SunflowerApplet 0.7
SunflowerApplet changes the shadow on the windows managed by compiz when the decorator plugin is enabled. more>>
SunflowerApplet changes the shadow on the windows managed by compiz when the decorator plugin is enabled.
The shadow on the window moves from left to right from 6am to 6pm, and stays static from 6pm to 6am, as if the shadow is being cast by the "sun" moving right to left over your windows. This is just a toy.
SunflowerApplet requires compiz to be the window manager and the compiz decorator plugin to be active.
Enhancements:
- Use Stock Close button on Preferences Window
- Place dot on map for chosen location
- Create SunflowerApplet.server as part of the configure process
- Graphical location picker

Midnight Commander 4.6.0
Midnight Commander is Unix file manager and shell. more>>
GNU Midnight Commander is a user-friendly yet powerful file manager and visual shell, useful to novice and guru alike. It provides a clear, user-friendly, and somewhat protected interface to a Unix system while making many frequent file operations more efficient and preserving the full power of the command prompt. After some practice, you will wonder how you could ever live without it.
Being a text mode application, GNU Midnight Commander can be used locally or remotely, on the console or under X Window System. By using full screen space of the terminals, it provides an intuitive user interface to the operating system, aiming to be a useful tool for users with any level of experience, from a newbie to a guru.
GNU Midnight Commander used to support a GNOME interface, which was historically the first file manager for the GNOME project. This interface is no longer part of GNU Midnight Commander.
GNU Midnight Commander runs on POSIX (Unix-like) operating systems, such as GNU/Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, Solaris, HP-UX and others. It can also be compiled under Cygwin on Windows.
GNU Midnight Commander uses GNU Autoconf which should automatically configure it for every Unix clone. Following configurations have been tested in the past (this list is very old):
- i386-*-linux1.x, 2.x
- alpha-linux-linux2
- sparc-linux-linux2.x
- sparc64-linux-linux2.1
- mips-sgi-irix5.x, 6.x
- mips-dec-ultrix4.3
- rs6000-ibm-aix3.2.5
- sparc-sun-sunos4.1
- sparc-sun-solaris2.3, 2.4, 2.5
- sparc-sun-netbsd1.0
- hppa-hp-hpux9
- hppa-hp-hpux7
- m68k-apple-aux
- unixware
- mc88110-aviion-dgux5.4R2.01
- i386-*-sco3.2v4.2
- i386-*-sco3.2v5
Because GNU Midnight Commander is a full screen program it doesnt run on dummy terminals but anything more advanced will do (like vt100). If your terminal works with vi, emacs, elm or pine it will work with GNU Midnight Commander.

Liquid Sunrise 0.2
Liquid Sunrise is a SuperKaramba theme for people who want to monitor sunrise and sundown. more>>
Liquid Sunrise is a SuperKaramba theme for people who want to monitor sunrise and sundown without having to (wake up and) look out of the window. Ideal for photographers for planning phototours.
If you want to use a background picture (e.g. included bg.png or bg2.png) just edit line 2 in the theme file: bg.png is activated by default in the German version, bg2.png in the English version as example.
Image of morning and evening sun is taken from liquid weather theme Kapsules, meridian sun is from default liquid theme.
Based on the Crystal Sunrise Theme by Daniel Pathmaperuma (http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/crystal_sunrise?content=54805) which is based on sunrise-theme by Flavio Cardone (http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/sunrise?content=25030) - an even more shameless port ;).
This theme needs the sunwait application: http://www.risacher.org/sunwait/
BTW: If you are looking for a french version: chepioq has adapted my theme:

DirSync 1.11
DirSync is a directory synchronizer. more>>
DirSync is a directory synchronizer. It takes two arguments: the source directory and the destination directory.
It recursively makes the two directories identical. DirSync can be used to make an incremental copy of large data. For example, if your file server is in the /data you can make a copy in /backup with the command dirsync /data /backup.
The first time, all data will be copied, but when you issue the command again, only the changed files are copied.
Enhancements:
- This release fixes a bug, compiles on Sun, and adds support for symbolic links.

