Daily Strip Manager 2.10

Daily Strip Manager 2.10

Daily strip manager is a simple PHP script that offers a more powerful user interface for browsing comic strips. more>>
Daily strip manager is a simple PHP script which offers more powerful user interface for browsing comic strips, downloaded by DailyStrips perl script, than static html pages.
Daily Strip Manager offers sorting, zooming to specific strip, duplicate control, keyboard navigation (2.0) and more. Nothing much for a quick PHP script, but it works for me.
DS Manager at this time only works with DailyStrips setup configured to put comic strip images in subdirectories using date as a filename (e.g. options -l --stripdir).
Images may actually end with whatever garbage but they MUST start with their full date in format specified in config.php, otherwise nothing would work at all.
You should also enable indexing and provide directory writable by PHP user to store indexes in, otherwise expect general slowness (probably this wont show much on some fancy-shmancy Xeon, but I use P3 as my web server, thank you very much.
DS Manager should itself (with all related files) be placed at the root of your strips collection, otherwise it wont work at all.
As of version 2.0, Daily Strip Manager uses XmlHttpRequest object, which adds dependencies on JavaScript and modern web-browsers (Mozilla flavours and IE6 seem to work fine, dunno about the rest). If you are somehow unhappy with this, use version 1.7 instead.
Enhancements:
- This release adds minor interface improvements.

Pacman 3.0.4

Pacman 3.0.4

Pacman project is a simple library-based package manager for Linux. more>>
Pacman project is a simple library-based package manager for Linux.

Pacman is a utility which manages software packages in Linux. It uses simple compressed files as a package format, and maintains a text-based package database (more of a hierarchy), just in case some hand tweaking is necessary.

Pacman does not strive to "do everything." It will add, remove and upgrade packages in the system, and it will allow you to query the package database for installed packages, files and owners. It also attempts to handle dependencies automatically and can download packages from a remote server.

Although the package manager itself is quite simple, the Pacman tarball also comes with scripts that help automate building and installing packages. These are used extensively in the Arch Build System (ABS), used in Arch Linux.
As of version 2.0, Pacman can also keep your systems packages in sync with a master server. You can follow CURRENT and STABLE trees, or lock yourself into a specific version. See the Pacman manpage for more info on this (--sync operation).

As of version 3.0, Pacman has been lib-ified, with a backend library named libalpm (Arch Linux Package Management). Speed in some cases has been improved, and this should allow us in the future to speed development of alternative front ends.

Coin Strip 1.0

Coin Strip 1.0

Coin Strip project consists of scripts which play Coin Strip or Welters game against the user.

Coin Strip is a series of scripts in which the computer plays either Coin Strip or Welters game against the user (See "On Numbers and Games" by John Conway).

The scripts use a recursive algorithm in which the game tree is searched on the fly for sure winners, positions from which the computer cannot lose.

Since the search is CPU intensive, lookup tables have been generated for up to 6 coins on a strip 30 spaces long.

The scripts to generate and play using the lookup tables are provided for the Coin Strip game only.

Jacman 0.4

Jacman 0.4

Jacman is a GUI frontend to the excellent pacman software management software that comes with the equally excellent ArchLinux. more>>
Jacman project is a frontend for pacman software management software that comes with the equally excellent ArchLinux. Hopefully the "J" makes it obvious that this is a Java application.
Archs philosophy is to keep things simple and to keep the user in control. Generally, GUI based configuration tools were deemed "anti-Arch" as they tended to contradict the philosophy by concealing functionality.
Whilst developing Jacman, it has been a design goal to not break the philosophy, but inevitably it does. Whilst Jacman is only a front-end to pacman, it doesnt provide access to all of pacmans functionality.
However, there was a reason for that! I wanted Jacman to provide a visual window for only a subset of common tasks: installing, removing, updating and re-syncing. Some people may like this, as it allows people to quickly explore which packages are available.
Main features:
- installing new packages.
- updating installed packages.
- removing unwanted packages.
- rolling back packages to a previously installed version.

PacKommander 2.5

PacKommander 2.5

PacKommander is a GUI wrapper for the pacman package manager of Arch Linux. more>>
PacKommander is a GUI wrapper for the pacman package manager of Arch Linux.
It is my very first Kommander script; but it does the job pretty well. Use it to install, upgrade, search, remove, query packages (local or repository) as well as synchronize database, upgrade system and clear file cache.
Main features:
- Quite light-weight and fast.
- Can perform almost all the tasks that CLI pacman can do. This includes install /upgrade /remove /query /view details /search packages both from server repositories as well as local packages in hard disk.
- Can be (in fact, must be) started as normal user to perform non-admin tasks like search/query pacakges. Root privilege is sought for automatically (using gksudo) as and when required (e.g. to install/remove packages).
- Can handle multiple packages at a time using a Package Queue system. Essentially, a list of queued packages is shown (packages can be added/removed from queue), from where you can select and manipulate multiple packages.
- Certain tasks like Upgrading entire system, syncing database with server, clearing cache, optimizing pacman, etc can be done by a click of a button.
- Hand-editing of certain configuration files is also supported using nano editor in xterm.
- Every task is actually carried out by pacman. The progress can be seen in the external xterm window and the user has to interact with it limitedly (for confirmations, etc.)
- The UI is fully configurable using Kommander-editor.

