Free suitable for framing software for linux

This is a KDE-based wizard aimed at making the process of setting up a linux netfilter firewall easy, especially on distributions with no firewall tool of their own, such as slackware.
It creates a shell script, suitable for caling from an init script, or on slackware, being saved as /etc/rc.d/rc.firewall.
It currently filters incoming packets, but support for outgoing filtering and routing/masquerading setup is planned.
Enhancements:
- Adding masquerading support, more sysctl options, cleaned up UI and rewrote most of the output generation function.
- Fixed compilation under GCC 4.

Imager::Fountain is a class for building fountain fills suitable for use by the fountain filter.

Provide an interface to build arrays suitable for use by the Imager fountain filter. These can be loaded from or saved to a GIMP gradient file or you can build them from scratch.

MOSIX is a management system that allows a Linux cluster or a Grid of clusters to perform like a single computer with multiple processors. MOSIX is particularly suitable to run intensive computing and applications with moderate amounts of I/O.
Its main feature is to make all the connected (participating) nodes perform like a single computer with multiple processors, almost like an SMP.
Users can run parallel (and sequential) applications by creating multiple processes, then letting MOSIX seek resources and automatically migrate processes among nodes to improve the overall performance, without changing the run-time environment of migrated processes.
MOSIX is fully POSIX compatible. It provides applications with a run-time environment that is identical to that provided by standard Unix, so there is no need to change or even link applications with any special library.
MOSIX was originally developed to manage a single, e.g. private cluster. Recently, it was extended with new features that could make sets of independent nodes, collectively called a MOSIX grid, run as a federated system of cooperative nodes.
Specifically, a MOSIX grid consists of one or more physical clusters, e.g., in different departments, or a collection of independent servers and/or workstations that could belong to different users, as well as any combination of the above configurations.
The goal of a MOSIX grid is to allow owners of such nodes to share their computational resources from time to time, while still preserving the autonomy of each owner to disconnect its nodes from the grid at any time without sacrificing migrated processes from other clusters.
Due to network latencies, MOSIX is suitable to run compute intensive and other applications with moderate amount of I/O over fast networks. Tests of MOSIX show that the performance of several such applications over a 1Gb/s campus grid is nearly identical to that of a single cluster.
Another key requirement for a safe computing is a guarantee that the network is trusted and secure. Since nowadays these requirements are standard within clusters and enterprise intra-organizational grids, e.g., over VPNs, we reccomand the use of MOSIX in such cases. Other than the above safety requirements, nothing prevents the use of MOSIX in any other grid.
Enhancements:
- This release uses version 2.4.34 of the Linux kernel.

X Interface Monitor (abbriviated xifmon) monitors any network interface (most suitable, the ppp# interface) for traffic, load average, and various other statistics using purly ioctl() directly to the Linux kernel.

It also has options to run `connect and `disconnect scripts, for dialup modem users who want easy connecting and disconnecting.

Simple Sound for Small Devices is designed as a very portable, cross-platform API for sound playback on small and embedded devices. Target platforms include smartphones, PDAs, Smart displays, webpads and embedded systems.
Target OSes include Linux (OSS/Free), Win32, WinCE/PPC/Smartphone, Symbian, and AmigaDE (both hosted and native). The library is biased toward real-time audio applications (like games), but is suitable for a wide array of other uses.
Installation:
To install the libsssd library, cd to the src direcotry and type make install
To make the demo applications, cd to the test directory and type make
Enhancements:

- Modularized each function for OSs that support tool libraries (AmigaDE)
- Added initAudio() and freeAudio() functions to allocate the control structure as different compilers may not pack the struct the same.
- Added support to init the audio player with different sample rates, bit depths, and channels (stereo, mono). Added support for user setting max number of playing channels and max number of cached samples at init time.

Picture Downloader is an app suitable for downloading pictures from websites. Picture Downloader as the name implies is an application written in C-Sharp and Gtk-Sharp made to automate the process of downloading images from websites, Perfect for TGPs.
Right now Picture Downloader is in a very early stage of development , this means bugs are still there and some features are on their way.
Main features:
- Scan HTML code to extract links to images.
- Save pictures to a desired directory.
- Filter type of pictures (jpg, jpeg, gif, png).
- Can download from secure sites (.htacces, .htpasswd).

Perl::Dist::Builder is a Perl module to create win32 Perl installers.

Perl::Dist::Builder uses a configuration file to automatically generate a complete, standalone Perl distribution in a directory suitable for bundling into an executable installer.
