queries coming from blacklisted hosts to dnsreflector. I dont know how to do this with Linux netfilter, but if you do, please tell me.