Socket 5.8.8
Socket, sockaddr_in, sockaddr_un, inet_aton, inet_ntoa is a Perl module to load the C socket.h defines and structure manipulator more>>
Socket, sockaddr_in, sockaddr_un, inet_aton, inet_ntoa is a Perl module to load the C socket.h defines and structure manipulators.
SYNOPSIS
use Socket;
$proto = getprotobyname(udp);
socket(Socket_Handle, PF_INET, SOCK_DGRAM, $proto);
$iaddr = gethostbyname(hishost.com);
$port = getservbyname(time, udp);
$sin = sockaddr_in($port, $iaddr);
send(Socket_Handle, 0, 0, $sin);
$proto = getprotobyname(tcp);
socket(Socket_Handle, PF_INET, SOCK_STREAM, $proto);
$port = getservbyname(smtp, tcp);
$sin = sockaddr_in($port,inet_aton("127.1"));
$sin = sockaddr_in(7,inet_aton("localhost"));
$sin = sockaddr_in(7,INADDR_LOOPBACK);
connect(Socket_Handle,$sin);
($port, $iaddr) = sockaddr_in(getpeername(Socket_Handle));
$peer_host = gethostbyaddr($iaddr, AF_INET);
$peer_addr = inet_ntoa($iaddr);
$proto = getprotobyname(tcp);
socket(Socket_Handle, PF_UNIX, SOCK_STREAM, $proto);
unlink(/var/run/usock);
$sun = sockaddr_un(/var/run/usock);
connect(Socket_Handle,$sun);
This module is just a translation of the C socket.h file. Unlike the old mechanism of requiring a translated socket.ph file, this uses the h2xs program (see the Perl source distribution) and your native C compiler. This means that it has a far more likely chance of getting the numbers right. This includes all of the commonly used pound-defines like AF_INET, SOCK_STREAM, etc.

PGPSigner 1.0
PGPSigner project is a tool born out of the main virtues of a sysadmin: Lazyness and Impatience. more>>
PGPSigner project is a tool born out of the main virtues of a sysadmin: Lazyness and Impatience. Have you ever been to a PGP key signing party? It is fun, you verify all these ids, check the keys on the party list and then... then you get home. And find out that you have 47 different keys to sign with one or more of your private keys. You will do it tomorrow. Surely.
When I found one of these lists from an event eight months past, I decided that I do not want to do all the work by myself. So PGPSigner was born: Strong cryptography and command line completion in a single application.
This application uses strong cryptography, something that might pose problems for you if you happen to live in a region of the world where this is an issue.
To use this application, you must probably install the "Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files" for the Sun JCE. If you encounter the following error.
java.lang.SecurityException: Unsupported keysize or algorithm parameters.
then this is most likely the problem. Download these for the Sun JDK 1.5 at http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index_jdk5.jsp (scroll down to the bottom of the page).

Sanselan 0.80
Sanselan is a Pure-Java library reads & writes a variety of image formats. more>>
Sanselan is a Pure-Java library reads & writes a variety of image formats, including fast parsing of image metadata (size, color space, icc profile, etc.).
This library is pure Java. Its slow, consequently, but perfectly portable. Its easier to use than ImageIO/JAI/Toolkit (Sun/Javas image support), supports more formats (and supports them more correctly). It also provides easy access to metadata.

It is Open Source; free as in freedom and free as in beer.
<<lessThis library is pure Java. Its slow, consequently, but perfectly portable. Its easier to use than ImageIO/JAI/Toolkit (Sun/Javas image support), supports more formats (and supports them more correctly). It also provides easy access to metadata.

Conjury::C::Sun is a Perl Conjury with the Sun Workshop C/C++ tools.
SYNOPSIS
c_compiler Vendor => Sun,
Language => I< language>,
No_Scanner => 1,
Program => I< program>,
Options => [ I< opt1>, I< opt2>, ... ],
Journal => I< journal>;
c_linker Vendor => Sun,
Language => I< language>,
Program => I< program>,
Options => [ I< opt1>, I< opt2>, ... ],
Journal => I< journal>;
c_archiver Vendor => Sun,
Language => I< language>,
Program => I< program>,
Options => [ I< opt1>, I< opt2>, ... ],
Journal => I< journal>;
The optional Program, Options and Journal arguments to the Sun-specific specializations of the c_compiler and c_linker functions are simply passed through unmodified to the base class constructor.
The optional Language argument specifies the langauge for which the compiler or linker should be invoked. The C language is the default if not otherwise specified. The value is case-insensitive and may be either cor c++.
The optional No_Scanner argument in the c_compiler specialization specifies that the processing overhead of scanning all the source files for their dependency trees is unnecessary. If you are only building from clean source file hierarchies (with no existing products from previous runs), then the construction time of large builds may be improved with this option.