HTML-Strip-Whitespace 0.1.5

HTML-Strip-Whitespace 0.1.5

HTML-Strip-Whitespace is a Perl module to strip whitespace out of HTML pages. more>>
HTML-Strip-Whitespace is a Perl module to strip whitespace out of HTML pages. As opposed to other solutions (like HTML-Clean), it does not touch whitespace inside < pre > tags (and in the future possibly other whitespace-aware markup.)

Using the HTML-Tidy (or otherwise the HTML Tidy library) for that may be preferable, because they are probably faster, but this module still exists and will be maintained.

HTML::StripScripts 1.00

HTML::StripScripts 1.00

HTML::StripScripts can strip scripting constructs out of HTML. more>>
HTML::StripScripts can strip scripting constructs out of HTML.

SYNOPSISM

use HTML::StripScripts;

my $hss = HTML::StripScripts->new({ Context => Inline });

$hss->input_start_document;

$hss->input_start(< i >);
$hss->input_text(hello, world!);
$hss->input_end(< /i >);

$hss->input_end_document;

print $hss->filtered_document;

This module strips scripting constructs out of HTML, leaving as much non-scripting markup in place as possible. This allows web applications to display HTML originating from an untrusted source without introducing XSS (cross site scripting) vulnerabilities.

You will probably use HTML::StripScripts::Parser rather than using this module directly.

The process is based on whitelists of tags, attributes and attribute values. This approach is the most secure against disguised scripting constructs hidden in malicious HTML documents.

As well as removing scripting constructs, this module ensures that there is a matching end for each start tag, and that the tags are properly nested.

Previously, in order to customise the output, you needed to subclass HTML::StripScripts and override methods. Now, most customisation can be done through the Rules option provided to new().

The HTML document must be parsed into start tags, end tags and text before it can be filtered by this module. Use either HTML::StripScripts::Parser or HTML::StripScripts::Regex instead if you want to input an unparsed HTML document.

MKDoc::XML::Stripper 0.75

MKDoc::XML::Stripper is a Perl module to remove unwanted XML / XHTML tags and attributes. more>>
MKDoc::XML::Stripper is a Perl module to remove unwanted XML / XHTML tags and attributes.

SYNOPSIS

use MKDoc::XML::Stripper;

my $stripper = new MKDoc::XML::Stripper;
$stripper->allow (qw /p class id/);

my $ugly = < p class="para" style="color:red" >Hello, < strong >World< /strong >!< /p >;
my $neat = $stripper->process_data ($ugly);
print $neat;
Should print:
< p class="para" >Hello, World!< /p >

MKDoc::XML::Stripper is a class which lets you specify a set of tags and attributes which you want to allow, and then cheekily strip any XML of unwanted tags and attributes.

In MKDoc, this is used so that editors use structural XHTML rather than presentational tags, i.e. strip anything which looks like a tag, a style attribute or other tags which would break separation of structure from content.

NetPacket::ARP 0.04

NetPacket::ARP 0.04

NetPacket::ARP is a Perl module to assemble and disassemble ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) packets. more>>
NetPacket::ARP is a Perl module to assemble and disassemble ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) packets.

SYNOPSIS

use NetPacket::ARP;

$tcp_obj = NetPacket::ARP->decode($raw_pkt);
$tcp_pkt = NetPacket::ARP->encode(params...); # Not implemented

NetPacket::ARP provides a set of routines for assembling and disassembling packets using ARP (Address Resolution Protocol).

Methods

NetPacket::ARP->decode([RAW PACKET])

Decode the raw packet data given and return an object containing instance data. This method will quite happily decode garbage input. It is the responsibility of the programmer to ensure valid packet data is passed to this method.

NetPacket::ARP->encode(param => value)

Return a ARP packet encoded with the instance data specified. Not implemented.

Functions

NetPacket::ARP::strip([RAW PACKET])
Return the encapsulated data (or payload) contained in the TCP packet. Since no payload data is encapulated in an ARP packet (only instance data), this function returns undef.

Instance data

The instance data for the NetPacket::ARP object consists of the following fields.

htype

Hardware type.

proto

Protocol type.

hlen

Header length.

plen

Protocol length.

opcode

One of the following constants:

ARP_OPCODE_REQUEST
ARP_OPCODE_REPLY
RARP_OPCODE_REQUEST
RARP_OPCODE_REPLY

sha

Source hardware address.

spa

Source protocol address.

tha

Target hardware address.

tpa

Target protocol address.
