Print Plug-In 2.0.2
Print Plug-In provides a basic printing capability for The GIMP. more>>
Print Plug-In provides a basic printing capability for The GIMP.
The current release supports PostScript, PCL (HP LaserJet and DeskJet), and ESC/P2 (EPSON Stylus Color) printers. The PostScript printer drivers handle PPD (PostScript Printer Description) files if you have them.
Using the Print Plug-In:
The Printer option provides selections for many common printers. Currently the print plug-in supports the following printers:
- PostScript printers
- HP DeskJet 500, 500C, 520, 540C, 600C, 660C, 68xC, 69xC, 850C, 855C, 855Cse, 855Cxi, 870Cse, 870Cxi, 1100C, 1120C, 1200C, and 1600C printers
- HP LaserJet II, III, IIIp, IIIsi, 4, 4L, 4P, 4V, 4Si, 5, 5FS, 5L, 5P, 5SE, 5Si, 6L, 6P printers
- EPSON Stylus Color, Color Pro, Color Pro XL, Color 400, Color 500, Color 600, Color 800, Color 1500, Color 1520, and Color 3000.
The Output Type option controls whether the printed output is in color or B&W (grayscale). This option is silently forced to B&W for grayscale images and B&W-only printers.
The Media Size option controls the size of the output. By default images are printed to fit the page and are automatically rotated to fill the largest area possible.
The Media Type option tells the printer what type of media is being used (Plain, Coated, etc). Not all printers support the media type option.
The Media Source option tells the printer which paper tray to print from. Not all printers support the media source option.
The Resolution option controls the resolution of the output. Not all printers support the resolution option.
The Orientation option controls whether the output is automatically rotated for maximum page coverage (Auto) or set to a specific orientation (Portrait or Landscape).
The Scaling option controls how large the printed image is. The default is to scale to a percentage of the printable area of the page. You can also specify an image resolution in pixels-per-inch (PPI) by clicking on the PPI radio button. The image is centered by default, however you can adjust the position of the image on the page by dragging the preview image.
The Brightness option controls the overall printed image brightness. A brightness of 100 is usually good for most B&W and PostScript printers, while most inkjet printers need a brightness between 100 and 120 for acceptable results.
Printing to a File
If you want to print to a file, select File from the Printer list. A file chooser dialog is displayed when you press the Print button. Warning, when you print to a file any existing file will be silently overwritten by this release of the plug-in!
Layered Images
Like most plug-ins, the print plug-in only reads the image from the active layer. If you want to print a composite of all visible layers you need to merge the layers (CTRL-M) and then print.
Supported Printers/Features
Most of the printer drivers in the print plug-in use the highest supported resolution for a printer, with the following exceptions:
- EPSON Stylus Color 600, 800, 1520, and 3000 - Currently the driver only supports 720 DPI printing in "compatibility" mode. This makes the drivers extremely slow compared to the Windows and Mac drivers. Unfortunately, I cannot provide optimized drivers (nor drivers for 1440x720) because of our NDA with EPSON.
- EPSON Stylus Photo, Photo Ex, Photo 700 - Currently the driver only supports 720 DPI printing in "compatibility" mode. This makes the drivers extremely slow compared to the Windows and Mac drivers, and you dont get the use of the light cyan and magenta inks (again, because of NDA restrictions.)

Bug Squish is a game in which you have to squish bugs before they suck all the blood out of your arm.
In Bug Squish, you must defend your arm from an onslaught of blood-sucking insects. Use your fly-swatter to squish them before they suck you dry.
Bug Squish is based on the shareware game "Blood Suckers" for MacOS.
Main features:
Game Play:
- 32 waves of attacking insects
- "Extra Blood" and "Bonus Score Multiplier" extras
- Multiple bug types
Sound:
- Humorous, high quality sound effects
- Fun music
Control:
- Mouse control
Enhancements:
- Fixed "Ugh" and "Ouch" sounds for embedded version.
- Added Start and Continue buttons to embedded title screen.
- Game pauses when you press Escape (Cancel) in embedded version.
- Game state saved when you quit, loaded when you start again, so you can unpause even if youve quit the game completely!
- Splatted bugs eventually vanish in embedded version.
- Embedded version uses hidden file (~/.bugsquish) for high score, instead of a visible one (~/bugsquish.dat)
- Embedded version uses mouse motion, not mouse button press. (Too easy to not lift stylus high enough.)

Wacom ExpressKeys 0.4.1
Wacom ExpressKeys supports the fairly recent additions of ExpressKeys, Touch Strips, and a Scroll Wheel on certain Wacom tablets more>>
Wacom ExpressKeys supports the fairly recent additions of ExpressKeys, Touch Strips, and a Scroll Wheel on certain Wacom tablets. Specifically the Cintiq 21UX Interactive Pen Display, the Intuos3, and the Graphire4 tablets are supported through the XInput and XTest extensions in X.
Using "xsetwacom", it can also provide an automatic change of stylus pressure sensitivity (a.k.a. PressCurve) when going from one program window to the next. This feature is independent of the connected tablet model. A graphical configuration tool named "wacom-config" is under development.
Enhancements:
- This version has a slightly improved logic for Touch Strip movement detection, a minor bugfix related to long filenames of the executable, and two compatibility changes to prevent future breakage in relation to upstream code.

Photorec 6.6
PhotoRec is a small tool to recover pictures from digital camera memory. more>>
PhotoRec is a small tool to recover pictures from digital camera memory. Photorec software searches for MOV and JPEG headers, and because there is (usually) no data fragmentation, it can recover the whole file.
It can recover data from CompactFlash, Memory Stick, SecureDigital, SmartMedia, Microdrive, MMC, USB Memory Drives...
PhotoRec is safe to use, it will never attempt to write to the drive or memory support you are about to recover from. Recovered files are instead written in the directory from where you are running the PhotoRec program.
Photorec ignores the filesystem, this way it works even if the filesystem is severely damaged.
It can recover lost files at least from:
- FAT,
- NTFS,
- EXT2/EXT3 filesystem
Digital Camera
PhotoRec has been successfully tested with:
- Canon EOS300D, 10D
- HP PhotoSmart 620, 850, 935

Gournal 0.5.1
Gournal is a notepad application for Tablet PCs. more>>
Gournal is a note-taking application written for usage on Tablet-PCs (such as the Toshiba M200). Its designed for usage with a stylus, not a mouse or keyboard.
It does not have handwriting recognition but can be used in co-ordination with xstroke to accept text. Gournal is written in perl using gtk2-perl so you will need gtk2-perl along with the gladexml and gnomecanvas modules of gtk2-perl.
The pages are saved as gzipped SVG files (not totally standard yet but working on it). This is my first attempt and I have never used any M$ tablet applications (deleted Win before first boot) so I dont have any idea what features are good/needed.
Gournal looks/works just like a physical notebook with multiple pages. To save memory/speed load time it only loads pages when they are viewed so the app will not run much slower if you have 1 or 100 pages. Each page is named according to when it was created. The pages are saved as gzipped SVG files. Gournal has the following tools:
< Multiple sections >
Fine/Normal/Medium/Think Pens
Eraser
Highliter
Typed Text
Time-stamp
Zoom
Infinite undo/redo
Delete entire strokes
Networkable pages
< Insert Images >
< Load a file as the background >
Enhancements:
- Support for printing the pages and files changed from .svg.gz to .svgz for compatiability with standards

PDA Maze project is a first-person 3D maze game with PDAs in mind.
PDA Maze is a first-person 3D maze game written in Xlib. Its small and fast and runs nicely on the Agenda VR3 Linux-based PDA. It has options for game timers, maze sizes, and different map modes.
Main features:
- 3D, first-perspective view (prerendered for speed)
- Screen scrolls when you rotate
- Walls colored differently on different sides
- Four background (skyline) photos
- Button (keyboard) and stylus (mouse) controls
- Game timer
- Different maze sizes
- Modes for partial (build as you go), total and no overview maps
- Sound effects
Enhancements:
- Added "input" windowmanager hint and title, so program will appear in VRSM window lists (VR->Windows menu, and Statusbar app windowlist). This works around a current bug in VRSM.
